    Good topic Dan and an awesome local Melbourne product by Kap👍👍
    I carry a blanket plus 2 extinguishers in my GU patrol, one in exact same spot as you infront of drivers seat under my legs, and another on my rear barn door above barn door table. My fire blanket also easy access next to my Engel in the back. Better be safe than sorry 👌

    Great work as always mate and so key, we all need to have extinguishers on board and they need to be accessible. Even more important if you're prone to solo trips. Some great tips on uses for the types of fires as well.

      Thanks Jason. Appreciate the endorsement from someone like yourself that does so many km on remote roads. Cheers

    I carry a 20litre fire Knap sack on my trailer in the warmer months and got a 2litre pressure sprayer for under the car if grass acclimated. Knap sacks a little over kill but that’s prob my 20 year firefighter career feeding into it

    These things look like a great solution and being Australian made is even better.
    Do they restrict access when getting into the vehicle at all?

    • @OTWD
      @OTWD  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Heya OldBloke. I was worried about this too, but the seat can be moved forwards and back thorough the entire travel and it doesn’t foul the extinguisher. I don’t notice any difference getting in our out, and although a small bloke I don’t notice it when travelling in the passenger seat. there’s a decision to be made which side you put it on . cheers!

    I had a fire extinguisher in my passenger footwell and found myself storing stuff in there and on the seat on solo trips. I’m talking my portable twin arb compressor, recovery gear etc because it’s so easy to reach into. Problem was fire extinguisher is no longer accessible. The driver side footwell will never have stored there as you’re always there.

      I thought about this and understand that perspective. I often have camera gear and admin stuff in passenger area. when settting up camp I’m usually on the passenger side so ultimately thought it was better there. Well thought out for your needs. cheers!
