I got the same purple one and returned it the new strap was a bust for me it loosened on its own and the fabric pieces move and don’t keep the strap in place I didn’t like the new logo tags either

What about the material of the bag, the green looks smooth and the purple is wrinkly??
Hi! Good observation. Both fabrics were available in the original version of the belt bag, and both are still available in the extended strap version. It just depends on the color. I have both fabrics in my collection. I have heard that the wrinkly one can snag but I haven’t had an issue so far. I prefer the smooth fabric but it’s personal preference.

Yes, you're totally right. I'm not a fan and wish they would raise the prices a little and keep the same quality.
I only like the purple color. Can't find it anywhere =( not even on 2nd hand market
There’s a lavender one on eBay right now but the price is almost double.
a year later and Lululemon is still pumping out the same cheap straps! I kept mine anyway because I don't wear it around my hips, but if you do, don't get this belt bag. It will loosen!
I never expected Lululemon to go back to the original strap, it's probably costs less with the cheaper version and it's also longer to fit extended sizes to be more inclusive. I never wear the bag around my hips, always on my shoulder for crossbody. I don't see a lot of people carrying around the hips TBH. It's probably not a big deal for most people.
