I have been watching the ‘Welker’ family videos for the past few years and as a New Yorker I was not familiar with what farmers did until I went to Vietnam. Let me explain; I was in the Air Force as an Air Cargo Specialist. While in Danang I was a member of a crew that loaded and off-loaded cargo - I was the crew driver: AT's, RT's, 25 & 40K Loaders... All equipment used to load / off load the aircraft at Danang. On our crew we had two ‘farm boys’ Ernie from Minnesota and Vern from Wisconsin that never said never to a difficult and near impossible load no matter what the conditions. As an example, loading a CH47 chopper on a C-133 which had frustrated two other crews or loading a UH1 / Huey on a C-124. Our crew got the job done because that is what Ernie and Vern did, they did the impossible and just got the job done. Your Family constantly reminds me of the ‘can do’ spirit and get the job done no matter what it took, that I learned all those years ago. Thank you for reminding us all what a great country we live in…

Farming is different than any other business in the world. Farmers cant raise the price of what we raise supply and demand dictates that. So if fert prices double which they did couple yrs ago we cant raise the price of our product x 2. We get what we get.

I'm in BC Canada. Another hot summer, forest fires burning, towns being evacuated, a lot of stress. I look forward each week to your videos, educational, comedy, farming, it has a calming effect. Can forget for a bit and just enjoy what is up on the farm. That said the video before rain Nick showing the crop shows just how stressful farming is. Really enjoyed seeing Nick out in the rain just watching it come down with a little bit of hail. Now will watch this one. Thanks for all your time and effort.

Levi, I want to thank you for the hard work you do to edit each and every video for the Welkers. You do a great job and want to thank you for the many hours you put into editing, adding music and probably much more behind the scenes. That was my exact thought, I don't think it needs another 50 hp boost to wash the cylinders down with more unburned fuel. Perhaps they purposely geared up too high just to load it up under low rpm to cause the extended black smoke as pulling constantly in a gear with a load will tell a better story for sure.

The millennial farmer just west of Lowery, Minnesota, he is a mile from the farm I grew up on in the 50s and 60s, when his great grandfather was farming that land. Of course now he farms a lot of land in that area plus a lot of land 7 miles south by Starbuck Minnesota. In an interview I saw recently. He makes more money on his CZcams channel. Then he does farming. He always has brand new equipment John Deere, of course, from the implement dealer in Glenwood Minnesota. One of my best friends lives a mile away from him and says he is the real deal. He homeschooled his kids, and now is to oldest are out running the equipment quite a bit, when they get school done with their schoolwork. He is expecting 200 bushel corn and 60 bushel, soy beans. When I was a kid, we had 40 bushel corn, and 20 bushel, soy beans.

That's a very interesting perspective, both the fact of growing up long ago in the same area but as well the drastic difference in crop yields which I expect a lot of that has to do with fertilizer and chemicals to spray out competition, and yes weather. I farm or should say scrounge ( getting dried out this year with a heat wave in the last couple of weeks ) in Alberta as I have exactly zero youtube income !. I had a question for you relating to the Lowry area, what town in that area has more of a farm service type businesses, from general repair and welding shop, truck shops, and of course farm equipment dealerships. I assume there must be some go to central town for the area that services the farming community.

The 377 looks fantastic pulling the new Demco rolling coal. The drone shots are spectacular. You have a beautiful farm and family. Good luck on this years crop.

377 Is a good truck put a million, miles on first one of the assembly line. Our delivery date was changed few times do to last minute changes on the model. Long front leaf springs with set back, axle rode like a air ride steer.

What a video!! First you show us a 7 minute time lapse of the work on the truck and then we get to see a double rainbow during the test drive!! Crops looking reasonably good. Praying you get some rains.stay safe.

Love the build, always good watching trucks and equipment being modified and upgraded to save parts or trucks that would otherwise have been scrapped or parked to be dismantled for parts. I think PeterPillar could be a fitting name given the repower.

I have watched you guys and a couple of families jn the Minn area for a number of years now. I enjoy all three. But the Welker shop work keeps you folks at the TOP of my list. Thank you for some great entertainment.

Could you guys give us an aerial tour of the land you farm? I understand it's a further intrusion into your life.
. It would give us a mental picture of what a day of work means on your farm.
We don't see what it's like when you spend an hour moving your equipment down the road just to get to your next field.
