happy new year Grace 👋
love her reaction of the PWAs ☺
I knew you'd have a solid partner! Thanks for bringing the social dynamic of another person to demonstrate the walkthrough. Seems like you guys would be awesome co-workers. Ya'll are invited to game night! Intelligent peeps. Hope to see a dog appearance in the future. One thing Tana-related: so no local storage, it's just on the cloud? Bit of a dealbreaker for most of my use-cases, especially from a newer company. Cheers
Hey Earl, huge thanks for all the kind words from me and from Grace. Really appreciate it!
And yeah, with Tana cloud storage makes things easier, but I agree it's not for everyone. I'm personally okay with it especially knowing that they already have exporting functionality in JSON format, and they plan to keep making it easier to migrate out, so as to not feel trapped.
But like you said, Tana is not for everyone, thankfully Logseq and Obsidian are still amazing apps for a lot of people. For me, the power of Tana is so good that I'm willing to use cloud storage and take advantage of it's benefits
Thanks again Earl!
Just got the invite and still plan on using Obsidian as more of an unorganized dump and studies but if needed is there a way to export my notes for backing up reasons if I do use tana as a main writing app for active writings?
Great video. It's helpful to have someone new to Tana walk through it with you. I have a really silly question. On Grace's screen, she has her home node and then there's the calendar node under it and another node called "todos". When I got into Tana for the first time, I saw the hame node and the calendar node, but not the "todos" node. Does that come standard in a new instance of Tana or did you create that manually? I've seen it in videos from other people and it's driving me nuts. I don't know if I had it and accidentally deleted it or what. Just curious if it's something that I can recreate. Thanks! Can't wait to see part 2.
Hey thanks for the awesome comment! Perhaps they removed thr default "todo" on newer accounts. But don't worry I don't use that default "todo" I just create my own. I explained how it work on part 2, which is now available here:

Hey Santi. What do you think of ai-assisted calendar products. I think you would be the perfect person to review them. there's a couple options, I know of usemotion.
Hey Santi and Grace! Wow, so happy that you find me useful for your task management! 🥰🥰🥰 Made my day! 💗
hey!! thanks for the awesome comment!! appreciate it 🙏
Hola Santi! Nice intro to Tana. I'm interested in your course but... don't you think it's a bit expensive? 🤔😄 Just for fun, now I pronounce "todo" in Spanish 😂
About the price of the course: I already know many things about Tana, since I've been trying it for a while. I know I will learn new things with your course, but honestly I was surprised with the price, I expected something around $30 or $40.
hey Ferran, thank you for your awesome message. I understand my course is not for everyone, unfortunately I can't afford to lower the price, its a premium product and it's how I make a full time living. I plan to actually increase the price soon, since I believe its a valuable resource to help Tana beginners save a lot of time.
I will be creating more Tana templates though, this might be a better fit for what you are looking for.
PS: and yeah "Todo" is funny, un abrazo Ferran, have a nice day
Spending a lot of time managing tags, and forgetting that you are actually writing notes. When you accumulate a lot of data, it becomes even harder to find what you're looking for if you mislabel something. When you have hundreds of Supertags, managing them becomes a difficult task.
Thought Tana is your girlfriend
I tried to get access with two accounts ... no success. I have never seen an app with more training videos that is not accessible to the public or people that have experience with Notion, Obsidian, Logseq, Roam, Coda, Evernote, Onenote, ...
Hey, They are still in development. Tana for now is invite only
@@SantiYounger they made sure that every relevant YTer got access. As much as I usually enjoy your videos, I have currently lost all interest in this "not available" product. Assuming that there is a functioning product it is quit a disaster not to cash in on the hype but annoy potential customer. I know this was not your idea😉
@@ToriZealot Sorry to hear you feel that way. I understand the frustration of having to wait for an invite. That's why I've been working hard to help with this. Right now I have a few invites for my Tana course students. Otherwise, if you don't think Tana is for you, that's okay too. Thanks for your support
I think the tana method is to restrict access to youtubers and then sell access through the youtubers courses. I doubt this product will ever get off the ground. Just hype..
@@fms6306 Just for others reading this. It wasn't the Tana team that gave me access to Tana, it was a friend.
And they didn't offer me invites for my course students, I asked for them.
I get the frustration of waiting for invites, but Tana will be a paid app, and for now they are giving it for free. I see nothing doing with that. I think it's a great app that will take over in a few years.
Im not trying to change your mind @F MS since Tana is not for you. Just writing this to inform others who are actually interested
