    Thanks for the demo on adding the elastic back. I'm a visual learner, and this really helped me. Now I can make myself some cute lounge pants😊

    You’re ready for the beach! Top stitching and Stitch-in-the-ditch, any tips or suggestions to get these methods from looking like a drunk did it? 😅

    • @tashacouldmakethat
      @tashacouldmakethat  Před měsícem +2

      Ha ha! Topstitching, my best friend is my edgestitch foot, definitely keeps it looking nice and not like a drunk did it. Stitch in the ditch, I tend to make my stitch length a little lower, use an open toe foot so I can see it, and just go r e a l l y slow. And then I don't sweat it if I can see a little. 🤣

    So cute! I wonder how you got the waist band so perfectly lines with your pants side seam? Mine always moves around when I sew it🫠
    Today I wasn't knitting while watching, changes to crocheting 😂

    • @tashacouldmakethat
      @tashacouldmakethat  Před měsícem +1

      Now I know it's you! 😜 I will say I definitely don't always get seams matched up perfectly, but I have a much better chance when I make sure the seam on the bottom is a liiittle further behind the one on the top, because it tends to get grabbed by the feed dogs at a slightly faster rate. So that usually causes it to even out. When it's somewhere I really care about (like on a coat or something super visible), I'll often hand baste first so that it doesn't move when I sew it on the machine. It's a big help!

      Antique malls, eBay and Etsy are my best most-often places to find them.

    I just went to buy some of this fabric and the seller wants $35 shipping for 4 yards of fabric. What?!!! The shipping is more than the fabric itself! Was your shipping charge outrageous also? I can't justify the cost even though I love this fabric so much

    • @tashacouldmakethat
      @tashacouldmakethat  Před měsícem +1

      Yikes, I would message them because I find Etsy doesn't tally shipping well for multiple yards/items/whatever almost ever. I just went through this for some jewelry findings I was getting, where it was saying shipping would be over $17 and the seller came back and told me it would be $5 so did a custom order for me. I may have listed a different seller if the one I got it from didn't have it any longer but you may be able to find elsewhere too. :)

    • @smurfettmm999
      @smurfettmm999 Před měsícem

      I messaged the seller and she set up a custom order with a much lower shipping cost. Thanks for your suggestion, I can't wait to get this beautiful fabric!
