Love the nbme tips
You are amazing, so helpful
Hii!! I have a question, why isn't Osmosis mentioned in any usmle prep video that I've seen so far? Personally, it has helped me so much in understanding concepts in physiology and pathophysiology that I always struggled with, plus it has videos with high yield content for each system and flashcards and questions, so I feel like it's a great resource, ever since I started using it my % per block went up and I feel a lot more confident now, so I don't get why it is neverr mentioned
Really good study strategies :)
Dr Challa, thank you so much for your videos!! I have a question, do you recommend Anki for consolidation or revision phase?
This is very helpful ❤
Make videos on visas ,how to apply n when to apply in according to ur step exams
Effective plan!
Great content ... Can you please post the video on order of nbme ... waiting for it .. thankyou :)
Doc will you please make a video of how to apply for electives and those procedures because we couldn't get any clear infos from websites ....when to apply ? How many hospitals we should apply ? And what are steps and strategies to get in there ?
Waiting for the next one on the order of nbme :)
yes, please @DrChalla! And thank you so much for your videos!
Very good video Sir, was very helpful.
I did however have one doubt, while the schedule does incorporate content review + uworld, should I be setting some time aside for reviewing concepts I felt were weak in my uworld block I did that day? Independent of the FA reading I have to do.
Can u do a video on the options of branches available to get into in residency program and also on how many years each residency takes to complete?
Thank you sir
thank youuuuu
Please post more of your videos
hello Doctor. Would you please guide when and at which step which visa should we must apply and even the electives, I m in my 2nd mbbs now and will be taking step 1 next year. Need ur guidance sir. Thanks
U r so good at this TT .
Thank you 😊
Dr, as you & many others recommend to start preparing for usmle from the day one, if we do purchase it rgt then, till the year we give exam won't it be like we have prepared it from later edition of dat book, or if it's ok with d same book we have purchased rgt from the day one of our preparation. Plz do answer my question.
Please talk about step 2 ck preparation aswell
@Dr. Challa, I'll complete my consolidation phase in August end. Is it wise to apply for step 1 in november end?
I’m doing lecturio with the first aid at the moment. So is it okay? And if that’s good then when should I start Uworld?
Aoa sir if have to give my step1 in 2021 then which first aid should i use 2020 or 2021 i have to give next year in july
Thank you Dr Challa, please let us know can we apply for j-visa after passing step-1?
Hi Dr Challa, I just wanted to know how long should a dedicated period typically be? I plan to have a 2 month dedicated period before appearing for the USMLE, would that be sufficient?
Hi Dr.Challa
Thank you very much for another helpful video.
My question is how I can do my dedicated study period during my internship?
Completing your dedicated phase during your internship maybe difficult depending on the hours you’re required to put into your rotations. If your rotations demand high hours, then I’d say your best bet would be to perfect your consolidation phase during internship and then spend 3-4 months right after it’s done to dedicate time for your step 1 and you should be great :)
Hi Dr. Challar,
Thank you for your sharing.
I finished FA once and did 1st round of UW with 50%. I'm going to take step 1 in 4 months. I don't know how to remember what I have studied.
Do you have any suggestion or strategy for the test?
I greatly appreciate.
Thank you very much.
Which is the best coaching for USMLE in India??
Nice video doctor. Will there be any bad effect on lmg's taking usmle by Trump's decision of visa restrictions.hope you would take time to answer this.Thank you in anticipation.
To the best of my knowledge, people applying in the medical field are exempt from trumps decision on visa restrictions. Alien physicians who require J1 will be exempt from this restriction policy
How can I start to study if I am an img graduated 8 years ago ?
How to do dedicated study period as a 5th or 6th year med student??
Please could you turn down the music to understand you better? , thank you so much your videos are very helpful.
Dr Challa, what is your recommendation for studying to step 1 while internship year as IMG? Should it be just a first pass of FA, or is it worth it to buy the subscription of UW though in this year I dont have too much time to dedicate, and then the dedicated period after graduating the next passes of FA..Thanks for the video, very helpfull as always 🙌🏾 kind regards from Ecuador 🇪🇨
I definitely think that you should buy your uworld subscription during your internship year. I believe that you haven’t effectively started your preparation without first aid and uworld. During internship, I’d say that you should finish your consolidation phase and have all the information annotated and ready for you to start your dedicated right after. After your internship, all you’d need to do is spend 3-4 months of dedicated study to memorize and fine tune that information and you’ll be great! :)
Your first round is mainly focused on just going through the information and uworld, although should be used to enhance your question strategy and provide a platform to actively learn and apply your knowledge, should be used more like a textbook because it has a lot of information that’s not available in first aid
Want help regarding anatomy is there anything short and easy to go through
Hey Dr. What about the first round? Should we purely do theory on our first round? Or start uworld at the start of prep
I explained this in detail in another video :) czcams.com/video/kjhVg2IrTGg/video.html
my school starts dedicated at 3/1 and have to take COMLEX by 4/16. So taking Step 1 4/12. 3rd year starts 4/19... sigh
How would you suggest it after pass/fail?
Do I have to see the explanation after answering or after I solve them all I go back and read the explanation?
Sir please tell is should I buy international edition of FIRST AID
BCOZ IT IS VERY CHEAP IN INDIA AS COMPARED TO IS EDITION
SIR PLEASE TELL ARE THERE ANY DIFFERENCE IN CONTENT B/W THE TWO
Hardik Tomar there is no difference between the two of them. Don't worry about it.
@@esmanuroguz7228 thanks for Clearation sir ☺
How to possible to read 1 block in 1hout 30 min
Thanks for your videos but is it okay to go through first aid only twice
Well, according to evidence based study tips, it takes atleast 3-4 readings of any topic to get a good understanding of it. The first read is to learn the concepts, 2nd read to memorize it and 3rd, 4th and so on to compartmentalize and fine tune it. Considering the large quantity of information that is needed to be covered for step 1, you will definitely forget a decent amount of the book easily. So I definitely believe that it requires 4-6 reads through first aid to be comfortable with it
How do I become a heart surgeon in USA??
Thanks for all the tips...
i was here
Hey is there any resource for anatomy?
So anatomy is definitely a tricky part for the Usmle and everyone feels weak at it because there are no appropriate resources for it. However, most of the anatomy in step 1 is pathological, so you’ll cover a great deal of the information in first aid, bnb and uworld. After a good grasp of these topics, I suggest to spend a day on the resource “Anatomy Shelf Notes.” This shouldn’t take you more than one day if you’re well versed with the other resources and I found it to be very helpful
Good afternoon
Dr. Challa
I texted u on insta regarding usmle preparation suggestions and guide
But sadly it's been 2 months u haven't replied 😞
Should I start with systems first or general?
Honestly, it really doesn’t matter which you start without but I personally liked studying the systems first 😊 however, I’ve seen it done both ways
Waiting for ur video from Thursday sir why no video on Thursday sir
My residency just started so I’ve been backed up with this entire process. It may take me a few weeks to get adjusted to my schedule and so for the next few weeks, I may not have any timely uploads. However, definitely be ready as I’ll release videos as soon as I can! :)
@@DrChalla thank u sir 🙂
