Bro, you gotta look at the magnifying glass icon for the battle. shows you where the battle should be fought otherwise the war will continue even if you destroy their army.
Can you tell me more about this, I didn't know it was a thing?
@Spartonification lol now I'm not sure if this isn't sarcasm or not. Whenever war is declared, on the top left side that indicates the region being fought over there is a magnifying glass icon that shows u the location of battle. It's a pretty large yellow circle with swords. I also rally my troops and start moving them out to the location to beat the invading armies advance before I accept their attempted claims of the region. That way my troops are in defense positions long before they make it there. It's also helpful to call in ur mercenaries while the claim bar is filling up to get them closer before the enemy armies start showing up.
@@joedarling5175 thanks mate, no I wasnt being sarcastic, ive just never seen that but I will make sure I look out for it now. I guess if we defeat the enemy armies in the highlighted area in battle we dont need to fight continuous waves of enemy?

Everything has changed in the beta 0.7.960 farms and trades have changed a lot and archers are finally useful
Is this game play with the new patch? The patch was supposed to beef up the archers. I'm curious if they're still useless?

Wait how is this the most brutal mode if you start with supplies? I've been trying with the max setting and its been terrible to get by year 2

Not sure it's the right niche but if anyone's very much into manorial warfare and society (military units, castle building, agriculture, etc.) they should check out Schwerpunkt's videos series. They make the best historical introduction to titles like Manor Lords, Medieval Dynasty, etc.. Keep up with the excellent work! Love, Jacques
been really loving the game. but i was trying to collect the achievements and cant because either the baron takes all the mercs or if he dosent i sign the contract and they just dont show up. hyped and looking ford to the next update though
