I've never seen Vanilla Sugar before, can I just find it in the baking section by the sugar or are they only at asian stores?

I tried the recipe numerous time, i don’t have access to vanilla sugar and and the recipe still turns out great.
Germans use it too. I know it is sold at military post exchanges...... I imagine you will find fast service and delivery from...eBay!!! Otherwise just use plain sugar and add a drop of vanilla!! Boom! Problem solved.

Cheat....use a jellyroll pan with a wee bit of water in the bottom....or in a separate dish on the rack underneath the first rack where the cakes are! Steam at about 250 degrees about 15\20 minutes. I'm going to try a rack and the electric skillet my friends mom gave me....bet we can do it!!!!! I do love a good intrigue.

Yangbabies Vang I couldn’t find what she used at my local stores so I used a different brand of baking powder and the same brand of yeast she used but the rapidrise fast acting kind. Mine came out soft and moist.

I followed the recipe step by step exactly like how she instructed it, but it didn't not turn out good. It's too mushy, too much water, or maybe she's didn't share the real recipe.
I used the same recipe as she instructed and mine turned out pretty good. Maybe you put too much something.
