Definitely a great bag for shopping💜 I loved being hands free not having to worry about my purse. A few times I forgot I hand it on and thought I left my purse somewhere lol.
It was so so comfortable I actually didn’t know what to do with my hands before we started shopping lol. I almost felt naked haha I always have stuff in my hands. It was wonderful being hands free for sure💜
When you compared the old teeth vs new teeth and say the new is smaller. I think you compared it wrong. The back teeth on both are the same (small) and the front teeth on both are big/same. Also, when you compare the main compartment. You compare her old main one with the hidden smaller compartment of the new one.

The front zipper on yours is the main compartment. The little zipper is your back pocket

I actually like the Everywhere belt bag a bit better.💜 Both are very nice though
