  • Dragon Harald Fairhair is being built in Western Norway. Before we started the construction of the large Viking ship, we built three small test boats. We did towing tests, heeling tests and rowing tests to compare the different characteristics of the hulls of the tree boats.

Is there any way to purchase full drawings or lofting plans for these boats? Do any drawings or plans exist?
My grandma's dying of liverwormcancercoronaryleprosyacnespottybumacutepareidolia, has only hours to live and would love to go fishing one last time in a viking style longboat, so..... you know, it's quite urgent.

@@Martusella ....No I didn't. This Harald Fairhair group are a peculiarly disinterested and uncommunicative bunch with people that show a direct interest in the construction of these vessels, considering they were making a very public display of their activities with the full size version. The best I could come across for the possibility of building a small period correct vessel was the free plans & drawings from here..... www.vikingeskibsmuseet.dk/en/professions/boatyard/the-gislinge-boat-open-source-project/ ........Good luck mate.

More Information instead of music would be fine. This does not mean, that I dislike the singing!
