That Bonsai metaphor is incredible
That’s so funny, because my first thought was, this guy knows nothing about Bonsai lol I get his point tho lol
@user-ph2nh1nz2b Maybe he don't, but it worked
@@user-ph2nh1nz2b I guess it's a good metaphor for someone who just knows bonsai trees on a superficial level (which is most of the population) lol
also super applicable to many jobs/pursuits
I get that he has good perspective but that Draymond-Poole situation was hilariously mismanaged
Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure he had already left office by that time
Lmao I watched a couple minutes of the video and yes I am wrong😂
@@jowasijonope
hm was it really? poole was out as should be and dray still in as should be. What exactly was mismanaged? You forgetting that these players are adults that make their own decisions?
@@Ahilliard44Are you forgetting that Jordan Poole and draymond played a whole season after that incident? Do you not see how the situation being mismanaged can be a problem? 😅
That "can you handle that?" question is powerful stuff. Let me add that to the repertoire
One of the best episodes yet.
For the GM that guy knows how to keep his body healthy
Crazy sex all day
Former D-1 basketball player #UCLA
Good sleep helps, esp as we age. Probably slept well at night knowing he didn’t hide behind lies because he pushed the player to think if the player could handle the truth.
JJ is so slick with it. "I'm not a reporter, bro" 😂. Let them get comfortable first to get that info.
No.
The fans don’t care as long as the team is winning. It’s once the losing starts that every little “crisis” is suddenly put under the microscope.
The mismanagement of the Green/Poole situation occurred before the punch was ever thrown. There was tension in the locker room because several players were up for extension and there wouldn't be enough for multiple players to get their max contracts. And there was various reports on how Jordan Poole was was behaving and how a lot of the Warrior players were tired of his attitude. A coach should have been between Poole and Green as soon as they started yapping.
*allegedly
Jj thank you for doing these kinds of interviews and giving the average fan incredible insight to how things go at the highest level of basketball 🏀 ❤
As a business consultant to small businesses and entrepreneurs, this is such an interesting topic
Happy to see Cousin Greg has moved on to bigger and better things
Idk why but I just really don’t believe they didn’t find out who leaked the footage lol
1000% lol
There's really not THAT many people that would have access to the footage. It honestly saved them a bit with what ended up happening to Poole.
If TMZ was able to get their hands on the Ray Rice elevator footage, the Warriors could have figured out who leaked the practice footage.
@@MarkPerchatsch well just like the ray rice footage this footage was sold to tmz. So I guess you could say tmz leaked it but them not knowing who on staff handed over the footage for a payday.
The ray rice one is different because that was at a casino and the incident happened MONTHS before TMZ got ahold of it so god knows how many ppl saw those monitors.
Thanks jj for being "real"
As some that understand our faults
Salute to TMZ for not snitching on who leaked the video. That’s probably the one area they’re full of integrity in lol
I mean if they leaked info like that they’d stop getting good sources. Its not integrity for integrity’s sake, its just good business.
@@zoogie980 oh I’m fully aware of that fact, I forgot to put my air quotes around integrity lol. You’re right
I wish y’all would’ve spoken on the decision to move the team from Oakland
the warriors are from san fran
Obvious answer, money
@@PlayboiOck Philly, but okay
@@belijah6089 nope, sixers from philly, warriors from san fran before you were born, so they should play in san fran
@@PlayboiOck Wrong
The warriors never handled drymond from 2016 to present .the warriors made few mistakes during there run was legendary
JJ said he would want the truth from a GM about being traded . But I would say 38 year old JJ could handle the truth better than the 22 year old JJ
I’ve always said that people shouldn’t be asking questions if they don’t want an answer different than their own. That’s desiring validation, not a true question posed to another.
Not really in these situations. People have houses and families tied into these situations. I get not wanting to potentially mess up team chemistry over a potential trade thar didn't go through but usually the way these things pan out have the players looking stupid.
No wine?? 🍷
"all upside" is hilarious
insane that they’re still focusing on the leaking of the video and not the fact that a way smaller dude got assaulted by his teammate
Because it matters more, fights happen all the time (info from former players), but you leak that information it becomes a lot worst for everyone. Fans/Opponents taunting you, business opportunities, need for revenge, tons of stuff that will haunt you your whole life. A contained incident is far better for everyone, as long as it was settled properly.
🐈
@@DrakonKyriosthat is all true, however, it should still matter that it did actually happen in the first place
You don't know what Jordan Poole was like. The team backing Draymond means Poole was hated by the team and management after the big contract. Some people desereve to be punched!
@@DrakonKyrios that wasn’t even a fight. you do that anywhere else and you could get sued. it doesn’t “matter more” because if he doesn’t punch him LIKE THAT in the first place there’s nothing to be leaked
I think Larry Riley needs more credit tbh
are those mics Shure SM58s?
I'd say sm57s the 58 has a more metallic black tone usually
thanks I can't distinguish those two mics
“Are you going to trade me?” is an inaccurate analogy to “are you going to fire me?” You’re still getting a paycheck on the team they traded you to.
11:35 It was on Gilbert Arenas podcast idk why JJ didn’t wanna say it lol
Gilbert probably would have turned it into drama to be honest .
@@Jovaughnbey123 how if jj is agreeing with him. I think he just didn’t wanna shout him out
"Crisis management" Lmao
Bonsai wells
What is the Warriors "leaked tape"?
Draymond punching Poole during practice
First Love u JJ
Battle of the Toupee’s
Losing Poole was really a big hit in our offense, if that incident never happened we would’ve been so much better last year
Yup
Cmon the trades are always indefinite till they are definite. Players asking stupid questions. Every organization is trying to hustle for more benefits.
Being an NBA GM would be incredibly easy. You only have to find 10 guys and have no minor league to worry about. If you find 3 good players you are set. The amount of downtime in this job would be insane.
Come on JJ the front off leaked the tape haha
That was dlo for sure 😂😂
It was Tobias Harris
that player that asked was poole
I’d imagine as a player I’d wanna know if it’s on the table that I’d be traded. Like it is? Ok then I know.
Damn who is that player tho???
Get Sam Presti
does that mean the leakers still employed there?
He talking about klay trading them lol
Bro let Draymond knock out a. Teammate 😂
🫏🥊🌊
Bruh… 😂💀
Basically complaining that the general manager job, is a job. because every single job in the real world is like that.
He seems pretty normal here, but the amount of times I’ve seen him talking while hopped up on coke or addy is hilarious. People just pretend like everything’s normal and keep the interview going.😂
I cant even lie, kind of an underwhelming guest. It seems like everything just kinda took place and he just was in the right place at the right time.
He 🧢 about the video, they know exactly who it was lol might of even been him
Everyone who is talking about Draymond and assault aren’t hoopers. Stop being soft
This pods fallen off hard after the Lebron one, should just scrap this only do Lebron one IMO
You really think LBJ is available to do a podcast for more than a couple hours a month? He has to be busy asf. JJ can put out hours of content a week on his own show
@@zoogie980this dude had the worst idea mixed with no critical thinking lmao
