I think the craziest part of this defense is that I genuinely don’t know where we could/should improve. Going into the season we were worried about LB and S, but now Whitehead is playing like he did in Tampa and we have one of the best LB duos in the league so far. You could say we could add a higher caliber safety to replace Adams, but I think if one thing I’ve learned about Saleh is that giving players an extra year in the system leads to incredible growth. This is Adams first year starting as a UDFA last year, so I even have faith that he can come into his own by the end of the year/beginning of next season. Maybe replace Lawson with a better vet pass rusher in FA? But then again, JJ is shaping up to be a full blown beast each game that passes this season and I expect McDonald will play an increased role next year as well. Or draft another young DT to hopefully get an interior pass rusher? At this point making any move on our defense besides resigning/extending guys just feels like a luxury move. Truly awesome place to be in. We were undoubtedly a Top 5 unit last year, but I think we’ve proven our case to be a Top 3 unit this year (Us, Cowboys and Eagles) and I don’t see us being number 3 either.

offensive Lines are slanting protections to stop Huff. Jets counter with over load blitzes. Both Huff & Johnson drop into Coverage occasionally, great athleticism

Honestly, isn’t getting many snaps. Around 80 total I’d say.

When you have Huff and Johnson playing the way they are, it’s tough for McDonald to break into the lineup, but that can be a good thing…let him marinate and learn from these great players, his time will come, plus injuries happen. He’s still young and raw. He’s only a rookie. Bring him up slowly like JJ and Huff…did them good, now they are tearing it up and really coming into their own.

I think this video also really shows how Quinnen Williams is priority. O-lines aren't respecting Huff and JJ enough thats theur mistake. Q is just waiting to see if Qbs try to run inside cuz he is waiting constantly pushing towards them. I expect that eventually Qbs will scramble outside the pocket faster then usual just to get space to throw adding more yardage and distance jst to make short throws. Which is fine cuz Quincy looks like pac-man out there making open space tackles. All of this lets us lay back and choose moments to send DB to blitz.

Big Q is the whole reason this works. He is a walking double team. If you pull the extra guy off of him to help on the edge that leaves him in a 1 on 1 situation. Not many lineman can stop him 1 on 1. So if teams start trying to pull an extra guy to the edge expect his sack numbers to start climbing.

@@PlayLikeAJet We give Joe Douglas credit for one good draft yet net hold him accountable for his other bad ones. He didn't believe in what Huff did last year, so he drafted another pass rusher and unnecessarily brought back Lawson. So if we lose Huff, that's on Sleepy Joe
