- Less of a visit and more of a vicious battle. I can't imagine bringing anyone other than Javik with Shepard and Liara to this mission. His presence here is just awesome, and in my opinion... necessary.

I only brought Javik with me because him and Liara make a good team against Reapers... (dark channel/warp combo) I had no idea how awesome it would be to have him along. Come to think of it, it was kind of a dick move for Bioware to take this guy out of the game so they could charge for him as a DLC.
Javik should of been n the base game period
Hell, Javik lost his entire species, and had to watch them all die. And he's handling it really damn well.

It's so funny how Javik was calm when replying to Liara's explanation of their religious artifacts. It is like Liara: "Our Goddess use this to protect or help Thessia."
Javik replies: "Oh, we did that."
finding javik and discovering prothean stuff were the most interresting parts in this game, damn i was so focussed while playing i felt really like i'm in the game.
I wish there had been an option to grab the sword & shield and fight Kai Leng with them. Anyone with me on this?

And this is exactly why this should've been in the game from the start.
When I started this mission, I brought Liara and EDI. But when I realized what that temple really was, I quit and started the mission over with Liara and Javik because I suspected the conversation would become much more interesting.
This was the second time I cried in the entire trilogy. First was Mordin's death.

The fall of Thessia was a pretty epic segment of the game. Can't believe its been almost 10 years.

The music in temple is so... beautiful.
His Species was already at war with the Reapers for several centuries before he was born and so their culture went through a dramatic change. But yeah I agree. Liara baby we gonna finish this fight!

In their defense, none of them could understand stuff, since they didn't have the cipher. Plus, the Mars Archive had been around for less than 100 years. The Asari had centuries with theirs XD
Marauders were turians, the banshees were Asari, Brutes were an amalgamation of several species, cannibals are Batarians, Ravengers were rachi... that's about all I can think of

So while the Council was denying Vigil and the Reapers, the Asari had a Prothean VI warning of a Reaper invasion and with schematics for the Crucible.

Damn, that load time took forever! Then again, I was playing it on PC...
I guess because they lacked the Cipher (or indeed a Prothean) they could only get glimpses of the VI's knowledge. Just enough to achieve FTL travel, perhaps, but maybe not enough to comprehend warnings of the Reapers.
I used the Falcon on my second play-thru myself. I should probably try that pistol.

Harvester: Reaperized version of the creature with the same name (seen in ME2),
Collectors: Prothean,
Ravager: Rachni Soldier,
Swarmers: Rachni Workers,
I brought Garrus too. The only cool thing he really says is "Ill tear his head off!!". He says that when fighting Kai Leng, after Leng mocks Thane's death and calls him weak.

Actually it's like this. Husks Are Humans, Cannibals are Batarians, Banshees are Asari, Mauraders are Turian, Harvesters are based of.. well Harvesters (Yes, both reaper and normal version are both called Harvesters, their encountered in ME2), Collectors are Prothean, Brutes are a mix of Krogan and Turian, and Ravage are based on Rachni.

Javik was well worth the money, although he really should have been included in the base game for everyone.
And it should almost be required to bring him to Thessia, very interesting lore exposition.

I mean, without Shepard I doubt there's much hope in winning anyway. It wouldn't be the first time she saved Shepard over other things....and it seems to have paid off so far lol.
Javik destroys Asari religion, history, and culture in 5 minutes flat, and slaughters reapers in his spare time.
@captmoroni Only shepard can understand the Beacon, because of the cipher he got in ME1, it wouldn't even activate for any other human/alien.
If you recall the mission on Tuchanka where Grunt goes through his Rite of Passage, and that red crab-like things are being dropped off, check out the creature dropping them off. There's your Harvester.

Hmm, interesting to use Javik. I can see why he would be the most logical choice. As I recall, I think I took Kaiden on this mission (one of the few times I ever used him, I can't think why :P), but will take Javik in future.
@DJBV I brought Garrus on every mission except this one, I figured that if there was any mission Javik would really "shine" it would be here, and I was right :P Does garrus do / say anything fun/special?

Javik's comments are really interesting, actually. I took Garrus along, not realising that Prothean stuff would come up. I have no regrets, actually. While Javik is interesting, Garrus was hilarious. He basically teased Liara to hell about them looking Prothean. And Liara was way more talkative, in semi-denial desperately saying things like "I realise this raises some serious questions about our history..." rofl.
Not true I'm not sure if your pay attention but Batarian's are humanoid in shape they have the same amount as fingers and toes as we do also the codex actually states they are Batarian. Bruntes are a cross between a Krogon and Turian also told in the Codex, they would not say bruntes are a cross over and not say the same for cannibals if they were part human. Cannibals all came from the batarian home world when the reapers first showed up, they was first to be pwned.

scorpion was a great early/mid game pistol for me against heavy armor.

I use the phaeston V with scope and damage until i got the geth assault rifle and that tears through anything with incendiary ammo.
But why run from the rockets? They will not hit Kai Leng, why not run towards him instead?

Harvesters are turian. Turians are birdlike people so Harvesters are a nod to their ancestral species.

Anyone can guess what would it look like when reapers used vorcha and/or krogan to transform?
I remember that Javik had an interesting conversation with Tali in a leaked script about how his people dealt with the Zhal'ti while talking about AI problems, does that pop up at all some point or do you need to take him with you during your missions with the Quarian-Geth war.

I almost used Scorpion against every heavy enemy in the game from the point when I got it. I think it worked really well for me atleast, probably because I upgraded it from time to time.
Having the Javic DLC is just about worth the money for this mission alone. BUUUT I paid a reduced price for the deluxe so....

Um... they are Turian, On palavins moon where you get the primarit James actually says is it just me or do they look like Turians it even tell you in the codex.

Man, it's like all of the Illusive Man's conversations in this game are terrible. Kudos to Martin Sheen for acing the delivery every time, but the dialog is the stuff of a 9th grade English class.

That's crazy your power recharge must be totally slow, you really only need 1 or 2. You should keep your weight as low as possible. IMO
yeah but there is still the issue of reloading, put a high level ammo mod on there and that gun can hold about 200 rounds, not to mention it doesn't even need the stabilizer, things got no kick what so ever.

I like the arc pistol the most. Put a scope on it and its like a sniper.

Husks and cannibals were created from human beings. Collectors were created from protheans. So i wonder which species were the marauders created from?...any one knows?
a prothean should be able to understand it also so why did it not activate for Javik
