I lost it when Chad was crying over how good the routes were 😂
I’m sayinggggggg
Think it was over davante routes lol
you wouldn’t understand mr non athlete
@@lasorlm_wtf is your problem
@@lasorlm_ and I’m glad I don’t 💯😂
Josh McDaniels should not be allowed to speak over Davante Adams tape
Straight up
Man Antonio Brown was near unstoppable in his prime
Yes he certainly was but if for the off the field issues he would be a first ballot Hall Of Famer but i don't believe that's the case here
Too bad the CTE got to him
Near??? AB was unstoppable. Only receiver close to him in his prime was Julio Jones
Davante Adams is the best route runner currently in the league. His ability to juke is a thing of beauty.
Facts
Davante #1 Kupp #2
And being wasted by the trash can that is the raiders qb room 😢
Hunter renfrow
Keenan Allen
Harbaugh saying it would be real nice if he would catch the ball is too funny 😂
Bro he been seething😭😭
You know he's been through a lot. Thank God for Zay😅
Chad's one tear Rolling down his face has me dying😂😂😂
An underrated route runner is Stevie Johnson. He was ahead of his time. If you look back at his tape he was doing things that all the top wideouts from today are doing
Keenan Allen gives Stevie Johnson a lot of credit for helping him develop as a route runner when Stevie came to the Chargers for a bit
6:56 hits different after those 7 drops against the Steelers in Week 5.
Probably why he said it 😂
I was thinkin 😭😭😭😭
Damn no mention of Antonio brown he really smothered his accomplishments
Well he’s also really good at pulling his pud in public so maybe they left him out.
nah bro he just doin him nfl jus rigged hatin on him
Yeah I was like hes been in the league like 2 seasons ago and they didnt mention him. He's a catch magnet. Him and D Hopkins well in his prime...
@@jayinthebxwhat does being a catch magnet have to do with running routes. As far as good route running goes Dhop doesn’t run great routes because he doesn’t need as much separation to catch. Ab was never the best route runner in the league but was always great at it
I think there just talking about the now but him and Jerry Rice was the best I seen
Keenan Allan with the Chargers he'll make ya look like a idiot and will make you silly his route running is ridiculously crazy
Keenan Allen is not fast. BUT That man is always open. Even at 31 right now, hes probably having the best year I have ever seen from him. Justin Herbert has missed him wide open last two games to the point of maybe 100+ yards and two-three touchdowns. If he was on another team he would be talked about so much. Only Charger record he is chasing is all time yards from Gates, which is also insane to think about cause he was our TE.
Yeah, this is the thing. His route-running deception can mess with his own QB.
Lol Harbaugh’s comment about needing to catch the ball at the end. Amen! 😂
Thanks for shouting out Keenan 🙌😂 he may have not been on the best of teams but he is always crazy to watch play
Such beautiful routes by Davante Adams, only to be missed by Raiders QBs by 5 yards
Marvin Harrison was a excellent route runner of a wide receiver in his peime catching passes from Peyton Manning
It’s less thought about cause the ball isn’t in their hands yet, but it’s essential to an offense.
Why are they asking guys who don’t run routes about route running 😂. Also Antonio Brown was the best route runner I’ve ever seen
they're asking coaches and DBs... DBs know who the hardest guys to cover are better than anyone, since they're the ones who have to cover them
Not showing Antonio Brown in this video is damn near criminal.
Chad Johnson is a footwork grandmaster
1:02 To this day still the best route I’ve ever seen ran.
Some of these receivers in the NFL who are the best at route running is like watching Allen Iverson in the NBA crossing over everyone making them look foolish the way he dose on the hardwood but he did play high school football too now he's a basketball hall of famer
I can’t remember who it was, but I saw a video of one of these guys dribbling a basketball and doing moves to work on his release at the line. It really correlates to it
Marvin Harrison doesn't get enough credit for how crispy his routes were.
Chad Ocho is the greatest route runner of all time and it’s not debatable. He used to tell DBs his routes lmao still couldn’t stop it
harbaurgh calling out his receivers lol
Chad Johnson feet was crazy but phenomenal of what he dose best in Cincinnati playing for the Bangles
He played for the Bengals during one of the hardest era's, and single handily made them a must watch team
I feel like head movement is also an important key to running a route. DB’s are watching everything from eyes to hand. If you look one direction and go another direction, the db is now in no man’s land
Not true dbs are taught to watch hips as your hips are always the first thing to move or change direction. Head fakes and fast feet only work on a db who didn’t keep his eyes on the hips. Great WRs can also flip there hips fast which allows them to sell like their going one way
"Josh McDaniels, Raiders Head Coach" aged like milk
4:54 was so beautiful, made me cry like ocho
I love that Josh McDaniels is in this video for all of eternity.
Kelce's routes are extremely underrated
I want more Keenan Allan highlights
The Nuk clip is hilarious. 😂😂 Dhop that guy
85 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Fred Biletnikoff was the og pure route runner
didn't realize there were so many different ways to juke, thanks
Amari Cooper is underrated
Best attributes of a route runner is the ability to separate, timing, and change of direction skills.
can we talk about the art of locking up receivers?
For me, Steve Largent is the greatest pure route runner in NFL history. Having to compensate for his average athleticism with precise and crisp moves for an entire high-tier HOF career is insane.
Steve largent isn’t better than half the Wr in the league currently. He was a innovator yes but the game has far surpassed his ability to run routes in large part thanks to him and Jerry rice and then later ocho and guys like stevie
With no gloves by the way
No wonder receivers get mad when they're not thrown the ball. All that work to get open for nothing
Diggs listed at 6ft and Allen at 6’5 yet Josh Allen looks a whole 1ft taller than him.
6:13 this might be the worst analogy of a great route runner I've ever heard lmao
No it wasn’t it was pretty accurate
Chad is always open. They should've showed some love to McCaffrey.
Ed?
It’s so advanced nowadays 💯
And now we see why CB is the hardest position.
Without question. Even Deion got cooked a couple times.
The greatest artist of the art of route running is Jerry Rice. You want to be a great WR in the NFL? Then start watching film on Jerry Rice.
I can't disagree with you on that
Uh no. You are very wrong
I've watched a ton of Jerry Rice film but so far I've received no calls from NFL teams :(
Common NFL films W
Raymond Berry invented most of it.
Keenan allen will be in the top 3-6 in WR stats year after year, yet no one gives him any recognition. His hands might get a little inconsistent here and there...but he is elite
That Deandre hopkins play is an all timer
2:53... I DIDN'T see Diggs catch the 🏈
Chase did that mane bad at the beginning. 😭
Antonio Brown and Jerry Rice the route running goats
They need to rerelease this video and have “former Las Vegas raiders coach” to Josh McDaniels🤣
How tf yall leave out Doug Baldwin?
Best ever was Steve Largent 😊
Hopkins breaking Halls ankles is history. The build up of them arguing makes it so much worse for hall. Who was a great CB in his years
Antonio Brown, Davonte Adams, and Marvin Harrison from the Colts are the best route runners of all time
Can we show some love for AJ Brown? He’s not just strong as hell, but he has amazing footwork!
His route running is serviceable for his skill set when comparing him to guys who’s main asset is route running he is not comparable
Oh word so no Amari cooper in those joint.
This is why I have more respect for corner backs...imagine having to stick with these guys, starting your cover literally on a backfoot and still make a play on the ball!
Doug Baldwin was a great route runner.
Y'all remember Reggie Wayne and Torry Holt smh they were technicians
Nobody's better than Keenan Allen
Has anybody heard of Marvin Harrison
Not a single mention of Antonio Brown? He's probably the best route runner of all time.
Ab was never a better route runner then Julio or Obj back when they was the best 3 Wrs stop the cap
@@Mokuteke wow that’s a freezing cold take 🥶❄️
@@datsko6339 ab main asset that made him great was not his route running. It was his speed and change of direction. And his stamina he had the best gas tank of any Wr
Torry Holt used to mf thread some routes Issac Bruce as well
Yeah a lot of great ones were left out here. Sammy White for one.
Is this a reupload?
Davante still the best
no one is better than jerry jeudy or amari cooper stamp tha
Smitty 🫶🏼
Does the NFL fit these routes into their script every season?
Yup.
That and all the injuries.
They play a lottery to see who will have a career ending concussion.
ANTONIO BROWN?!
Haha Ocho is a damn fool
Diggs has the best feet in the NFL.
jfc there's no escaping eberflus
Hunter Renfrow:
Not a chad tear
Josh McDaniels raiders HC 😂😂not for long
No Hunter Renfrow 😬
Sean shouldn’t be here dude sends two receivers to the same spot
No honorable mention for hunter renfrow? Showed kupp.
kupp is way better than renfrow. I can't qwhite put my finger on why you're comparing those two...
Dez was a Mid WR
Mike Evans anyone?? The only receiver in nfl history with 1000+ yards in each season he’s ever played smh 🤦♂️
Not off of crazy route running or spectacular seperation. Even his realases are mid
That doesn’t make him the best route running
amari cooper ?
So nobody gonna press Jamar Chase right ok.
John 12:46
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
Not one Ravens WR. Lamar needs helps
I fear god
No mention of Amari Cooper is blasphemy
First
All those receivers except ocho crafted their game after Can’tguardmike
No tf
None of this is in madden lol 😂
Too bad Adam’s is on the Raiders… I know he wants to play for his team but they are just absolutely not utilizing him
uhhh yeah belichick and josh mcdaniels shouldn't be allowed to talk about route running. Those two can peace out.
Welker and Edelman exist
I still think AB was better than these guys
Amazing video, however I had to listen to “Brandon Staley” talk about my pookie bear keenan allen so I am unfortunately disliking😢
No Mike Evans? Most underrated WR in the game
I think Mike is a great WR, and he may be underrated, but I don't think he excels at route running. In my opinion, his best ability is the use of his body and toughness combined with a notable speed (especially considering his size).
Females are to be seen not heard especially about sports 💯
