- I lived in East London where The Kray Twins, Ronnie Kray, Reggie Kray and their older brother Charlie Kray were raised. I attended the funerals of Reggie Kray and Charlie Kray.
Bethnal Green, Whitechapel, The Blind Beggar Pub where Ron Kray killed Richardson Gang member George Cornell.

Glorifying murderers is beyond my ability to comprehend. Especially strange coming from the very people these two terrorized.
Dave Courtney an associate of the Krays passed away a couple of weeks ago. He organised the massive security for Ronnie Krays funeral in 1995 and even slept by Ron’s body the night before the funeral as there were rumours someone was gonna break into the undertakers.
That was one of the things that prompted this. Left on his own terms. A fascinating group of friends.
Now that's dedication & loyalty to a boss!
B.s. nonsense
I've a lovely pic of Dave Courtney with my Older daughter at his house.RIP Dave
My God Scott. I’m English and have never seen through our press , Media and whatever. Man. You’re an American and you were really there. Thank you for sharing this. I. Think It will mean more to English people than others. But I hope other people see and appreciate this. Respect.
My Nan owned a pub in Bethnal Green back in the day and had a few interactions with the Krays. Love your videos!
What a great story. It's nice to know there are other people with the same fascinations as myself. All my friends look at me like I'm crazy anytime I mention people like the Krays or the Manson family etc.
Yes, we are an odd group.
God you are a wealth of knowledge. I hate the fact that I didn't get to take your tour before I became disabled. You my dear are a national treasure .
I saw the movie The Krays starring the Spandau Ballet singers some 33 years ago. I remember the flower cortage in the scene for Frances Krays' funeral. Thanks for sharing another great story from your life.🌞💫
Such a good film! I’ve seen it a lot. ❤
@@OrangeAppled9 I only saw it once. I found it depressing quite frankly but intriguing 😌
Tom Hardy was brilliant playing both twins in the movie "Legend". Incredible....
Quite a brilliant performance.
Awful film
Morrissey's "The Last Of The Famous International Playboys" is about hero worshipping The Kray twins. Great song.
Fascinating story about your time in London. If I had 18 months where I could not work or leave, I feel like I would have done the same thing as you. 😀
Wow. Fascinating. I’ve never heard about these guys. The east end funeral history is really interesting. You remind me of myself. I’m always up for the strange and absurd. Which of course is why I’m watching this.
Legend is a great fantastic movie about the Krays!
There is also a movie about them!
This was a great video!!! On a side note- I also lived in London in the 90’s. ( I’m a Yank too)….One day in Central London I was walking down the street & literally turned the corner & bumped into Barbara Windsor! ( she was short!) Someone shouted: ‘Alright Babs?!’ & we both turned & looked simultaneously to the voice saying hello ( cuz my name is also Babs) but of course they were talking to her!! I loved living in London! Like You, I somehow ended up in California! Thanks for your cool videos! I always love it when you drop new videos!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Just when I think you can't be any more interesting yourself Scott!!! Absolutely brilliant and love the channel. From a fellow Detroiter much love and success sir and thank you for all of the phenomenal content!
Scott I started studying the Krays about 8 years finding all I could about them off the you tube vlogs and other sources. They seemed to me to be very dangerous to me.I undetstsnd the fascination of people being interested in them. They led a very public life. During those times the 2 Richardson brothers had control of the Southern part of London. There was a lot of criminal activity during that time period.Like u I became very interested in them. Keep up the good work.
Dang it Scott, I've been watching your Manson stuff for yrs, I didn't know you were into the krays also. Your officially my favorite CZcamsr
Only you would end up in the funeral cortege in the back of the flower van and take the last photo of one of the Kray twins. Fascinating, and utterly absurd. Loved this video, thanks for taking us along while you stepped back in time.
Question: If you can’t leave and you can’t work, how are you supposed to pay rent and eat? I don’t understand how they expect people to pay their bills. Thanks, Scott! I love your videos! ❤️
We had to prove I could exist without going on any government welfare program.
I live in Spain on a non working visa. I had to have enough money to live and private health insurance.
@@NailHeavenAshford That's horrible. What a welcome but understandable.
Same in Australia, you need to prove you won’t claim assistance.
I was once friends with someone named Steve Wraith who was in constant contact with Reg before he passed also attended both those funerals you were at. He was one of those following the hearse on foot.
Also RIP Dame Barbara Windsor she will be missed.😊
Stunningly mind blowing, Scott your stories are better than movies. I cousin listen all day.
I read all about the Krays and their story is fascinating. I always remember the Monty Python skit the Piranha brothers was a send up.
Scott, you never fail to surprise and make me chuckle, even after following you for years! You always have another little tidbit to share that I didn't know, or missed in an earlier telling. This tickled me to death about going where no one else would go to track a good story down! Please never stop doing what you do best, ❤❤
(EXCUSE MY USE OF CAPS, LEGALLY BLIND IN ONE EYE AND POOR VISION IN THE OTHER)
THANK YOU FOR SHARING, SCOTT……TO BE SO CLOSE TO THE KRAYS, I WAS SCARED FOR YOU,BUT RELIEVED THAT YOU WERE OKAY. LOVED THE PICS YOU TOOK TELLING THE STORY FROM YOUR POINT OF VIEW.
Wonderful video Scott. Being a long time fan of the channel it’s strange to hear you mention the Isle of Wight. I live literally 5 mins away from Parkhurst Prison. I think all the Kray brothers were imprisoned there at one time or another, along with some other infamous UK criminals including the serial killer Peter Sutcliffe. It was considered the UK’s toughest maximum security prison until 3 inmates escaped in 1995.
I live in Camberwell, south east London, just around the corner from where the Richardsons had there base,Charlie lived there,a past girlfriend of mine was Frankie Frasers, niece, not sure if you know that,he was called mad Frankie, not because he was a violent thug & torturer, but because, to get out of fighting in the 2nd WW,he pretended he was mad,he then robbed houses during the black outs & bombings,a very nasty individual,I met him a few times, warned me to treat he’s niece with respect,or else,a nasty little man.I love all your vids, thank you.
I've been a BIG Kray history follower myself for many, many years. If I got a note from Reg wanting to get in touch with me though I'd start to wonder what I'd gotten myself into...😮
Scott you are a wild one! Amazing stories. TY
Oh wow, I knew you lived in England from the time you told the story about meeting Peter Mayhew, you got called over from the edge of the stage at an inopportune moment, hilarious story.
But I'd never have imagined that you had a connection to the Kray's, that is just too wild.
Thank you for sharing East End history and what you experienced while living there.
Scott, you crack me up! I have an intermittent fascination/obsession with Reg and Ron too, probably stemming from my 50-year devotion to Monty Python, and their hilarious Doug and Dinsdale Piranha sketch. Lovelovelove Tom Hardy in "Legend." What brilliant performances he turned in. Been indulging my Kray habit for the past day or two. Great to see you!
Hi Scott, So I subscribe to 4 channels in this category i.e. true crime, location visits, story time. I enjoy all of them but your knowledge/presentation is by far the best. I guess that's why out of 4 vacations we took to So Cal. 3 times we took your tours.🤝👏
Scott, very fascinating episode and appreciated your comments on LEGEND...I found it very entertaining and glad it was accurate. I had to try lemon sherbert after I saw it (I love the candy and the film).
I thought it was fantastic.
Q. Do you know the Beatles? The Grays: No, but I believe they know us.
Very interesting story! I have never heard of the Kray Twins. You are very brave to attend that party and stay in touch with the Reggie Kray! Thank you for sharing this story!
Fun to see the photos from the Death Hag meeting, that was a good day. And jeez Scott, couldn’t you have asked Barbara Windsor what June Brown was like or something instead? 😂
Good one Scott!
Hi Scott, I've been a follower of Findadeath since the early days and one of the greatest things about it, especially when you were writing the biographies yourself, is that some of our British sense of humour has clearly rubbed off on you from your stay over here. Your American flair laced with a touch of British dryness made the perfect combination for your reviews of those that had gone before us, especially the ones you didn't particularly care for.
I still like to keep up with the latest demises via the website but since your CZcams presence began I have been a subscriber to Dearly Departed Tours.
Thank you and all the very best.
Thank you for the high complement! Thank you as well for continuing to watch. I appreciate it.
Enjoyed this story very much! Thanks Scott ♥
I first learned about the Kray's when I bought the 1990 "Kray's" motion picture on VHS in 2014. Good movie!
This was a very interesting time in your life it seems. Thank you for sharing this story with us. I have watched some documentaries on the Kray twins.
You also mentioned the Carry on Movies, when VCRs first came out we lived in Scandinavia. We would rent 2 Carry on movies and have movie nights at our house. We loved them, watching the movies these day is different but brings back good memories of a time gone by.😊
Love this Scott thank you. I am staying in Whitechapel/Brick Lane in early December for the weekend. I visit the east end often, I love it. I shall have a pint in the Carpenters Arms for you. Do you want me to pick anything up for you while I'm there? For old time's sake?
The song by Morrissey/ the Smith's.. the last of the famous international Playboys was written about the Kray brothers.. I love that song.
The Krays, The 1990 British biographical crime drama film directed by Peter Medak starring Gary Kemp and Martin Kemp is worth a watch and I would say superior to Legend (2015 film).
Fascinating, Scott! Never heard of these gents & was happy to get immersed in your story. They put me in mind of a much more elegant rendition of John Gotti & the baffling love he got from the local people in my native Queens. Greetings from Greenwich Village & I appreciate this vibe-y tale! ✌️♥️
You should watch the movie Legend. I can't speak to it's accuracy but Tom Hardy plays both Ronnie and Reggie and it was nothing short of spectacular.
@@tjo1976Thanks so much! I will absolutely check it out. I have some context for it now. 👍♥️
It's a good movie. Very good.
Amazing, Scott! I have read about these guys for years. What a great look back in time.
You mentioned Tex Watson. Do you think he ever watches your channel?? Your very lucky to see all those things in England..thanks for sharing
Another great example of a your wonder life. Thanks for sharing this very interesting story. Our best to Troy. Happy Thanksgiving to you two.
You both as well x

Wow what a fascinating story, thank you for sharing this Scott.
As usual this was so good. Very informative and interesting. Thanks for sharing
This is so interesting. This is the first I heard of the Krays but I'm about to go down the rabbit hole.
Really enjoyed this video as always really interesting remember them being on the news a lot here in the UK
Outstanding video, footage and photos used for content, just awesome 👌. Great video Scott.
Last of the hard men. Great episode. Thank you for your insight.
I have never heard of the twins but I will definitely check them out. Thanks for another great video Scott!
This was one of my favorite VLOGS Scott. It was extremely interesting. Thanks as always.
Brilliant Scott, thanks for sharing these memories,
Wow I live in Shoreditch London and would love to have been at that funeral, fantastic pictures and thanks for sharing your story.
You have lived such an interest life so far. I hope keep this up for many more years . And please let us come along the same way . The things you talk about is the most interesting on this platform keep it up please.
Thank u for this video Scott.I was interested in the Krays as well.😊Since I seen the movie, very interesting.
Wow, you have lived an amazing life! So adventuous! Great video, thank you.
Hey Scott! You are so interesting and full of surprises. I love your stories thanks🥰
We had a shop two doors away from the marquis of Cornwallis pub in bethnal green road. We closed our shop on the day of the funeral, but forgot to lock the door and out of the blue a tall man opened the door and introduced himself as Mad Frankie Frazer you could have knocked me down with a feather he had arranged the wake in the pub and was as he said "just passing" I remember that day vividly like it was yesterday.
The Kray twins and family are buried in Chingford mount cemetery where my parents and aunt and grandparents are buried.
I have no idea how they were allowed to be buried in Chingford as neither Ronnie or Reggie lived in the London borough of Waltham forest, but I have a feeling why they were though.
Really interesting story Scott. Now I'm gonna go watch Legend.
❤😊HANDS DOWN🎉YOU ARE THE BEST SCOTT😊❤THANKS FOR ANOTHE FANTASTIC VIDEO, NOBODY DOES IT LIKE YOU❤
Scott You have the most informational videos, I really appreciate all your effort, this might be one of my favorites!! Thanks!
Wow! What an interesting story and video this was. I really liked the movie Legend and this was great to hear of your own personal experience with the Krays. Thank you for sharing your story with us
So cool you were in the cortège and had access the flowers and rode on the florist vehicle to the cemetery.
I *thoroughly* enjoyed this photo presentation and the gifted fashion of your storytelling. 💗 In fact for a brief time I was able to somewhat forget my depression and outrageous pain that almost makes me want to stab by eye. Will be streaming Legend after binging on your vids. Incidentally, I always watch all the boring commercials and hope that helps support your brilliant work.
I walked past the blind beggar this morning as I do most day's. I live in Cambridge Heath Road, a road you will know well Scott from your time here.
Indeed!
Wonderful story on the Kray twins. Very interesting story. You’re absolutely a great story teller, Scott. How’s Troy? Keep up the good work. My love to you, both.😀❤️
Of course I have never heard of them before, but your way of telling their story is so interesting, intriguing... fascinating!
👍👍
Of all the channels i watch you are by far the best....well spoken and explained...
Thanks
Great story. I’ve been a fan since the dark ages of findadeath, and it will go down as one of my all time favorites of internet yore.
I’m sure I’m not alone when I say it would be amazing to hear any other stories you are comfortable sharing about your years in UK living with a very famous talk show host. As an Anglophile who has always wished I could manage to live there, even for awhile, I can imagine how cool a lot of that must have been.
You always have great content, thanks.
This is awesome! I love info you have provided. Thanks for sharing. We are down in Chingford next weekend, planning to visit their place of resting.
I'm behind in seeing most of them, but you have some unbelievable interesting videos! I can't remember hearing about the Kray Brothers, but this has definitely peaked my interest. Thanks.
Excellent video! I never heard of these men before. Your story had me enthralled!!
Just Google London gangsters!! But also keep an open mind..
I can't believe you were able to take those pics, but what a memory to have of being able to attend. Beautiful funeral!
I just discovered your channel (s) a few days ago.. I’m addicted !!! You are as fascinating as your content!! I have a lot to catch up on!!! Thank you for your hard work!! You are now my favorite CZcams creator!! THANK YOU!! ✌🏼❤️ TB👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Wow my friend worked at that branch of Evan Evans Tours at that same time you were trying to organise those tours. Small world. You may even have liaised with him then. Great video.
Oh how funny
Fascinating story Scott
Very interesting! You've got some impressive artefacts there; both from London and in your museum.
(I moved to London (east) in 2001, so I just missed all that period. Although some strange synchronicities: my university interview was on Sept 12th, 2001 -- the day after the Twin Towers fell [paranoid train journey], and I ended up moving to the East End exactly 1 year to the day after Reggie's funeral. I recently found out Reggie died in the pub at the end of my current road! (Yes, that same hotel/pub/restaurant near the river.)
Scott...this was so cool to watch. Would you do more stories from England? The crazy life of Mary Millington, or something about Charles Bronson....? Love this channel. From Death Hag Rindy.❤
I have seen TBE movie twice & loved it, in fact enjoyed the second time more. They were two crazy guys.
fascinating! thanks!
Nice to watch. It got me more familiar with, other parts of London.
wow so cool i like history i did not know about this ty for video i lear something new today
You definitely haven't had a dull life, that's for sure!
❤ AMAZING!
I love your channel, and I find you very soothing, interesting, and smart. HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and your partner/husband. God bless
Thank you! You too!
So glad to discover your channel 🏆 I'd seriously be considering the origin of bumps in the night with the Kray memorabilia 👀
You live a Fascinating life Scott
I have two friends over in the uk. One lives in london and the other is obbessed with any mob stuff. I forwarded it to them. Your one lucky Guy Michael. I watched a documentary on the bros
Scott is just such an amazing guy! He just pulled all that out of his back pocket, Scott is one of a kind.
Thanks Scott
