    For the moment the Middle Things Companion plugin will only show up in companion v2.2 beta, so you need to go to the beta builds sections in the Companion download page.

    Any chance of working out a battery option for the Blackmagic Studio camera 4k Pro? Thanks in advance...

    looks really interesting. two thoughts:
    it would be cool if middle things would also provide companion feedback options. for example changing the button color if the camera is selected in the middle things software. might be more helpful than program tally here.
    and another super awesome feature would be to provide camera control variables via middle things companion (e.g. a variable to show the current iris f stop or iso value). through that a could become a very compact and cheap ccu.
    having such information displayed on buttons would help using companion without looking at the software.
    keep up the good work!

      variables and feedback could also be useful for gimbal values (e.g. a variable to show the current pan/tilt speed or color change feedback when a preset is active).

    What is the maximum number of presents you can store in the software per camera?

    I wonder, how precise is it? I do a lot of PTZ operations, and one thing is extremely important: the recall position has to be exact every time. Especially working with a very zoomed in shot; a small deviation of the recall position and the frame is not correct anymore. What can you say on this? Is there a video out there with some real world footage?

    This is so awesome! Can you only save position presets with the ronin RS2? or can the can the Ronin SC work as well?

    Wow, this is really great! Is it possible to control the camera presets through midi? I use Ableton Live 11 on a Mac Mini to automate the switching of 3 Black Magic Pocket Cinema 4k cameras through an Atem Mini Extreme. I read in one of the comments that you will release Mac version of the Middlethings software. Would it be possible to communicate the camera preset switching from Ableton Live to the Middlethings application?

      Hello Justin,
      We don't support Midi , but you can control Middle Control using UDP commands , more info here : www.middlethings.co/api

    Would it be possible to record a pan/zoom and then play it like a preset...my idea is for a specific action shot...you could record a slow pan while zooming out for like filming a choir singing , then every time you want that action shot you can just call the preset which is a recorded pan and zoom action.

    • @MiddleThings
      @MiddleThings  Před 2 lety

      Yes that is totally possible with companion. You can either trigger a preset with a very slow transition speed, or send a custom Z14 command which will tell it to zoom out at a speed of 14 out of 2048

    Ok, maybe I'm Stupid, but you can't control your build in Nds of the Bmpcc 6k pro over the software, right?

    Is it possible to display feedback from the camera (like iris, gain, colortemp)?

    • @MiddleThings
      @MiddleThings  Před 7 měsíci

      Yes, well you can read the values that are in the ATEM ( which are continuously pushed to the camera )

      you will be able to control directions and zoom, if you use a motor zoom from DJI. But you won't be able to control the camera itself (like color grading, iso, aperture etc...). It only works with BMD cameras

    Is it possible to save the pan/tilt/zoom/focus and iris settings in one preset?

    • @MiddleThings
      @MiddleThings  Před 2 lety

      Yes exactly, it saves everything in the one preset. But for focus you need the BMPCC 4K and an MFT lens.

      @@MiddleThings and with the bmd studio 4k pro + dji rs2 pro + focus motor. Is it possible to save the focus?

    • @MiddleThings
      @MiddleThings  Před 2 lety

      @@visualline6320 Yes, you can do that . Please note that the focus motor will only control the zoom of the lens. We control the focus of the lens using the Blackmagic camera by talking to the ATEM
