My mom studied law and worked as a secretary at law firms for years and I agree with her: "innocent until proven guilty" is poorly worded. It means the system can/will find any reason to put a person behind bars, even if they didn't do the initial crime they're accused of. The term should be "innocent *UNLESS* proven guilty"

Lowkey big ups to Gale. Texas, especially back in the early 2000's had some pretty harsh weed laws. A lot of southern states do.

It's Hank. He is an extreme example of conservative values. Just like how most of us wouldn't willingly die to uphold our "honor" yet certain Eastern cultures considered that perfectly acceptable.
To Hank, he can't sully his "good name" by admitting he did something as disgusting as using drugs, to him that would be like admitting he r**** someone. Heck, just talking about him _mooning_ someone made him deeply ashamed and uncomfortable, and he expected to be kicked out of the hotel immediately. To Hank, he thinks any and all disreputable behavior is equally horrible.
Just, an explanation of my own thoughts on Hank about this if you need it.

The show will use our main characters to show that, & it can make the characters themselves pretty iffy.
Thats the reason why some fans will hate Peggy to the extreme, & others will say she has her moments.
It's the same hank that kisses Ronald Reagans behind, it's no stretch to believe he doesn't second guess his wife's stance on drugs

Lowkey thats the problem with cartoons running for extensive seasons. Each episode is always a wacky event, & conflict has to occur. The main characters will always be doing outlandish things for the episodes excitement. And then on to the next wacky event in the next episode.
These days we do see shows with linear character progression instead of just an "asset" for a situation on a single episode. So all the crazy things they do will be building up to who they are, & that will lift up & drag down the characters constantly.
I hope that makes some sense.

Can’t remember which CZcamsr I watched, but they made a good point that Hank should’ve left Strickland, at least for a couple of episodes before returning to the status quo, like the episode where Hank became a substitute teacher would’ve worked better if he left Strickland and trying to find a new jobless Hank quit or leaving Buck for lesser situations but Hank was okay when Buck apologized Hank for trying to frame him? Bruh.
You know what's an AMAZING show for character progression? Avatar: The Last Airbender. I recall you saying before that you've never seen it before. Do yourself a major favor and watch this masterpiece. The animated version, of course!
