Did you have it in all wheel drive during the break in period?
My 2021 CanAm X3 Max DS Turbo has a stutter when taking off with light throttle. I have 32" tires, up from 28"OEM. Replaced the clutch spring with the black spring, weights and fingers. Now on my 3rd belt, none have broken, but can't seem to get rid of the stutter. In process of breaking in new belt. Any advice?
Did you change out weights when you changed the spring in the clutches?
The bigger tires add more weight and if you carry a lot of supplies like we do, that could be contributing to your issue.
Stuttering at take off usually means a belt issue but if itâs doing it on a new belt, then you prolly have a grip issue. Meaning the clutches cant grip the belt enough because of the increased weight.
Iâve learned clutching isnât a 1 size fits all. Itâs definitely something you have to dial in depending on what type of riding you do.
I have a 2016 800 odes and put a new belt on add it slapping the caseing, casting, you tell me what causes that please
Have the clutches been serviced?
I would start with inspecting the clutches. Check for pitting and wear grooves. The clutch sheeves will dip down with grooves if the clutches are wore down.
Also does it try to take off when itâs in gear and your not pressing on the throttle?
I have a 2015 can am outlander 500 V-Twin and i just replaced the belt and did a break in process but it has been spitting out pieces of belt out the snorkel but seems to be from the old belt
If your previous belt shredded, there might be pieces of the old belt behind the clutches. I would suggest opening up the clutch box again and feel around to make sure there is no debris behind the clutches. Just make sure your machine is offer when checking behind the clutches. The old belt might of all came out but I would definitely check it out before it damages your clutchâs and new belt. Hope this helps.
Is it normal to smell burning rubber when I stop riding? I have under 2 miles on the new belt.
I smelt some weird smells on a new machine when first breaking it in. Once broke in, you shouldnât have any of those smells.
@Trail Kings ya. I put some more miles on it and the smell is gone.
Good deal.
So after the second 5 mile, low gear, and speed fluctuations ill be able to go "full" throttle?
Yes but on our personal machines I do a 3rd cycle in high fluctuating from 25 to 45 mph in high for another 5 miles. After letting it rest for another 30 mins, then itâs good to go. Iâm overkill though, 3rd cycle is not required but Iâm just overly cautious.
@@trailkings thanks for the quick response sir. And I will also do the 3rd cycle as you instructed. Thanks again
Youâre welcome. We appreciate you watching the video.
Why does my belt keep rotating
can you give more details, please? Rotating in park? slipping? or jerking?
I did not subscribe because you begged like every other CZcamsr.
Sorry you feel that way. Our intent in us saying "show your support by hitting the subscribe button" was not to come off as begging but to explain to viewers how they can show support if what we provide them through our educational videos had value to them. Either way, we do appreciate you watching the video.
