EDIT: I fumbled chatters. Point #1 for QB is drafting a QB1 before Round 14 NOT Round 4 (slide @ 17:55). Also, don't be fooled by the intros to RB (11:20) and QB (16:56). The guys do not talk about TEs three separate times. Hard enough to do it once.

Would love to get a video like this for non best ball drafts whenever they are approaching
If you want to use the rankings in a redraft league, bump up the values of the running backs by at least 1 round. Best ball leagues tend to skew heavily towards WRs because you can use more.

I find that this advice has lead to a higher floor in my redraft leagues. Our set up is 2/2/2 rb/wr/flex and I usually target WRs to fill those flex spots when I draft in the early to mid rounds. My league tends to undervalue WRs. I’m often faced in the second round with “should I take an RB2 or ARSB?” And then my 3-4 of my first 5 picks are receivers

A good reason to listen to these guys is that they have the actual details from the drafts, and therefore crunch those data sets. I’m sure anyone can get those stats for themselves, but I trust them being able to see them at an overall clip. Best stream out there!! Thanks guys
😂 I didn't realize until about 10 mins in that this was drafting for Fantasy, not the NFL Draft. (I was like, 4 WR's by Rd 7?? Man have LBs been downgraded 🤣😃)
#17 Puca N was drafted 177th overall. I drafted him in round 17.7 last year in a dynasty startup. 17 is my new lucky number.

i love your individual projections in season ,as i make a lot of moves so you do help me in leagues. and even daily. i play just a few best ball but i like your info for everything. but i listen to a lot of other shows too.
I was in 7 1/2 PPR leagues last season my result 2-1st , 1 2nd ,1 3rd , 1 4th. 1 5th.1 7th ( all 10player yahoo leagues.) slightly better than my norm . but in 1/2 ppr rb's . really matter due to lack of depth of quality. the key to winning is finding the quality breaks and beating the adp. TE is still the tightest pos. - of course in leagues you have def and kickers usually. you need 2 good def - stream them and play the waiver wire for matchups 2-3 weeks away.

i am addicted to these drafts lol. the NBA and Golf ones are so much fun. going to be sad when NBA season is over. btw the baseball seems the hardest. too hard to win and pick.
What’s y’all’s take with how high and honestly few RBs it feels like at the top? Feel like I’m always stuck with bottom end RBs or taking a running back when the wr counterparts are available are better. Is this just based of bestball?
Which month is more successful to be drafting from?
Would love to see some of their signature data on any correlations with time of the year drafted. I’ve always preferred later august to get the most accurate picture you can, but some of the values in may/June look like real game changers.
Did you guys ever go over the winning BBM4 team? We got an analysis vid on the BBM3 team the year before so just curious
Love the video! I keep hearing Patt and people in some of those circles say that reaching past ADP stops really mattering past round 10 or 11. Did your data sort of disprove this? Just curious how that chart about reaching looks when we compare the first and 2nd half of the draft
I agree with that assessment, just keep in mind that players are generally valued around the places they should be drafted. Don't reach more than 1 round ahead of your draft spot once you hit the 120s and up.

6 WR's through round 6 was a heck of an anomaly last year as compared to years past
I just don't understand how best ball could be God's game when it isn't real FFB strategy. It is desgined for people who are in too many leagues to set each roster.
Quick question though, if only 49% drafted 4-5 wr thru round 7, how do we know that data won’t skew in a big way if 75-80% of ppl draft 4-5 wr thru round 7?

Any thoughts on how these strategies might change in the 12 team sit and go drafts? I would imagine uniqueness is less important since you just need to beat a few teams to make $, not tens of thousands. Probably same thing about stacking beyond 2nd pass catchers. I would love to see some data and analysis on these drafts as I like to use them to practice drafting before dropping more $ for a round of BBM.
This ^!!! I’m very much wondering the same. We only have to beat 11 other teams to cash, and if this make sense. I feel it’s close, but I don’t mind taking more elites unstacked, and I definitely try not to reach to stack, like they do in these tournaments. I still go piss boy yellow/orange, but try to get my two elites in the first 6 picks. My leagues draft rb heavy early, so I scoop up the other values and go for Zamora, Moss, Singletary, and some upside rookies. I also focus on more rbs, if I am too heavy on wrs. It’s been a pretty good run with a 33% success rate in the last 4 years. Turned $450 in 6k during that time. Good luck!!
I rejected my player take on Kyren last season. Only had him in 5% of my drafts because I didnt want to over commit on a round 18 pick. Have your player takes and run with them people!
Tryin a new league where theres 4 rounds. Each round you pick a team def and after the 4 rounds the commish assigns all offense players of those 4 teams. Pretty stoked cus i was able to get detroit and chicago

Are any of the data sets used for the info in this video available to the public, or do Josh and Hayden only have access since they work for UD? I would love to examine some of this data on team composition and former winning teams, etc., but I never know where to find it.

The biggest take away from this video is Hayden claiming bulky tight end has never worked but it’s also the only statement he did not show any data to back up would love to see more on this topic of bulky tight end bc it’s quite popular this year?

I wish this channel had a little more focus on redraft. The content is so damn good.. its the best channel.. its just all best ball, all the time
I hear you, even though I cut them more slack than anybody considering this is Underdog’s official channel. Definitely how I feel with all the other fantasy channels out there, seems like the influence of underdog/best ball skews the narrative a bit.. I think running backs are getting undervalued due to the best ball format, and a lot of these channels minimize how that affects strategy for redraft

During the season it’s all redraft advice. But this time of year it’s just dynasty and best ball, BB is their bread and butter 🤷🏻♂️
I know there are numbers supporting drafting Wrs historically early for bestball but my god how can the wr26 be drafted over rb 10. The only reason you might have to draft wr early is because they are way overvalued this year in the rankings and will be gone in a few rounds. Regardless if you have to use 3 Wrs just give me the guy that’s going to obviously score more if healthy. And the wrs after the top 12 or so are a mess to figure out and take as a second round pick
The reason is that the rb’s have been busting like crazy and tanking your draft if you took them early. Look at top 10 rb last year in drafts. There’s ekeler, Bijan, Henry, pollard, Chubb, Jacobs, Stevenson all busts. So the teams that took early rb scored less typically because there were fewer hits
@@MrMmitsch the top 10-12 wr less likely to bust. But the Wrs after that are a mess.
@@dbarller idk about that really. I just checked rankings from last year and there’s really only Christian Watson and Chris Godwin that were big busts in the top 25

Gonna echo other sentiments that I wish there was more redraft and ESPECIALLY Dynasty content on this channel. You guys are EXCELLENT and are missing out on audience capture by glossing over the huge Dynasty appetite and community
They work for a company that exclusively runs best ball, wouldn’t make sense to invest their time in competing markets
They do more redraft content closer to the season when the vast majority are drafting their home leagues. Right now the main people looking for content are best ball drafters
