"on paper” HP figures.. being.. 15hp down on the XR.. who uses peak power on ANY road bikes.. a Dyno graph comparo would be MUCH more telling of which engine/bike setup gives the better on road "performances".. torque is king.. as is low weight center effects.. Kawasaki incl.. personally.. I'm leaning towards a Capanord 1200.. wonderful review 💪👍👍 cheers from 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿 nz

    300 km per tank is a little optimistic ... in your screen the consumption showed 7.2 l/100km which translates to 263 km if you tottaly empty the tank , so I would say about 240-250 kms is more a real number. Anyways, very very good review sir!

      I was also thinking that. On my 1050 V Strom I get about 350 kms from a 20 liter tank, until I feel unsafe and need to refuel (technically I still have about 10-15 kms left until empty but yeah :) ) and I average about 5.4 L/100 on an officially stated 5.2 and I am by no means an aggressive rider. I would think an official 6.2 and a sportier engine would produce at least 6.5 in the real world and on a 19 litre tank that would mean about 280 and if riding more sporty yeah, probably down to 260 or so.

    Good work there. Are panniers an extra or are they already included on the price? Does the screen work with a spring, no tools needed, yeah? At high speeds, would you rate th GX above the Tracer (that has many high speed stability problems reported) and the Versys? And by the way...😀 if you could... guess... the top speed..😄 what would you say it is? Regards.

    IMO the previous GSX S1000GT+ looks like competition for the Yamaha FJR1300, this GSX S100GX looks like a Yamaha Tracer 9GT+ clone. They look fantastic & both should be very popular. However, the comparison to the Tracer 9GT/9GT+ is in error, as the 9GT has electronic suspension, only the Tracer 9 does not. Also, the Tracer 9GT+ has linked braking plus radar enhanced braking & cruise control, which the Suzuki does not. Likewise the Suzuki doesn't seem to come with heated grips as standard while the Tracer 9GT/GT+ does.
    IMO the 3 cylinder CP3 engine of the Tracer does have a tiny bit of vibration compared to the GSXS1000GT's sweet K5 4 cylinder unit & I guess the GSX S1000GX would be similar, but I've never felt underpowered on the Tracer, an issue helped along by it being lighter by comparison to the Suzukis. One area where the Tracers leave the Suzukis for dead is fuel ecconomy. I'm getting 52mpg out of mine & that's with often crappy commuting traffic.

      is the torgue lower on suzuki in low revs? I have ridden the tracer 9 GT and i felt it didn't have the torgue i wanted it to have in low rpms, but ... i drive a bandit 1250s and i am used to it

    • @dumptrump3788
      @dumptrump3788 Před 6 měsíci +1

      @gerokatseros I'd have to refer you to Google to find the torque curves for both. But like I said, I don't feel underpowered on my T9gt....the Suzuki I tried wasn't mine, so I had to be cautious, but it did feel brawnier. Honestly, I don't think I'd notice unless both were fully loaded & carrying a passenger at which point I bet the Suzuki would pull away from the Yamaha in a race.
