There is non reason whatsoever for this thing not to have a sonar. The tier 6 does but this doesn’t? This is nuts! I do believe however that a 5.5 km sonar should balance this thing quite well.
That would at least make it modestly a team-player. It would still lose almost all of it's gun duels solo, so... I wouldn't complain.
Will surely get a buff.
That's my guess... I forgot to mention thought the first stab might be to fix it's gun angles, which are pretty uncomfortable.
I got "ROCHESTER" from the campain crates!!

@@tacticangel "Rochester" looks like an absolute AA monster. It would be a great ship to protect an aggressive carrier with smoke, and AA booster.
I have most premium commander but still run Von Spee on this ship. I have had some good games in this ship, but many more poor ones.

Excited as always to see a new TA video and loved the extra scene. >10% of my games are Z35 (1600/74%) incl. a couple of wins against TA. Z44 is a pale imitations at +2 tiers, a +sonar buff wouldnt even make it equal. TYVM TA 😊

Well, I was thinking about it from a campaign ship point of view, so I wasn't really comparing it to Leone or other dogs like Galant... but if I had to say, it's probably not that bad, just the worst campaign destroyer and probably one of the worst campaign ships overall

I wouldn't recommend Blue Furiora in this ship. Paltry torpedo damage if you use her unique skill Mosquito Brutes.
I bet some people will do it just to be as annoying as possible. . . and then just hope for perma-floods, but yeah, I really have no idea how well that will work.
Other than the being annoying part. That will absolutely work.🙃

I don't think any of the German dds have 1/4 pen on their he, pretty sure they get the standard 1/6.
Pretty sure Z-46 has the quarter pen, as well as the premium tier VI DDs Z-35 and Z-39. Hopefully the rest of the German DDs get ¼ pen someday.
@connertravanini773 I would love 1/4 on German dds, would probably unbalance game play though. The z-23 and z-39 with the 150 mm guns don't really need quarter pen.
@@blackbirdmenagerie 39 already has quarter pen and it's quite good, but I wouldn't say overpowered. The German DDs would be fine with it.
@connertravanini773 from what I've found, about 11 months ago so if there is newer info please let me know, the devs said that the only german dds with 1/4 pen are the z-35 z-46 zf-6 and elbing. The he pen seems like it's really borked in legends instead of being consistent like pc is.
So I went ahead and asked the CMs, who have confirmed Z-44 does have quarter penetration. It's been long enough since I've reviewed it (and the guns weren't real great anyway) that I couldn't remember.

Z44 is a plant based burger . Z44 is trash, just like how plant based burgers taste trash. The alternative, a nice burger costs less. Just like how Z 35 is tier 6 and Z 44 is tier 8 . Hopefully it gets Azuma treatment. But instead of buffing the guns, it gets .4km torpedo detectability or something stupid like that.

No reason to play it. If i want the torp boat experience at tier 8/legendary, just play shima...
I'm sure if the list goes long enough, there'd be more than a couple tier 8s before this one.
More unfair destroyers is definitely not required. Communication between players MUST be attended to . Way to many potatoes at the WOWL head Office
I'd probably put this one under "annoying" more than "unfair."
