      @@goobi7071 this is the deepest WR class in since 2014, I don't want to waste the 6th overrall pick on a skill position when we're fall from competing.
      11 of the 32 teams in thr NFL #1 WR was drafted in the first round, only 4 of them are pro bowlers/all-pros. And there's only 4 franchise QBs in the NFL drafted out of the first round, Cowboys, Eagles, Niners and Vikings (Cousins' years) rosters are stacked which is the main reason why it's working.
      I'd rather go with the approach that's more successful and that's drafting a QB in the first round and finish great skill position players in the later rounds.

    MHJ has the highest floor of any WR I can remember coming out. He has been a pro at OSU for a few seasons now.
    But his ceiling is high not necessarily through the roof.
    He’ll be a top 20 WR I dnt know about more than that. I need him to prove some things to buy in.
    He’s not the most likely to have that Ja’Marr Chase like rookie breakout season. That takes route winning, tackle breaking, and break away speed consistently and simultaneously.
    MHJ is going get open catch the ball and get tackled. He’ll have seasons like CeeDee Lamb and Tee Higgins.
    Awesome but the way talk about the guy is like we expect him to be T.O. or Calvin Johnson or Julio and we saw those guy beat Hall of Fame DBs in college and in the pros before we hyped them up.

    • @Type1Matt
      @Type1Matt Před 5 měsíci +1

      MHJs ceiling is plenty high and definitely higher than top 20 wr my man. The numbers, the metrics and the tape all speak for themselves and should be all the “proving to you” he needs to do to establish his ceiling

    • @Fearlessleadr7
      @Fearlessleadr7 Před 5 měsíci

      @@Type1Matt he put up numbers against UGA and Michigan. But he looked like Julio and Calvin and Ja’Marr against Indiana and Toledo and Rutgers and Purdue and Maryland… I’m just not not gonna buy that and say his tape speaks for itself. His tape is cheap. Julio Jones was dominating peak SEC defenses. Many of the players Ja’Marr Chase beat on his tape were 1st and 2nd round CBs and those guys start for NFL teams.
      Where is the Patrick Peterson on Marv’s tape?
      Where’s the Joe Haden? Where’s the AJ Terrell? Olave and Wilson had to battle him.
      Where’s the Trevon Diggs? The CJ Henderson, the Noah Igbonognie, the Patrick Surtain?
      It’s cool if Marv is about as productive as a Tee Higgins. Or a Chris Olave or a Garrett Wilson.

    Nabers will be elite... if he moves past natural talent and tightens up his techniques on routes. He's as gifted as they come, but can he exchange those gifts for hard work on technique? If he can, yr 3 will be his breakout. PS MHJ isn't a generational talent, he's good, but he doesn't scare defenders as he's hit his ceiling. He isn't gonna get any better technique wise, it's already elite, as it should be with his pop teaching him. So all that's left is raw talent, which, given every college team having no issue playing press on him with DBs who'll not make NFL rosters, we've seen what we'll see from him, good, but not elite.
