- This is where the murder of Sharon Tate and her unborn child took place and her companions Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, and Wojciech Frykowski, along with Steven Parent.
It happened on August 9th, 1969.

Do you live in LA and is it really that hilly all over? I live in NC so I wouldn't know, lol. Thanks for the upload! I started researching this case around the 50th anniversary and it continues to fascinate me. RIP to all of the victims.
Yes, I was born here, and it is hilly all over LA, There is a mountain near LA that go up to 10,000 feet. but there are also very flat places.
The road/driveway was very, very narrow at the time of the murders. Seriously, one car could barely fit. I don't know how a moving truck could have made it up the hill. It was widened in the 1980s. Tanya Roberts (one of Charlie's Angels) owned one of the white houses that the cyclist rode past. Coincidentally, Tanya Robert's sister, actress Barbara (Chase) Lewis visited Sharon on August 8, 1969 and had lunch with Sharon and Joanna Pettet on the lawn. Before she died I asked Tanya about this. She confirmed her sister knew Sharon but she didn't have any information regarding the lunch. Tanya and her sister were not that close.
I kept my distance when I came up to the house.

From the main part of Cielo where the killers parked up to Sharon's gate about how many yards is it Two Football 🏈 fields looks like a long stretch there with no houses at all until you hit houses????

Why keep your distance? There's a gate there. Everyone goes up to it. The actual house and gate are long gone, replaced by a super-gaudy palatial estate.

how fast were you going on that last downhill part because it sure looked fast.

Well the house she was murdered in was destroyed and a new house was built instead. And also the house is private property.

You could have gone up to the gate, however you wouldn't have recognized much beyond it unless you knew the layout of the old property.

@@topfitnessssss Hey thank you for your comment, maybe I'll go back on day, and stand by the gate a little bit more, I think at the time I was thinking about respecting the privacy of the person who lives there.
@@BikeLA23 You know like me that it is public space until passed the gate and certainly nobody really is watching the outside of that gate. But dont you worry man, there's really nothing to be seen there anyway, they ruined what was a magnificent French stylish property .. I.d.i.o.t.s.
The home that sits where the murder house was is supposedly worth around 50 million dollars. It's behind the gates at the very end of the street. But it is not a very impressive approach to the home - looks more like a back ally with all those trash bins and cars parked everywhere. When the home was built, that long, narrow drive went to just that one house. Later owners sold off parts of the hillside over time and now they have too many homes on that narrow street.
Feel sorry for people who live near the former property and that idiot David Oman. With his tales of ghost hauntings. Must be hard for the neighbours.

Great tour on the private part of Cielo where Sharon lived there are 5 houses now there was only 2 in 1969 they were really isolated up there poor Sharon was not expecting nut jobs to go up there and kill her??!!!

Why didn't you start the ride at the beginning where Cielo
hairpins into the narrow 'private' road? The killers drove up to the power pole in front of 10050 (no longer where it used to be), cut the wires, drove back down, parked just to the left of where you went to the right, and walked back up to start the rampage. Would have been more accurate that way.
Hi thank you for your comment. I don't usually upload videos of me going up hill since I don't know if you want to here me breathing really hard. But I think that is a great idea and I will definitely consider it if I go back there. I always want to be as historically accurate as possible. Maybe I'll add some scary music. Thank you for your idea.

There were three other houses on that narrow road in 1969. Two of them were right before the old gate at 10050 (murder house).
Negative only two and there has been a house built in between them since and two others east of them built since 1969!!!!

Negative to you! There were three. Two right before 10050 and one back down closer to the bottom. The crime scene photos you look at don't show the third one. You need an aerial plat to see it. There were TWO built next to the original two by 10050 not one. One of those belongs to David Oman, the kook who claims that ghosts haunt that area. He gives a party there every August 8. Shameless! One or two more have sprung up since.

Two houses, not one, were built next to the original two mentioned above, not one. David Oman, the Hollywood type that claims ghosts of the victims haunt that section, lives in one of them. He has parties every August 8th there. Shameless!

@@richardsimons6978 maybe your right maybe they don't include the one further down the hill but even Sharon Tate's sister said in her book Restless Souls there were only 2 other houses on the private part of Cielo Drive where Sharon lived???
Forrest Hagerty's You Tube Manson tour said there were only 2 also and points them out???
