Saw that Phillips fall off right from the start but did not see where it landed, glad you found it. Great tip on not getting carb spray on the rubber parts many do not know about the swelling. Luckily your carb bowl gasket held in place a real bugger to put back on properly without flipping the unit into service position or removing the carb completely. Good job your neighbour should be happy and that is a minimum $100 bill.
Hey Ken.....😂😂😂😂 my snowblower won't start .I liked that one. Great job brother. 👏 Yes the shroud only thing I don't like about doing that job . Thanks for the tip buddy 👍
fishing the primer line through is the way to go. I do the same with the fuel line as long as the fuel line is the 0.440 diameter line. If it's 1/2" OD it won't pull through the backing plate easily.
Why do routine maintenance when we are neighbors of Ken’s Small Engine Repair - Mr Snow It All? We can just wait until the storm is imminent and then roll it on over to Kenny!
Scchhhhhwwweeeet! Customer just dropped off 2 nice Tecummy powered machines!!! Luv these! I idle my machines around 2k, generally these huge engines wont even idle much below that,,good call on the oiling issue, I forget to say that!
William up here in Canada we get them up and running and either drain all the fuel or run the generators out of fuel and install one litre of alkylate fuel (not engineered) that guarantees start up even if sitting for 2 years. We have had 100% success doing this with even some equipment firing right up after 2.5 years in storage. This will not happen with pump fuel.
Do you think maybe a little Sea Foam would have cleared the surging up instead of using the thumb drill? Good video; I agree Tecumseh Snow King is one of the best engines made.
Sea Foam will solve a blockage issue by dissolving varnish in the pilot circuit. This carb had what we call an undersized hole. Measuring around 0.013 inches. With today’s fuel and its 10 percent ethanol content, many of us small engine guys experience hunting that can be resolved by enlarging the pilot jet hole to 0.017” diameter. The pilot jet I had in the Chinesium parts carb measured approximately 0.016” diameter and solved the hunting issue. Thanks for watching!
You always want to help the neighbors…do the neighbors help you when needed? I had one guy say I’m your neighbor. I said OK neighbor I haven’t seen in 5 years. I’m ripping out my deck and re-doing it next week. I’m starting at 9am do you prefer coffee or tea?
Good job Kenny - another happy neighbor in the bank 🙂
This guy's daughter went to school with my daughter, he called me later and said no worries if I had no time.
Very nice. Thought you were going to have to take the carb apart with that surge, but it cleared up pretty quick.
The luck of the Irish 🤣
@@pattayperformance I'm only 1/4 Irish!

Everyone saw the phillips bit drop but me! Good thing it is a Milwaukee bit (I love them) with a RED stripe I could see and find it!

Nice video! Glad you went back to fix the idle. I’m sure your neighbor appreciates you 👍🏻👍🏻
The pilot jet is an easy fix, except when the drill snaps!! It was bugging me, a Tecumseh Snow King SHOULD idle properly.
Nice job Ken on whatever that thing is you're working on. 🙂
Lol Big John 😅

@@pattayperformance maybe I'll actually see one one day. 🤣

Great job getting it to run. I am sure your neighbour is very happy
Thanks Joseph, hope all is well over there in the UK, I see you have put out quite a bit of content, I'll have to Binge watch it this weekend!
@@KensSmallEngineRepair Everything is good thanks and I think it may be our turn for snow next week

Your a good neighbour Ken. Nice repair
Ken from State Farm. 🙂

Down here It's the generators that don't start a day before the hurricane hits. Lack of planning on their part never constitutes an emergency on mine.

I always had good luck with those old snow kings. I had a yellow MTD once it would always start on one pull.
Best engines ever made, next to Kohler K series of course! When we doing breakfast again?
Well done it’s alive
too bad we had slush. Maybe the rubber impeller upgrade is in the works??
I just love it when someone drops a machine off and says "need it ASAP, yesterday". Neighbor or not. Good fix Ken. Did you get the predicted snow??

My Mom always said kill them with kindness!
I always put a shut off under the fuel tank on these type saves the carb.If they use it
Nice job mr ken, good to help the neighbors, but always never a fan of the last min or the day of something situation 👍
1:05 The mind is the second thing to go.
I don't want to be reminded of the first thing lol!
Would love to see your snow blower in action if you want to .
Next one i will film, this snow was wet and slushy, NOT fun!
Hey Ken, do you think that is what they mean by going GREEN.😅😅😅😅
