This week, Jack, Ethan and Edwin find out if our super cheap Porsche can finally go on the road, or if it has more project car problems. We'll button up all the last restoration pieces, before taking it for a UK inspection (MOT). Then, we'll take it for its first drive in over 25 years to see if all the effort was worth it.

Oh man so sad to see Edwin go. You three had the best chemistry. I hope maybe Kyle(Carl? Sorry English isn't my first language) gets a bit more screen time then. Bloke seems to know everything about cars.
I absolutely love the Edwins dedication to nice wheels and cleaning. Two of the most important things to make a regular car look properly nice.

@@Battlehammer333 Alex was begging Ethan to come over to his channel back when he left but he is really loyal to car throttle as its an actual monthly paid contract job and has safety for his family etc and not just relying on views to get paid, wish it will happen though as this trio is really nice,

Can't believe Edwin is leaving, that's heartbreaking. The chemistry between you three over this Porsche build has been Top Gear-levels of funny and heartwarming.

This Porsche build is awesome, an absolute money pit but at least you have fun along the way whilst working on it. There is nothing better than working on cars with your friends.
You know the budget’s gone when you’re replace the endlink boot and not the full thing.
its just a slightly amplified version of what its like working on older cars, love it. I had a 1970 450hp Ford XW wagon for years, and even the smallest things took SO long to fix.... discover how it was supposed to work, the design, the problem, the spare parts/modding them to fit etc. A balance of being enjoyable and traumatic, but still cant look back on it as anything but enjoyable in retrospect!!
It’s a huge shame that Edwin is leaving you boys, but you will carry on smashing it for sure.
I suspect starting his own channel. He sites on his Instagram that he has no ownership, direction or budget control of Car Throttle and says you'll see him on CZcams soon.

It's not intended as a criticism of the other lads but Edwin is a massive loss to CT.
After watching the end it definitely feels like the end of an era. Edwin has been absolutely amazing since he came into the fold and he'll definitely be missed. All the best Edwin and lads, keep smashing it 👍

Nah I'm actually sad Edwin is leaving he was a massive upgrade over Alex when he left. There's a good likeable chemistry between the 3 like the Top Gear trio, Hopefully they return in some way or another maybe on a new channel.

Edwin is like the glue I didn't know Jack and Ethan were missing. I've really enjoyed everything he's been featured in and im worried his departure will upset the balance.

I am fully invested in this build, I don't care how long it takes but I'd love to see it in restored condition, heck even a restomod wouldn't be something I'd have an issue with. I love to see it guys! :)
If you only knew the value I give this car you would flip out , it brings back such visceral graphic images and memories I am in shock practically, to you guys its just content but to some its a chunk of heaven , where my soul longs to hang out in.
This is my absolute favourite series.

Brilliant!!! Great to see the old girl a wee pinch away from the open roads. Probably for reliability disassembling the K-jetronic and going through the fuel system will help make it run better but otherwise, YIPPIE!!!!!!
My dad had a 924 in the late 80s. He described his ownership experience as being similar to yours. Broken often, and once it was fixed it was only a matter of time until something else went wrong. It spent 1 of the 2 years he owned it in the garage/shop

Edwin provided the perfect balance on this show. Whoever is ‘calling the shots’ at Car Throttle needs to have a look at themselves. The actual comedic balance of these three put them in the original Top Gear category. I can’t see how this channel will survive with the departure of Edwin.

Wow, this was such a trip. Who's going to convince me now that cars don't have souls? This poor thing DID NOT want to be fixed, yet you guys insisted time after time until it finally gave up and ran beautifully. Really enjoyed this series.

I have an 86 scirocco. One of the first things you change are all the rubber bushings and hoses. Will save alot of trouble in the end
