His business makes virtually no money and their family lives off of what Nancy provides alone. And while he loves Joseph, he provides no good role modeling, life lessons or really anything. Not that any of that warrents her cheating, but they both bum asses
This is one of my favorite episodes. Despite Hank acting like an immature jack@ss through most of this episode, he showed how brave and loyal he is towards his friends. He put his life at risk to calm Dale down, and he took a literal bullet for his friend, vest or no. He put Dale in that situation, and he was determined to get him out of it. You get Hank's frustration dealing with Dale's bs, but he knows he went too far with it. Hank is very protective of Dale and Bill in particular, knowing they need somebody to look after them.
Notice you're becoming more invested in King of the Hill and likewise, uploading reactions vids for the show with greater frequency. I'm enjoying the ride myself. Not exactly KOTH related, but you have given me a newfound appreciation for South Park. Cheers man, dig your channel.

Im with quizzy on ripping on Nancy, she knew what she was doing and she did it for years, not a care in the world, shes imo, one of the worst characters in this show, and jhon redcorn is right there with her, and also peggy but for different reasons. Theres a theory that dale knew the whole time but never said anything and played dumb for Joseph's sake, and for the sake of his marriage to keep their family together, ane tbh i kinda agree with it. Quizzy, theres 2 specific episodes coming in the next season or 2 i believe, one is later than the other, but they both show how good of a guy dale is, i wont spoil it, but i cant wait to see your reaction to it. Love the videos man, keep em coming.

Hank and Boomhaur was really concerned about Dale.
The scene at the end with the police and Dale being in the tower - presumably as a shooter, was probably a reference to the University of Texas tower shooting of 1966. And the police, unsure what to do, reading in a manual and finally deciding "maybe teargas?" could be a reference to the Waco siege of 93 where they resorted to tear gas when they ran out of ideas.
