    Good point about Scott.. I'm running Lennon in the Martell at level 12. Yamamoto inspiring at 15 with Madden at 9.. 8.4 second reload.great range, very accurate, hard hitting citadel salvos.. Loving the Charles Martell.. highly recommend it to everyone!!!!

    Tbull, Ive switched out Norm Scott several times in my cruisers and haven't noticed any real difference when he is out. Especially with the American and French cruisers they are super accurate on their own and the German and Japanese do well without him too. So, I've moved on. My Scott is a level 11 tier 1 legendary captain. Thanks so much for all the great commentary and instruction.

    I'm of the same opinion about Scott as an inspiration. DDs and Cruisers does really seem to need the accuracy boost. I do like Yamaoto. Citadeling BBs is great and in my experience he helps quite a bit. I've never ran a pure concealment built. I may try it because overall I've become very frustrated with T6-7 Cruiser play. I *feel* like you work your butt off for what you could do with ease in a DD or BB. Sailing around wagging your arse trying not to get hit. Or finding a rock that fits your arc and hoping you don't get plane spotted. Basically perpetually running and hiding to take shots and hoping you don't get deleted even angled. I feel like cruisers are more dependent on team play than any other. No DD spotting? Screwed... No BB tanking and keeping other BB's honest? Screwed. Where as BB play if you angle well you could last quite a while against 2 other BBs across from you. Playing a DD? While a lot of people will still do stupid things, most will shoot at spotted ships and you can cap, and you can torp. I used to say the Mogami was my favorite ship, now, I rarely play cruisers at all. All that to say, thanks for the vids, the ideas, and the commentary I may try a stealth build. :D

      BB tanking? What's that? We all know BBs are edge of the map DPM machines xD
      And it only goes to show the effectiveness of that strategy when that BB is the only one left alive on the team. Obviously everyone else got themselves killed and this guy is just Skillz McGee sailing back there untouched Lmao

    All the people mentioning Chalemagne's handling. Just looking at stats, if you put the Slot 3 rudder mod on, Chalemagne has a rudder shift time slightly better than De Grasse with the exact same turning radius of 690m. And De Grasse is a fairly maneuverable ship.

    I tend to use Scott and Mikawa as inspirations (level 16 and 14, respectively). Though that's partly because I'm not higher than tier 4 on the other cruiser lines. Excellent predictive torps, too. 🤣🤣

    • @TbullGaming
      @TbullGaming  Před 4 lety +1

      Scott certainly doesn't hurt, but it's a percentage based increase in accuracy. If the accuracy is already very good, then the boost to accuracy is quite low

    First time I faced a Charlemagne I honestly thought it was a BB by the way it moved.
    Not used Scott as inspiration in a long time. I did at low tier but I didn't have anyone else. And low tier seemed to need him more, maybe. But if I had Scott at 16, I'd use him.

    I don't run Scott as inspiration for anyone...mainly because I don't have him yet...I have found Kinkaid to be useful in dodging fire in the Indy and Pensacola. I then run von Muller in the Konigsberg and Nurnberg, and Lemonnier in the Emile, de Grasse, and La Gallisoniere...they may not NEED the accuracy boost, but those tight shot groups are sure pretty to see...
    I enjoy the tier 4 and 5 cruisers a lot, but I've heard that they get, um...kablammered at tier 6 and 7. I enjoy the Indy, but my win rate is dreadful in it...I've seen tier 7 games with 4 DDs and 3 Iowas on each team, and no cruisers in sight except for my Indianapolis...meta up there is interesting...
    I get spotted in my Nagato usually about 10 to 12 seconds into the match, and often take a broadside hit halfway through my first turn...I wonder why tier 7 BBs start the game backing up? Hmm...oh, the spawn points are currently too close to each other...hopefully that gets fixed soon.
    I don't mind too much, since I mostly play tiers 4 and 5, but the tier 7 meta seems like something that should be watched...

    • @TbullGaming
      @TbullGaming  Před 4 lety

      The high tier ships themselves aren't any more susceptible to taking damage. The players at higher tiers in general do a better job of looking for broadside target though

      Don't be the first one they see. It's not any different on XB1. If they see you first, you're it. They just keep shooting at what they can see. Needless to say, don't scout as a cruiser. Also, it's finally sunk in that certain cruisers are a particular menace and if you get spotted in one (Marblehead, DeGrasse, Atlanta), they'll move heaven and earth to delete you. Interestingly enough, they'll usually ignore something like Graf Spee even after watching you smokecheck their division mates right in front of them. There really isn't an answer, other than running with friends in your own division. That removes at least one third of the potential sea monkeys on your team. I also suspect there's a secret consumable called "scuttling charges" that a large percentage of your fellow players like using in the first three minutes.

    Never liked T7, and now that everyone has maxed out Simms, I don't play it at all. T7 Q times seem to be getting longer, which is counter-intuitive as more players should have T7 ships by now. Also getting up-tiered more often, so I'm avoiding T6 as well.
