    Just bought a 2019 XRC. This is a great video! I’m going to change out my belt and I am mechanical stupid. Thank you….

    I love the Husky toolbox in the back. Fits like a glove! Did the same on the Maverick Sport Max :-)

    Great idea to swap out the belt. I’m a believer in preventative maintenance!

    They do not include that tool, I had to order mine also when I tried to take my belt off in my garage. I am glad I found out in my garage than out on the trail. That tool and no led headlights are my only gripes about the xrc. $22000 and can’t include a $20 tool.

    Before you opened the secondary clutch, the belt looked like it was running on the high side of the clutch. In fact it appeared to be just a little above the sheaves on the clutch, so based on what I saw, you wouldn't have had to change the belt. These Canam clutch/belt combinations seam to last pretty well from what I have seen! In my mind, it pays to warm the belts up before really getting on it!

      You're right. Belt change was not really needed. It had minimal wear.

    Helpful vid. What size are the bolts around the clutch cover? Also, I noticed the Expedition in the background. I have the same one. Have you had to do major engine work to it yet? I had to order a new engine for mine. The notorious misfire on cylinder 3 turned out to be a thrown roller rocker. Destroyed the cam and sprayed metal throughout the engine. I probably could have replaced the cam and roller rockers and been ok, but I opted for a new engine with beefed up and upgraded internals.

    Is there no way to adjust the sheave and belt height like on a snowmobile?

    I can't even find everything anymore in my own videos anymore lol. So I'll just ask ya fee things here Dave. If you can catch me up.
    You know model of husky box by chance, I can't find up here. Trying to locate.
    How is the window working? Seem to scratch much easy or holding up?
    And i missed what tires you've gone to in this video what is on them?
    I think that's it. Oh I got two of those clutch pull tools in mine. They were in baggies in glove box when picked up. Maybe I got yours somehow lol.
    Keep em coming. I see a shop for you guys down the road here.

      Window is holding up just fine. No scratches yet.
      Tires are 32" Tusk Terrabites
      I think you must have gotten my clutch tool. You can keep it though!

    Do the Maverick Sport need gussets for the front suspension? I am looking at buying one.

    • @DerangedOffRoad
      @DerangedOffRoad  Před 2 lety

      In my opinion no. If you use the machine for it’s intended purpose you’ll be just fine. These aren’t jumping machines by any means. The suspension just isn’t designed for that. Having said that, the weak link on these is the front lower a arm. They can bend if you aren’t careful. So some people do gusset those. I’ve never had an issue myself.

    What belt did you put on?

  • @jtalonrider4769

    Every how many miles?

    • @DerangedOffRoad
      @DerangedOffRoad  Před 3 lety

      Hard to say. I know somebody with 4500 miles on his Sport X RC. He's still running the original belt. Easy to keep an eye on if you're pulling the cover to blow out the clutches every few hundred miles.
