90-2000 കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി, പാലാ,പൊൻകുന്നം സ്റ്റാൻഡിൽ മുഴുവൻ kms ആയിരുന്നു.

ആദ്യമായി ഈ റൂട്ടിൽ ABS ബ്രെക്കിംഗ് സിസ്റ്റം വന്നത് 2 വണ്ടികളിലാണ് kms ന്റെ എക്സ്പ്രസിലും, പാല എറണാകുളം സുര്യ യോ ഷേർളിയിലോ.
പിന്നെ എവിടെ കേടായി കിടന്നാലും എത്ര ദൂരം ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും പൈകയിൽ നിന്നും spare bus വന്ന് സർവ്വീസ് പൂർത്തികരിച്ചിരുന്നു.
KSRTC പെർമിറ്റ് ഏറ്റെടുത്ത്‌ വണ്ടി ഓടിക്കുന്നുണ്ട് അതിനൊപ്പം LS ആയി ഓടിനോക്കിയിരുന്നു.
എറണാകുളം റൂട്ടൽ മര്യാദക്ക് ഓടിയിരുന്ന ഏതാനും വണ്ടികളിൽ 3 എണ്ണം KMS ആയിരുന്നു
പണ്ട് ശബരിമലക്ക് വരുമ്പോൾ പാല, പൈക എത്തുമ്പോൾ KMS ബസ് ഒരുപാട് കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. പിന്നീട് തൃപ്പൂണിത്തുയിൽ നിന്നും പിറവത്തേക്ക് CHACHI യിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കാനും പറ്റിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.. ഒരുപാട് ആളുകളുടെ വിശ്വാസമായിരുന്ന KMS സർവ്വീസ് ഭാവിയിൽ ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ എന്ന് പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.

ശരിക്കും KSRTC യുടെ കടന്നു കയറ്റം നല്ല രീതിയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു വന്നിരുന്ന പല pvt ബസുകൾടെയും അന്ത്യത്തിനു കാരണമായി. എന്നാൽ Ksrtc രെക്ഷപെട്ടോ.. അതും ഇല്ല 😥

I proudly remember my school and college days. My house was situated near 2 ആം മൈൽ.. From 8th std to degree i studied in Pala. My only conveyance mode was KMS bus. As all buses have the name KMS, we used to identify the bus by its destination board like Erumely bys, Chettuthode, Puncha vayal, Mundakkayam, Mukkoottuthara etc. Then thete were two buses named St. Mary and one St. Joseph.Thete was one woens only Collegebus for Alphonsa college studants only. Employees were very polite, cooperative and one important peculiarity was that KMS buses would allow concession students to travel by sitting, other private buses would not allow students to sit on seats for cincession tickets. Mainly 100 cc two wheeler population,Young ladies gents turn to use two wheelers So collection comes down.
Govt: Withdrawn diesel subsidy.
Heavy insurance for route buses.
High operating cost labour welfare fund,Cost of spares and consumables etc..
Unhealthy competition from KSRTC side.
So it is not a viable service sector now.
