The estimated time to ship it down was 5-8 business days. Keep in mind you must attend a VicRoads registration appointment in person, and the lead time on those appointments were 2 weeks minimum. You also need a valid VIC roadworthy certificate brought to that meeting (even though in this case there’s existing valid QLD roadworthy certificate). I decided to line up the VicRoads appointment before the car arrived, but that would only give me two days to get a roadworthy certificate. It did create some stress getting all these ducks in a line - but glad I backed myself because the whole process was streamlined once I got it home. Now I can enjoy it.
A very nice looking 90 Prado. Much prefer these to the 120's.
Looking forward to the build.
The 120s lost the aesthetic that the 90 had. And also the ruggedness. Thanks for watching Allan! Cheers😁
Great intro for the Iron Emu, definitely capable mate! Keep 'em coming. Can't wait for the build video.
Cheers Jason!
Love the number plate, great work Dan!
Thanks Jason😬
Great choice Dan. What a terrific number plate 💪
Thanks Greg. Love this encouragement. I spent a long time mulling over the exact letters for the plate!
How cools that mate!!! Congratulations on the EMU, cant wait to see the build series.
Thank you Sir - I'm stoked so far! Fun times ahead 😁Thanks for watching
Great name dan! Cant wait for more Iron Emu adventures
Cheers mate! Glad you are here for the ride😬
Turns out to be a good buy. Well done. Looking forward to videos of the upgrades (Project emu I guess)..
Thanks Michael, I was just about to reply to your previous messages! So far so good. It is a really nice vehicle to get around in. Cheers
Top stuff Dan, enjoy the journey ❤️
Thanks you Luca. So grateful for your attention and kind words!😬
The Emu has landed!
I thought Emus were unable to fly ? 😆
I have a feeling this one will fly 😀
Awesome buy mate we’ll done ! 👍 you will be back on the tracks in no time !
Thank you Sir! I just uploaded walkthrough video if you are interested in that too. Maiden voyage was in October! So far so good! Thanks for watching😁
That was a particularly heart warming video, and always lovely to see the family. Looks like a great purchase, and glad the effort to get it seems to have paid off. Can't wait to see the kids reaction this end to the new name. They were constantly asking for updates of GD. Love to you and the family
Thanks guys! I will email you soon I promise. We are so delighted to have a capable vehicle for exploring again. Love from Australia
Great work Dan, she looks like a great ol truck , let the mods and weight gain begin 👊
😁Thanks James. I think I replied to this already -did you delete it? Maybe some youtube trickery going on...Thanks heaps for watching. Well said about the mods and weight going together...doubt she'll be 2.04t for long
@@OTWD for some reason CZcams posted my comment in your haunted stream vid 🤣
Welcome mate keep up the great honest work 👍
3tonne here we come!!!!!!
Do you plan to move everything over from grey dingo?
Love it Mate. Hope the Prado serves you well. Great name and I was wondering what you were going to do for the number plate and that was perfect. Looking forward to seeing your adventures
Thanks Terry, I appreciate this comment so much. So far its been good as gold. I have never given much thought to custom plates in my day to day life (mainly because of the expense) but it was an idea I had for the channel a while back - and why not take the opportunity. I reckon it looks schmick! Cheers
Looks like you got a good one mate, congrats.
Looking forward to seeing it being equipped and used in the near future.
I call mine the fridge cos it's big, white and I didn't use a lot of imagination naming it.
Thanks Bloke. A few trips down the line now and so far it's keeping up perfectly! The fridge sounds like a cool place to be in the warmer months - with a name like they, surely the air con works perfectly right? 😬
@@OTWD Sure does.
It has some sort of a system in the back but I'm not sure how that works tbh.
I only sit in the front.
I used to call it my Soccer mums car but the guy at ARB was a bit horrified when I did.
Have you done the Border track yet?
I haven't watched all your videos so I may have missed it.
Worth doing imo if you have a few days free as it's an interesting area.
@@oldbloke204 I call prados without mods mummy-mobiles - because that's how they were marketed...so no hard feelings! I saw your comment on Jason's recent video. No video yet, but it's coming. I recently did it with Jason :) Much dryer.....
@@OTWD Nice.
I shall watch out for it.
