- Took her out for a test ride, Yikes! It's pretty fast and scarry! I couldn't get it up to speed in the yard so I took it out on the street, and the chain falls off at high speed. Time to start rebuilding it!

That thing is pure hilarious. Im glad you rode it before rebuild, thats the most fun I think haha.
Fearless Front I watched all the rebuild update videos and Oh My God!!!!!Hard to believe how great of a job you did!! i like watching all your videos you do a fantastic job on everything you do Great job Fearless
Theres a huge change from when it was like this to what it is now, it's amazing. Nice job fearless :)
Looks bad ass ...... Can't wait to see it when she's finished
Holy crap dude! That thing sure has come a long way!! Lol
sweet i can't wait to see the rebuild vid woot woot. every time i watch one of your vids i wanna just run out and start working on my tractor lol
@mark16443 Thanks, and yeah it was pretty scary, this thing is hardly bolted together.... I definitely need a full rebuild. I'm gonna try to keep the whole process well documented.
Am I the only one who likes the exhaust sound
lol nice, all those old engines have a 1in shaft were as the lower hp new ones have a 3/4 in shaft. looks scary as hell wilthout breaks. i remember driving my dads old dakota without breaks to get it to the back yard and that was scary enough fer me lol looks like its gunna be a great project cant wait to see what your gunna do wit it
YUP, it was! and check out the newer vids if you want to see it now... It's pretty crazy. (but not done yet)
@nikolai5447 Thanks, I can't wait to start the tear down and re-build!
@jack9102 I know, I was a little afraid to ride it!
Now I can't wait to ride it!
Actually it is a Parklane... if you read the spec's and study the pictures. The front end setup, wheel base, tires are different, plus the ranchero has rear fenders.
Huffy used the same hood on all it's model's from 1965-1968 ish.
@dangeroustoys56 GET ON IT! I've been wanting to see the mild mod wheel horse you were talking about building. it's a recipe for awesomeness!
Good way to make people mow the lawn lol makes me wanna build one!!
@johnruddie thanks man, but if you want to follow the build, then just watch through the videos...
Measuring and drawing would take forever, and time is a premium for me these days. I can tell you the frame is made of steel, close to the size 2"x3" rectangular tube steel, it measures 11.5" wide, and 40.5" from front to back. the front axle is about 24" wide, without the spindles and such.
The rest is up to you!
@casebutler we'll see, I think I am going to replace the engine, but it'll be on of the last things I do.. I think. I'm gonna concentrate on building a solid rolling chassis at the moment.
@NicksGarageDoor Yeah, and they were packed with old grass clippings. first thing I do when I get any mower is remove those death plates!
Sounds like your on the right track, were lucky the parts are cheap!
@Growl60 Yeah, It was a little frightening! Make me really want to get it done now though! Good motivation!
@V8Mike93 I was considering a jackshaft setup on it, to get the chain away from the seat support... But I'm gonna concentrate on making a safe rolling chassis first.
hahaha that thing is pretty awesome!!! lol Its only fun when you life is in the faits of a lawn tractor eh? hahah Nice vid man! glad to see paul back. is he gunna get his tractor going?
like always, Great vid! keep em coming!
@67RcodeFairlane yup! lots of work!
@vettet1 Yeah it deos, the rear axle needs to be as wide as the front though
@pease5921 lol! thanks man! It's hard for me to find the time to work on my stuff. I donno enjoy about you, but I enjoy working on my tractors as much as i like riding them!
okay, so I'm building a racing mower out of an old chraftsman frame, but it has a transmission that converts it from horizontal to vertical, and I'm running a 5.5 HP predator. what would be the best pulley setup for that predator, so that it is still fast but also has good torque? any advice is appreciated!
@cjennings141 the whole thing is torn apart and getting a rebuild. It's actually getting a new motor as well.
thanks man
@4343Jonathan Thanks man!
@rex4x4 thanks, it'll be much better when its done
i work with a guy who races mowers. they use twin engines that sound like motorcycles when they are all built up. they do about 45 mph on the track, but his will do about 60mph on a straight road.
@NZHproduction I'm checking the compression on it today. we'll see! I hope it just needs a valve job or something.
@Ms1346793 thanks!
@DSLGKC550 Thanks! I've got it mostly tore down now... just wheels and a frame! lol
Wor&, _xvalxsjf
@TRcustomengineering Every time I got close to top speed, the chain would fly off.I'm not 100% sold on those harbor freight motors yet, I hear they know sometimes. TSC has a 6.5hp honda clone (probably the same manufacture as Harbor frieght) for $179, I may look into that if this motor is useless... It's really big, and I want to slide it forward some.
@bubbawinchester no roker arms here! shes a flathead! I was gonna give it a valve job, but the engine is kinda shitty (broken block pieces) and I don't want to deal with it. I'll probably sell it.
Thanks man! Hard to believe it's been almost a year!
@Thijs18588 haha! I like the way you think!
@TBTwinsFan09 yeah, it must have been like riding a push mower, I think they only came with 5 & 8 hp engines. It's pretty light without a motor on it, no wonder it hauls ass!
@4343Jonathan well, last ride before the teardown and re-build.
the kind is fun and the year is awesome
@NicksGarageDoor I think youve got it, it's in the carb. same thing happened to me... I'll send you a vid, but you might have seen it already. Mine is a 98, so I bet there the same machine! is it a 12.5 flatty?
@Fearlessfront I hear ya man. It sea like all the fun toys that seem like they'll be cheap enough to do are the ones that cost the most haha
@vettet1 Soon, I just gotta edit it now.
that thing is awesome
Hi I was wondering can you use. The chain drive rear that. Comes with them to put a gokart motor on it
@NicksGarageDoor Sweet! Good luck! I hope it serves you as well as mine has!
Needs a lot of work but that thing is so cool!
@Fearlessfront oh lol keep the great videos coming
@Fearlessfront hey where can i get one of those clucthes with the sproket on it
this one now does roughly 50mph with a little 200cc single cylinder honda.
@OMGitzaFORK Not sure, It's tough getting people to film me.
@casebutler That sounds awesome except: #1 I just pissed away my extra $ buying this thing, #2 where do you get alcohol race gas in Maine? Otherwise I'd be all over it
@NicksGarageDoor hahahaha! The motor on that thing was such a piece of junk! I still have it, I dont really know what to do with it..
Nice pt cruiser
you should get rid of the whole centrifugal clutch system and make it belt driven, so you wont have to replace burnt clutches all the time
Scott, maybe your getting to much fuel to the carb? Is it slowly dieing?, or is your carb cleaned?
@Jodbronson it's gotten fully re-built
actually, you can mount them either way. it doesn't matter.
well it just suddenly stops and when im going down hill, it jerks and stops the engine. i have cleaned the carb and it only runs with the choke on about 3/4
Is that a chevy impala SS indianapolis 500 limited editon with a turbo charged V6?
@NicksGarageDoor haha! I was in a similar situation myself, my parents wouldnt buy me an atv, so I bought a riding mower and used that, the rest is history! lmao
no, it was supercharged. And it was not the indy version.
I have a 1965 Massey & Ferguson and I'm having trouble lowering it to make it safer got any suggestions?
@cj15941 I'm trying! this has been way more expensive then I originally though
Weld something to cover the chain. Hate to see you get hurt ;)
make sure you dont have an air leak between your carb and motor. if a gasket goes bad, it would cause it to do that
@fearlessfront
I know it's been a quick year and an exciting build!
you: Honey im goin to mow the lawn
Wife: ok
10 seconds later
you: im done
i love ur vids
@TBTwinsFan09 I think alot of Snappers use friction disc drives
@Fearlessfront Quit leavin us hangin man!! Get er done already!!!! Hahaha
@twistedyogert lol! Just wait till it's done, it should be faster
@jacob6988 here, it had an 8 hp and centrifugal clutch on it.
I recently found a mini mower in the woods and it is now my new project. the hood says "falls" I think and I cant find any vids, pics or info. do you know any thing about it? if not at least watch the vids so you can see what i'm talking about.
@TBTwinsFan09 I don't think it's even possible to speed them up. Im not sure though, never worked on one. Might be easier to sell the Snapper on and find something else, or stick a peerless rear end in it. Might need some fabrication to make it all fit in though but it would be worth it.
@TheRUSSELLBOY once I get a a brake setup to put on this thing I'll definitely do a video. as far as greasing goes; if it moves, grease it! ha ah
wanna make the chain tighter? (my dad told me this one) you loosen the engine mounts, slide the engine (whatever way it moves) then tighten the engine and there you go tighter chain!
If you move the engine away from the axle yes it well
What kind of law mower is that and what is the year
how much did you get that thing for?
hey man its not i have the same thing as yours but i cant find any info on it the stock tires and mower deck are different from the huffy parklane it is some type of huffy tho
@arild365 We should be getting it going soon, he never want to work on it, just ride it.... So I guess I'll have to fix it for him.
And yeah, it's pretty freakin dangerous as well! It should be fun when it's done though.
lol! thats hilarious ~!
i would put a 10hp engine on it and tweek the governor and make it a twist throttle and put some diamond plate in those holes on the side where u put ur feet and reinforce it some with a middle bracket and then sand it and paint it primer they paint it black with some classic red pin striping and a indian pin strip design and put some racing gocart tires and wheels on there and have that thing rolling and oh put a racing heavy duty clutch on it
its a 1966 Huffy Parklane
@69techlover lol! wow, I would be passing cars on the highway at that point! ha ha
@dornbushful I hope I don't need 2. I planned for 1 if I need it.
@1999camaro3800 I've thought about that, But I donno yet. still sort of assessing the situation! lol
What the hood originally from ?
i think it might be worth rebuilding the engine
Damn make it rev!!
@Fearlessfront i think you can get alcohol at a hobby shop But you can put a gas carb on (it currently has a diry gas carb on it) im not firm on my price and ill hold it for however long you want
@cowrider1234 Runs like shit too, everytime I hit the gas it would bog. I'm doing a compression test on it today.
this go-cart is like my pocket rocket. its a 2 stroke i think its a 30-40cc and it has no exhaust and it likes to at random times just die on me as im riding it. does any one have any surgestions of how i could fix it?
sorry for the long time to reply but if you look at it the guys stripped it of fenders flipped the axle bearings upside down to lower it its a ranchero if you want i can make a video response to it
@ridinhonda4life h aha, but if your like me, you dont let that stop you from trying to reach top speed!
@cj15941 haha, u just wait!
That thing sounds just a little grindy....oh btw spark plug electricity is not the way to treat yourself lol!
not really as I have never worked one one of those before
@bobhadababitsaboy yup yup! I may put it out of its misery soon
see this is the reason i like briggs ..........look at all the crap wrong and it still somehow runs lol xD but serously this is a trooper lol
Cool, but thats still a sweet car
