With the Middle Control Software, bring your live camera control experience to a whole new level. Using precise and low latency axis and button mapping, you can control your camera AND your gimbal, all in one place : your gamepad controller.
To use the Middle Control Software, you install it on a PC that you connect to your ATEM router using WiFi or Ethernet. Then you set the ATEM IP address in our app, press connect, and you're done! You can now adjust settings of regular SDI Blackmagic cameras as well as Pocket cameras & DJI gimbals if you use the APC.

Can you go more in depth about about the zoom and focus with this system? I'm trying to set this up for sports broadcasting and I want to have zoom and focus control on the joystick.
Neat but it is not PTZ without zoom control.
Currently I can already pair any ps4 or Xbox one controller to a dji gimbal, enabling use of the thumb sticks to control my gimbal. Is there an additional benefit to using this new work flow? (Only trying to compare your joystick 🕹 feature to existing dji features)

You can't use that in a live streaming environment. It's not reliable enough.

I wonder if I could use there of four camera with the Ronin S to work as PTZs? Would it be risky to have the system break down in the middle of a live broadcast?
I know this is intended to control Blackmagic cameras, but if the gimbal can control, say a Sony camera (RS3 + Sony A7C for example), could you use the software to control the gimbal parameters that control the camera? For example, software tells gimbal to tell camera to change ISO?
I'm also curious if this would work a Sony Camera.
Would you be able to record angles presets like on PTZ ?cameras and PTZ controller ( to recall a close up shot on a person, then go to a wide shot quickly and so on )
If you're using the new ATEM Mini Extreme or ATEM Mini Extreme ISO with this, then yes. If you go watch BlackMagic's release video for it they go over how you can set multiple preview panels with the same camera view. So with the new BMPCC6k Pro (for example). You could have that as Camera 1 and have a wide shot running in program, as well as a 50% punched in (to keep 4k across the board, you could punch in further though obviously if all you need is 1080p delivery) closer shot in a preview panel.

Hey Jacob ! Check out the APC-R on our website, does exactly this. Also, you can wirelessly control cameras using the ATEM software using the APC-R.

Not possible to save position presets at this stage, but you can chose different ronin heads with the streamdeck or the joystick yes !

Do people use gimbals just sitting on desks often? Just genuinely curious about the use cases.
This is a nice use case for churches so you don’t have to have a bunch of manned cameras. And it’s considerably less cost than getting other remote rigs

Yes definitely, check out the APC-R . You can control pan/tilt/focus/zoom of any lens with the RS2
@@MiddleThings where do I find that? Sorry! I was out in the field with a $1000 tripod /fluid head with 100-400 gmaster lens and just kept getting bad footage when panning no matter how slow/steady i thought i was moving.
