- PLAJ’s Luke Grant breaks down the explosive Malik Nabers tape.
Could he be the difference maker that pushes the Jets offense over the edge?
#newyorkjets #MalikNabers - Zábava
When I project Nabers into the NFL, I think GW is still your WR #1 because he's so quick out of the break that with any genuine threat opposite him, he'll get separation. Nabers is my pick over MHJ because of his ability to stretch the field: he'll gain yards on his own, and he'll open up lots of space for Breece.
Electric ⚡️
Malik Nabers is so good. Great coverage as to what makes him special but I will add, he is the first prospect I've seen where each person breaking him down picks entirely different clips... He literally has too many highlights for any one person to break down. Superstar.
💯 agree
So you’re telling me there’s a chance 👀
I think the trend is towards Left Tackle, but it's not impossible for Nabers to be the guy.
TRADE UP IM ALL IN
If he gets to 8 for some reason I would trade up to snag him or Harrison. I’m big on both. Imagine either one with Wilson, Williams, and Hall.
Exactly my thoughts right now
IF we were to trade up, it would be for this dude or Joe Alt (in my opinion); Nabers is nasty and his separation is what makes him special he Always has space around him.
I just don’t want to give up too much, but I completely agree
Even if we pick a Kicker we're still Kicking everyone's ASS!!!!
😂🤝🏼
No, we should be trading back to make up a few picks we lost and then draft a tackle or best oline, my opinion is JC Latham.
Planning on getting the 4th/5th best OT, to back up and be an emergency starter in 2024 is a tough decision imo.
@@PlayLikeAJet Latham is gonna manhandle NFL players, hes top 3 for sure. dudes a 340lb tackle with the build of a LB
5:23 the corner stops for no reason there when the two of them meet up. I cant figure out why he did that. He did such a good job not biting on the fake, runs parallel to malik, then you see him legitimately stop. Kinda looks like the DB did actually do a bad job to me there despite initially doing really good
It’s like it was a delayed reaction. He was trying not to bite and then just felt like he had to. Tough to know
The free safety was clearly supposed to cheat to that side of the field. The corner stops/slows down like he is expecting a fade stop on that double move. Didn't watch the game but you can see it's at least 15 yards for a first down and the field corner at the bottom of the screen is playing a massive cushion and has that deep third of the field with multiple defenders in the flat.
@johnzabroski5396 that doesn't fit here. Based on where they are, there's no way he should've expected a safety to be even further downfield than they already were. He stays with him.until well.past the point of expecting s help. Keeps him on the boundary too.
Hey Luke Yeah I’m up for one of the big 3 receivers. If we lost out after being mathematically eliminated we would be in position for Marvin Harrison
I was praying that we lost as well John. Culture wins with Trevor aren’t for me 😂
Is there a way we can go back in Time and stop Braden Mann from Making that punt return tackle against the Rams? Lmao
I don't think there's much doubt that if any of the top 3 WRs were available, that the Jets would take one. It's interesting to think who is the best fit between Odunze and Nabers. On one hand, teams like the Dolphins had no problem utilizing two very similar receivers in Hill/Waddle. But you also see the advantage in two players that win in somewhat different ways like Chase and Higgins. I think just the overall dynamic and versatile type of game Nabers has makes him the clear choice. But it's an interesting thought experiment.
Personally I like Nabers much better and I think he and Wilson would work together extremely well, then you have Williams as the big body contested guy
@@PlayLikeAJet I agree although I do like Odunze quite a bit. I guess if the decision was MHJ or Nabers it'd be a little more divisive. The large target that can win contested catches but also win deep vs the guy that can take it to the house from anywhere and can line up anywhere.
The dolphins have created the new formula with waddle and hill and the lions with how they used LaPorta last year as a rookie. The Nfl is changing
Will have to trade up to get him
If it’s that 8 range, I’m okay with that
I wanna trade up for Alt, Nabers or stay at 10 for Bowers.
Like any other top predicted player in the draft, you don't know what you've got till they step on the field with fulltime professional NFL players who are every bit as good as they are... then and only then will you really know what you've got.
For sure but there is a reason this process exists
@@PlayLikeAJet I hear what you're saying, but for example... does Nabers just twist out and break away from a top NFL defender like he does to this college player at 2:00 ? I suppose if he does he's special, but like with every prospect the odds are against it.
You have to be the most negative jet fan on the planet
@@Njbear7453 BillySBC usually talks sense, and anyway, if we're even talking "Nabers -- pro or con", that's incredibly optimistic. If he's available at 10 you take him in a heartbeat, even knowing, as BillySBC said, that good college film doesn't always translate into good pro-play. That's just a given.
I know I shouldn’t think like this but as much as it pains me, I’d give back that patriot’s win for a shot at getting Naber’s. He’s gonna be something. Jets don’t know how to tank. There, I said my negative thought for the day
I don’t think they take him at 3. We should be okay there
I still say Bowers----2 TE set with Bowers drawing a safety will give Wilson the deep ball threat and NO over cover 2! Perfect offense if Rogers can adjust to using TE
Oh I love bowers. Don’t have to convince me
Garrett Wilson is not a deep threat. He has had two years to prove he is one and he is not. He is a mid zone killer and man killer.
The only reason I'd put Bowers under the top 3 WR is that TE's have a higher bust rate, and probably the longest learning curve of any position. Dalton Kincaid is an outlier: Bowers would contribute no doubt, but he wouldn't have that year one bang! that we're all hoping for.
Still if we pick Bowers it's not like I"m going to be disappointed.
@@jessejordache1869 you don’t know that he wouldn’t have that “year 1 bang”; the reality is we don’t know anything and everyone is speculating
@@Njbear7453 We live in a world of probabilities. Embrace it.
We don't KNOW that the greatest picks aren't all in the seventh round. But what do you think is more likely?
I’m being so serious when I say I think Malik nabers is better and will be better than mhj he’s going to be a top 5-10 route runner in the league immediately and I believe will be a superstar immediately think he’s going to be the better player in the nfl. Could definitely be wrong tho
I’ve definitely had similar thoughts. I love both he and MHJ
Nabers is the best receiver in this draft
Trading up seems like a bad idea. The difference between nabers and odunze is not worth our 3rd or a 2nd next year. It’s a deep wr draft. More picks is more better.
Difference is quite large imo
Trade up for MHJ best case scenario
Would be incredible but I don’t see him getting past 5, that’s too much to give up
You’d take him over Rome?
100%
@@PlayLikeAJet What do you think of Pearsall? Obviously not in the first round though.
If he’s there at 8 you trade up for him with Atlanta
That’s the spot I keep looking at
Dream on…….but it ain’t gonna happen.
I mean, last couple of big analyst mocks have him sliding to #9 or lower
