Yesterday I wandered into a gun shop, found a CZ 75 SP-01 and after a few minutes, had to pay the 700. At the range today and it was great. I am happy with my purchase but need a few more mags to use it in comp :)

While on duty I'm required to carry the Glock I was issued, but on occasion I can openly carry a different gun and I always choose the CZ-75 SP-01 Tactical. This gun rocks. I've kept mine with all the factory parts (except for the grips for an Instagram photo op lol). I'd carry it everyday if I could. Great review, ty 👍🏻

Vincente Baffoni My dept. let us qual with personal firearms as long as they were An M&P Glock or CZ. They wanted the p10 but I convinced them to look at the sp01. Thankfully they let me carry it. Gets a lot of questions from gun people on stop and around town for sure.

@@TiberiousGib here in Switzerland, if you are a good citizen, without problems with the justice, you can buy an unlimited number of weapons of various calibers, but you must follow a course of handling of weapons and belong to a shooting club .
The majority of Swiss citizens have weapons at home.
Also the weapons received in the military service you can keep them at home .....

Love both my SP-01 and P-01. I use the P-01 as my EDC and the SP-01 pretty much purely a range gun. But both are fantastic.

Arguably not my favorite pistol for the price. However, it is the Cadillac of 9mm's, it is by far, the most comfortable, easiest to shoot, incredibly easy to acquire the target, manageable 9mm I've ever fired, and I'm comparing it to custom Glocks and other favorites like Beretta and SIG. One of the sexiest guns I've ever held and cannot find a single flaw with it in terms of performance. This gun performs as good as it looks right out of the cabinet/box.
If definitely has a lot good qualities, especially with the upgrades from Cajun Gun Works

I've owned this gun for 16 years, put 150,000 rounds through it and had to retire it recently. I just bought the tactical version with the decocker....Trust me when I tell you this....this is the best full sized pistol ever manufactured....sorry John Moses Browning! Only complaint, the night sights don't give you a good sight picture at your local range with florescent lights....swapping out for fiber optic sights!

I have the non tactical version for home defense, so mine always stays in SA. The accuracy is ridiculous and have to agree that it is 90% more accurate than the shooter lol.

You should try the CZ Shadow 2... The SP-01 is great, but the S2 is AMAZING... (As a competition gun, its heavy as a giant brick). I have several pistols and the S2 wins every time. Even over my P226, Beretta APX combat and 1911. CZ are amazing. Try out the S2, you wont be disapointed.. Pro-tip: Try getting some grips from LOK grips, Henning gribs are also amazing. I just bought Armanov for my S2. (Actually the new grips are Pink as im gifting my S2 to my daughter along with some mag pink mag pouches... She is going to use it in IPSC competetion, she is 11 yo and was the youngest in Denmark to ever get a full IPSC license). Greetings from Denmark.

Can't go wrong with a CZ. Shadow 2 is about as good as it gets for a production pistol that competition ready right out of the box.

Do you have an issue with using this as an EDC IWB carry? I really want this but I don't like barrels under 5 " and I'm wanting something that's not polymer frame. I'm not sure I want to drop down to a 3.75" barrel. I was even considering putting a longer barrel in it that's threaded. i'm imagining a comfort tuck vedder holster and a solid belt would make it work. Any insights would be appreciated thanks. I also don't really care for the safety on the non tactical model

Just bought one today, tired of the muzzle flip of my Walther PPQ and tired of compact guns. Haven't shot it yet, but I can tell by how it fits in my hand like a 1911 & the low bore axis I'm gonna like it. The included 3 18 round magazine's are a good thing as well. I'm gonna make a killer holster for it, buy a surefire light, then make a holster for that setup. Looking forward to shooting it. Yes I make custom gun leather.

Would this be a good conceal carry gun?
It’s a great gun that could be used as a concealed carry gun but it’s on the heavy side.
Some people don’t mind but many won’t be able to pull it off. Regardless of what you carry make sure you have a good belt and holster
Can't get a Canik in California so plan B is a CZ 75 SP-01 for me.
Sp-01 > Canik. Definitely consider the trigger upgrade from Cajun Gun Works

the decocker is meaningless and does nothing but add weight to the trigger. its a complete redundant feature that no one needs
What if someone wants to decock without pulling the trigger?
@@TiberiousGib you can manually decock the gun to either full decock or quarter cock position by holding the hammer and pulling the trigger.
if you dont feel comfortable doing it, there are a few techniques that make it safer. For example, one way is putting your thumb between the hammer and the slide before you do it incase you slip. From there you can either carefully decock, or roll your thumb out until you feel it click into quarter cock position. there are a few good tutorials on yt you can find that explain it in detail.
@@mortrob8371 its not an opinion, its basic physics. there are two springs around the trigger on the decocker model versus one on the non decocker. look it up
@@mortrob8371 Im saying that there is no "need" to decock your firearm. Im saying in the case that you "want" to, for whatever reason, you can still decock it safely by paying attention and doing it right. There is no real benefit to the decocker in terms of the guns primary function. It only hinders its performance. The only real reason to decock is for competitions where you need to start hammer down.
