  • Steamed rice cakes:
    Ingredients:
    2 cup warm water.
    1 bag rice flour / 3 1/2 cups rice flour.
    1 package yeast.
    Second step.
    1 cup water.
    1 cup sugar.
    1 can coconut milk.
    1/2 tsp salt.
    Ingredients mix well then Rady to steam. 40-45 minute.

    014-1:31 stir well 2 cups warm water + 1 pack active dry yeast + 1 bag rice flour. Proof 1 hour
    1:32 cook 1 cup water + 1 can coconut milk + 1 cup sugar + 1 tsp salt at low heat 60 C - 70 C, cool down 20 mins.
    2:019 pour liquid coconut to batter, stir . Proof 1 hour again
    3:17 see a lot of bubble 3:30 steam 40 - 45 mins.Thanks recipe, good cake

    You can also soak white medium grain rice overnight or at least 4 hours and then put it through the blender with water (at least 600watts). Add the yeast while the blender is going--nice and warm--goes off quick.

    Hi Naly, I tried to make the rice cake today and it did not turn out. The measurements are off. It is very thick it doesn't look like yours. Can you please update your recipe.

    Are you sure you only use to cup of water? Because I followed your direction using 2 cups of warm and my flour is really thick it's not liquidy like milk.

      No. This is the easiest & quick method to make it. Try it. You won't be disappointed. I have others that has many stepson and the process takes two days to make.

      Thanks, this is so simple & quick to make. This is one of my favorite Cakes. I have been looking for this cake recipe for a very long time. I like it that you used Glass & Ceramic Wares. Please use Rubber tool when you use the nonstick Baking tool. In this way you won't leaves scraping marks on the Baking Pans or pots. Thumb one up for you for making this recipe in a time saving method.

    iam so confused with the measuring cups..that is not 1 cup its two cups coz you are using the 2 cups..please correct ur measurement it is too confusing but thank you for sharing..

    Please specify how many ml of water. One standard cup is around 250ml.

    We pilipinos have this kind of rice cake and we call it puto. But the difference is that we use rice that soak for 5 hours and grind it. And our puto is more spongy

    I'm confused, the first step under the recipe ingredients, it has 1 cup sugar but it didn't show on the video you added sugar. Yes, on the 2nd step with coconut milk, I saw you put 1 cup sugar. So, that means a total of 2 cups sugar in all for the recipe?

    May l know how many ml of one tin of coconut milk? Is it 500 ml or litre of santan.thank you the rice flour us 500gm if one packet rice flour.
