Have no issues like that here at EP most of our customers have been trained by either myself or Jake to: 1. Buy a can of alkylate fuel from us to put in an empty fuel tank at the end of the season and run it for a few minutes a cheap $15 fix to guarantee start up even if stored 2 years 2. If leaving your old fuel in the tank start the equipment every month and add more FRESH fuel each time you start it which rarely creates a no start issue when needed 3. Call to book your service with us in October or November before the snow hits. This was likely our busiest year for early snowblower services. No snow in December or to date in January so things are slow so it is nice to relax. Time to organise the shop and build some custom steel shelving.
Springfield MA area and I have had three people (two are neighbors) reach out to me today that their snowblowers won’t start. It started snowing at 5pm. People are something.
small engine work is a hobby for me too. I DO NOT do service work. I flip them. I'm 80 years old and don't want to put up with the general public anymore!!
Same thing here in New Hampshire. I don't do service but I have several snowblowers listed for sale and every year it's the same thing, they'll just sit there listed with no interest what so ever. Then right on the day of the first snow storm it's 10 to 20 texts, can you deliver, I'm interested, I can come pick it up right now. I'm like hell No! I'm in the middle of cleaning and clearing out my own shit. You should have thought of that at least a day before the storm and now you think that I'm going to jump thru hoops for you, the hell I am. Now you can wait and go shovel it by hand. I totally enjoyed this video and laughed my butt off. Have a good one.
I feel your pain Ken, its the same down here when a hurricane enters the Gulf of Mexico, you start getting the panic calls wanting generators fixed. There should be no griping about the price you quoted him, he'd be getting off very light.
It will be great if you get snow and get to do some snow ploughing with the Cub. A lot more fun than rushing around fixing peoples equipment when they have not planned ahead of using it
Love the straight shooting! I remember when I used to do snow plowing. 12 hours before a storm is usually when all the calls start coming in! Hope you didn't have any issues with the storm.
I tell all my customers I do not work on snow throwers in the winter because I do not have a heated garage so bring it to me at the end of the summer to prepare it for the coming winter. . .Guess what ? They never do and then ask me to service it the day before the snow arrives. Too bad!
That’s why I don’t do work on peoples stuff. I could, but I don’t. Nice cub cadet there. I’d be snapping that one up. Is it a 1650 or 1450. Couldn’t get a good look. Never had a cub cadet in my collection. Yet. Have a great day Ken.
Well you know how it is buddy..... people don't get it man .😒 can't just do stuff at a drop of a hat 😂😂😂 but when they want it... your the best guy around. So I feel ya brother 😅 just do your thing they're going to get the point sooner or later 😊
Hi Ken, this is Rein, your next door neighbor. It’s Saturday morning and the snowstorm is to supposed to start later today. Can you come over around 10 to check out my snowblower? It hasn’t run in a couple years and I never got around to having you prep it for longterm storage. Love, your nitwit, entitled and oblivious buddy. PS - If you don’t have time to check that out, could I pay you to plow me out for a 6-pack?
LOL,,,been running hard for at least 2 weeks, I'm shot and even have a sore throat! Nothin in and nothin out! Gonna spend Saturday resting just in case I get snow. Either way its good for business. I think your slated to get snow, here I doubt I will get anything! So today its all about MY convenience! lol
And your NOT WHISTLING DIXIE BROTHER $100 for pick up repair and return delivery and that's the reaction you get. Amazing that people think you should pay them to work on their I'll say junk. Batten down your hatches and take care.
If you fix it add an extra $100 bucks…this is why you should flip. You shouldn’t be contacting people back begging for their business. You just pushed the ball in their court and let them dictate. You don’t like my prices go else where. You get a machine at a fair price do the same work you do for a repair or less and make more money.
And the whole thing repeats when the grass starts growing 🙂 - good one Kenny

Thanks for watching!
Kenny I love it 🤣 “when you coming to get it?” “I’m not, you can shovel this one” that’s a lesson he won’t forget 😂
I now know why I only look after my own equipment.
Remember when you pay these guys as well they have some overhead too
