"i hated the losing and i wasn't enjoying the winning and you can't do it like that. the scale wasn't balancing for me." goddamn, that was such a great insight and it happens to so many of us when we want to do the things we love at a high level.

You could hear it in his voice, that little catch when you get emotional, how much he loves and respects Steph. That’s all you really need to know about Steph Curry.
Bob's a legend.
He still drafted James Wiseman like Joe Dumars drafted Darko. He should have traded down in that draft or traded the pick in a package for player who could help Warriors win now in 2020.😂😂
@@Sam19509Cool 💍💍💍💍
Any other things you want to package into a now obvious history summary?
Perhaps how Archduke Franz Ferdinand’s cart driver needed to make a left instead of right turn in Sarajevo in 1914.
@@Sam19509not only did he draft wiseman, Kerr told Anthony Edwards they weren’t going to draft him, meaning they would’ve picked wiseman over ant
@@samvega290 lol no they wouldn’t. Ant was consensus #1 pick that year he didn’t workout for other teams but the Timberwolves.
@@samvega290 Kerr said that after the Wolves had already had the number 1 pick. He was trying to motivate him. There's plenty of articles on this brotha. Simple Google search isn't hard.
He’s an open book who speaks eloquently. And JJ’s an incredible host. Excited for the full pod!
Steph is one of a kind. 🎉❤

I really admire Bob's integrity on interviews and it really struck me all the time. It is inspiring and it made me cry as well. I can't wait to see the full podcast to be aired. 😍♥️👏
JJ and his team are so freaking good at this podcast thing.
I know everybody already knows this, but everything they do is done right. This is the perfect sneak peak clip to get ppl excited for full drop.
You can tell people really respect JJ, the conversations feel very genuine and not forced at all. I started following when he had Andrew Yang on back in like 2020 or something and even then it was obvious how good he was at podcast.
It's probably the second best podcast in terms of total quality from guests to production to topics that I've ever watched. Its behind only JRE and that's saying a lot. We are watching JJ evolve into THE go to NBA content for a whole generation. GOATed podcast already

This story perfectly captures why other players are jealous of Steph. Skinny unathletic dude who is just having fun and yet changed the game. Doesn't seem insecure, doesn't need to treat people like crap, and still instill winning.
"Unathletic" bruhh🤣🤣

@SupaHans04 I don't think he meant literally unathletic. more like he doesnt "look" athletic he's not super tall not super muscular doesn't have crazy speed or jumping ability. of course he's athletic he's in the nba. but he not overly athletic he's not gonna ant edwards somebody he looks like an average person

One of the best GM in the League, and an amazing person as well
He drafted Wiseman, can’t be that great
He still drafted James Wiseman.😂😂

So Steph is someone very special ❤
I don’t know him of course but I think even as a fan I can see this guy is soooo special and we are very lucky to watch him him be who he is an do wat he does every single day
This guy has a great mind and philosophy for sure.
A couple months again on the joe mozzulla video I left a comment asking about getting a former gm and some interesting questions... I'm glad this is happening.
Rashad McCants would lose his mind hearing this LMAO. Someone send this clip to Gil’s Arenas lol. I agree also tho best player on a team is sometimes not THE leader of the team but there can be more than 1 on any team.
Chill don’t bring him up, he’ll show up like the bogeyman, and be as wrong as possible 🤣🤣🤣🤣
We'll send it over and see what he thinks Lol
Who?
Yh, we all can see it during games. He is just playing ball. And he always says he doesnt want to take any moment for granted
"He's just way better"... then laughs. Love JJ
When you talk about GOAT race, love of the game and brings it to his team.
Pretty interesting discussion.

Glad to have at least one person in the media that backs Steph. This 'bad/questionable leader' narrative would have just run rampant, and Steph doesnt care to address it.
Jj was my favorite player
That is the light of Jesus shinning through Steph!
If he really is Christian at home. God is really working through him.
Steph curry is a good dude. We take him for granted now but who would have thought the kid from Davidson would be a top 15 player of all time 😂. I remember thinking he will be fun in the NBA maybe he’ll jack a bunch of 3’s up and average 20-22 a couple years.
He's going to go down top 5 best PG. You sell him short.

Damn I'm gonna stop myself from Watchung the clips so I can enjoy the full interview when it drops.
This one is gonna be a must watch.
did you get it boiyz? not everything about championship is to be serious. of course it can work but i better be on a team where my teamates are having fun. like JJredick said "these mother fuckers are having fun" and we are losing
i feel like bench reactions and teams joking around became more popular while/after the Steph n KD era. I use to see other teams bench looking bored while the warriors bench was hyped. lol maybe because the other team was getting smacked though so that may be a root cause to it too
The Joy of the Lord 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Amen there is nothing like it❤
I'd have given a lot to have witnessed JJ win a ring with the Dubs.

Underrated comment😂
The best player leads by example.
This is what a good secure childhood makes: a good human being. Take notes
Nothing to do with the video but here's a story. I played against JJ when I went to Roanoke College in VA it was the summer before his freshman year at Duke I believe. It was him and his highschool 5 verse me a soccer player and 4 starters for roanoke basketball we won 2 of 3 but JJ was nice shooting and hitting deep threes and was taller and bigger then I was thinking..nice guy we were all kids..he was def dunking after we were done playing just messing around but he could def dunk it no prob and you could just see how his shooting was way above average..good memories thanks JJ
Who, seriously, who hates Steph Curry? Even his rivals have such reverence for the man's talent and character. Speaks volumes
Longest question ever
man, i wish JJ would of sign ONE year deal with the Warriors just to play with Curry/Klay/KD era cause JJ was a sharp 3pt shooter too it would of been raining 3s all game
Yes, there is leadership. But I think the key thing is just letting your best players be who they are. This ain't the 90s and early 2000s where everybody is all about business. This is a playground game. MJ lead because he was unabashedly himself. Shaq and Kobe won together, until their personalities clashed and they didn't like how each other carried themself. But they won again separately because they could be unabashedly themself. The Spurs big 3 were successful because their Big 3 could be themselves. Lebron was unlocked after losing in the finals against Dallas because, yes, their team was a cheat code. But they had fun in years 2 and 3 for sure. Then come my warriors. Their chemistry was on point because all their players could just be who they want to be. Steph the jovial assassin. Klay the lowkey weird but really cool guy. Draymond, the agitator. Each person unlocked at an individual level and then when on the court, they can be maximized because they just need to think basketball.
I would really love to see Steph playing for the
New York Knicks 🏀
Where’s the hoody from
Steph living like Jesus.
my goat Steph
Not to rip on the production crew since I'm sure they work hard to put a great product out there, but why is the camera shaking/unsteady each time it's focused on JJ? Rather distracting here.
Steph is also a light to the NBA. He'll be missed even by rivals when retiring.
It is pretty insane that in all these years, no-one who's ever met Steph has found anything negative to say about him
The timing he left, as a Warriors fan, I remind everybody to just not take his word for it. He said it's not about "Jumping off the Titanic" as Chuck put it, but it's exactly that. All these "other issues", that he "can't be as fully commted", then guess what, not even 1 year later, he find himself doing the GM job for another team. So really just watch this guy's action, it speaks louder than whatever he has to say.
He’s in the NFL now, he could’ve just gotten tired of the same thing and decided to move on. Completely new challenge to tackle
W
Did JJ just gave a 5mins long answer to his own question before asking it? 😂
so early it’s all bots in here
This show has some great guests but never asks the hard questions: Do you think the warriors should be broken up? What is the most contentious fight in the locker room? So many questions unasked.
KD should finish his career with the Warriors. We should trade Draymond, and Klay needs to take a substantial pay cut. We also need a center.
Well I think I can conclude it here as an One Piece fan. Magic is the original 'Joyboy', while Steph is the Luffy's Joyboy whose style of play and contagious joy simply stretching the imagination of how to play basketball that it frees everyone to just shoot the ball and that it changes the game itself and how we view it 😂
Steph Curry is the greatest person of all time.
elite meat ride
What is jj talking about? I'd like to know who was the leader on each team he played for?
Steph is NBA Joyboy
Go straight to your question dude! No need to spend half the video trying to get to your question
It always annoy me when pundits criticize Kawhi Leonard for not being a vocal 'leader'. The best player does NOT need to be the leader on the team.
he knows it's duBs last dance. an end of a dynasty!
If Warriors got a Lakers whistle, and Steph got a LeBalco whistle, Warriors would be a top 4 seed and Steph would average Luka-like numbers. 😤😤
U sound crazy.
@@jasondavis2733 or... or... I'm spot on and you're just a LeBalco apologist. 🙂
It sounds crazy but that's cuz it is they be hounding Steph all game but because most of its off ball they swallow their whistles its bs because as good a FT shooter he is he'd probably easily average 40pts
prime example of leadership not coming from the best player would be Derek Fisher on the second stint with the lakers
Kobe was clearly the leader on that team.
Draymond has gotten his act together since Steph and Steve finally held him responsible.
you can question KD's leadership, but question anything about steph and JJ will make a youtube video to defend him
Kevin Durant can’t lead, he can only play in the system where he is not the man and where he can get it easy

Bob's a ayesha's bull.
People can tell curry is genuine just as much as people could tell draymond is fake
Yet genuine Curry loves Draymond. Make it make sense
Yeah pretty contradicting to say someone as genuine as Steph loves someone as “fake” as Draymond, so is Steph not as genuine as u think he is? How does that make any sense
You could use every other word in the English language to describe Draymond Green before you could use the word "fake"
It does. Because Draymond on the court can't control himself but he's not his on court persona all the time. Have you never seen people at workplaces be completely different people? I can think of people in my own family who fit that bill@@silewis9396
PREACH!!!!
wtf is this lineup JJ has?
Welp now he is dealing with Draymond bs and have your shooting partner coming of the bench and have to carry the weight all on his own and in the the play in. Still the goat though
Man I hate how this channel releases clips before the full podcast drops. I'd rather just get into the whole thing, not have all the best spots spoiled for me before I'm even able to watch it.
One might argue releasing it the other way round would make more sense, yes. That was you'd have a chance to revisit specific parts after having listened to the whole interview, instead of the opposite. 🙂
Carmelo Anthony is another player that smiled while he was playing.
he smiled because he chose money over winning
But he was not winning.
