because instruction for DumboRC transmitter and receiver is written for Nasa engineers I wanted to make a movie and show all that I know about it :)
As You can see on movie I still struggle to understand some settings but now I know how to set up remote and transmitter :) - Zábava
It doesn't work for me.
There are two versions now as far as I know and the new version have a different combination to get into the menu.
Check manual how to enter the menu in Your version
@@Adrian202 I found a young kid that had a video. Turn left while pulling trigger, turn on, push ch3 , blue light on top flashed, pull trigger, release to center, push forwards, and return to center, repeat, move ch 4, and 5 knob, and switch, push ch3 programming complete

Thank you, this was exactly the explanation I needed. Note: on my dumborc X6, to enter programming mode, you have to pull back the trigger and turn the wheel left, switch power on and then push button ch3.

Hey, This vid helped me a lot!! I just got the DumboRC x4 that used the new program mode option. I did not know what the dials did and somehow accidentally zeroed the throttle and steering out. I thought i got a broke unit but i could still adjust the trim and the car would move so I knew it had to be a setting. Watched a bunch of other vids and read forums and nobody else said anything about the knobs! Thanks for making this video!

How do you bind the two together? The blue light on my controller stays solid even when I press the bind button on the receiver? I have two of them and neither will bind to controller

How does it work my car still won't reverse.
Can I put two servos on the steering channel. Because my car has two servos
On all radios and just use splitter.
The only problem will be to reverse the rear one, but there are servo reversers on the internet, or You can redesign steering to reverse direction.
Can i connect rc flashing car system for controlling the function of the led? Like the turn signal
I did that :) mostly light kits use Y splitter to connect to steering and throttle.

Is it possible to reverse channel 5 and 6? I've looked all over the internet, but I cannot find anyone describing how to do it (or saying that it's not possible).
One note - with regards to the direction of the Rx for the gyro to function. I have installed mine in my HPI water tight Rx box but it only fits sideways and the gyro seems to work properly. I am not certain how but it does. Any comments?
Maybe it's detecting rotation, not moving sideways ??

I have x6 transmitter x6dc receiver. My ch5&6 are push buttons not knobs. I'm still trying to figure out how to adjust their trim like the ch3&4 that use the 0-100 knobs.
On the one that I have You trim aux with trims of throttle and steering but in programming mode, but they change software in remotes and I don't know if new remotes still have that
How do you get the failsafe to work on this radio, I've just got one and I'm trying to set it to put the brakes on for my nitro when I turn the transmitter off (go out of range)

I need help with the light on the transmitter is blinking while the esc is plugged in (and on) and I ONLY have the esc plugged in (because im waiting for the servo to arrive) and im wondering how to fix this, or if it just need a servo to combine with the esc to work for some reason
Is receiver connected to radio ?? Maybe it's signaling that radio is not connected

Just got this for myself - great radio and features, but I seem to have a problem with Channel 1 - steering. The steering trims settings are opposite to the direction I want. I can trim the steering, but it's frustrating that I have to go opposite direction on the steering trim knob. Any advice?
I notice the same :D reverse only work for direction not centering :D
That's software problem and to fix that You will need to rotate servo in mount but for most models not possible :)
i see you have 4 x 1.5V rechargeable batteries (that is nominal voltage of 4x1.2V = 4.8V). i know the remote also can use a 2s battery pack of 7.4V nominal voltage. Do you know if using the 4x1.5V batteries makes the signal range shorter or weaker compared to when using 7.4V ? thank you
I don't think so, It's probably regulated down to 3,3v, but I'm not sure about voltage

I am using 3s zop 2200 mah and my receiver has burnt as I directly attached my battery to it without esc .Can new receiver be connected to it easily and my esc is 320 a
receiver can support up to 2s as far as I know and NEVER CONNECT BATTERY TO RECEIVER !! there is no battery protection and voltage regulator so always use BEC, UBEC or ESC to power servos and receiver :)
for receiver is not important how powerful si ESC or motor because it's only sending signal to it and ESC get all current on mosfets if I remember :)

I bought this hopes of upgrading the one I got with my danchee ridgerock but I can’t seem to program steering modes( crab-4wheel steer or just rear steering) is it possible to set this transmitter up do do that? I have 2 servos and they’re plugged into channels 1-3
I don't think You can use dual steering with this one unless You use a special mixer that will add that function.
You can have rear steering on potentiometer but will not be mixed with steering

Sir i just ask why i cant control the channel 3-6 on my dumborc tx rx,but it have power when i put the servo on each channel 3to6 it has a direct power.thankyou in advance
first check if You connected plug right because in connecting plug opposite will make it turn on but get no signal.
Check if channel 1 and 2 work to confirm that You have connection.
Start from basic thinks just to reduce some simple solutions.

I have just two more questions: Is it possible to drive a crawler winch on CH 4 with the 3 position switch (the best would be: Pos 1 (left): on/ Pos2 (middle): off / Pos 3 (right): on in reverse direction)? Channel 4 is moving from negative --> center --> positive that mean on ESC it will have reverse/brake --> neutral --> forward in programming mode You can change max angles, so You can adjust that for Your needs.
Switch on channel 4 is always working until remote have it :D
6th cahnnel could work with servo like 5th, or it is only for gyroscope sensitivity?
in theory Yes because there is connector for that channel on receiver but it would be better to disable gyro in receiver.
In that case would be just better to buy version without gyro :D

Just to let you know, new versions of this transmitter use a different combination to access the program mode. Now you fully press trigger and turn steering wheel to the left, turn on transmitter and release both controls. Then press ch 3 to access program mode. Took a while for me to find this as the manual still mentions your way @ 19:00. Hope this helps somebody

Is that a gyro transmitter and receiver it's on its side that's why it's twitching
The twitching cuz of the gyro turn a gyro off to stop twitching

hi, you receive it T6F does not have the gyroscooio function, right? do we need the receiver that ends with the abbreviation FG? Thank you
If I'm not wrong, gyroscope function is in receiver so transmitter need to have so many channels just to be able to set specific sensibility on gyroscope to work bot I could be wrong

Hi, I wanted to know, does this receiver work with 11.1v 3s lipo. I am pretty confused as it has '4.8v-10v' written on it.
Because receiver same as servos is powered by BEC from ESC or separate BEC and most of them have 5-6v

How many receivers can you bind to one transmitter of that model?
I think one, I did not test for more than one because You can't switch between settings so You will always need to calibrate after connection and that annoying :)

Quick question. Can you bind multiple receivers with this transmitter?
Not worth trying, you would need to change all the settings each time You connect to another receiver.
If You had LCD and profiles that would change all the settings than that would make sense.
Perhaps you could splice the power lead from the BEC into one of the servo leads? That way you would use one port on the receiver for a servo and for power at the same time. I should work don't you think?
Mostly ESC provide power for receiver and servos so no need for that :)
25:10 The channel 6 potentiometer will still turn a servo, even when in Gyro-mode.

There is mechanical block on gears and electronic position detection on potentiometer that block continuous rotation, not all servos are easy to modify
@@Adrian202 I am not talking about the servos I am talking about the transmitter because i know that servos are not about to do continously rotation however the transmitter doesn't allow the servos to rotate at their limit and I was wondering if it was possible to modify it so the servos could rotate at their limit
I have this.. but I have a vehicle that I don't need so many channels could I use a smaller receiver I have Kyosho HOR motorcycle and the receiver maybe too big.
Only Dumbo RC receivers can work with this radio (so far)
You can take off case from receiver or unsolder connectors (like I did once)

What if I take it out the case and put it in a balloon would it get too hot?
Thanks very much for showing all of the functions. It would've been so great if the receiver had a normal button on top - mine's now stickied in my receiver box and I can't activate gyro mode without ripping it out :(
bigger buton would be to easy to click so something inside like cables may click it and unbind it but hole is so small that You could just drill small hole in Your RC and Use something thin to click it :)

I don't think there is a factory reset, You just save new settings
Sir I bought x6 everything is one and I am using 320a ESC and 2s lipo and my transmitter shows blue and green light and there is no response
Some people also have this problem and I don't remember what they do to fix it :(
I did not find this problem on My radios so I can't show how to fix it.
Here is what You can try:
1. Check if light on receiver is solid, if it's blinking than it mean it's not connected to receiver
2. Try to change mode to v-mixer and back to normal
3. Get in to calibration menu and calibrate all channels like I show on movie
I think it's just some safety or something but I don't have this problem and can't check what's wrong :(

I don't think it will be able to connect to other company receivers, most of the remotes are designed to connect with own receivers (Only Flysky can connect to some receivers designed for it)

You mean gearbox ?? Most of the people use channel 3 switch

one question: can you connect LED lights for the car directly to the receiver? for example to channel 3? if yes, how much Voltage and how much current does the receiver supply to the LED in this case? so that I know how powerful LED I can add. thanks!
All depend on BEC or ESC that power receiver.
Most of ESC have 6 or 5 volts and something about 3 amps but You will not have any control to turn it off that's why I always use RC switch
Guys, I need your help. I have transmitter Dumbo X-4. By accident, I have bind (somehow) under throttle a light in my JLB J3 Speed. I don't know how to bind acceler4ation to throttle button again. Please help :(

Just connect ESC to channel 2 and steering servo to channel 1 :)
hi there is it possible to connect an Fan to the Receiver ? is there an channel with permanent output ? or would it be possible to plug it in channel 3 ? could you explain which pin is which polarity by default/Forward ? Nice Video o/ much information i didnt know :D !
You need 2 pin fan (3 pin version could not work) also need to be for 5v or 6v depending on BEC that power receiver.
Each channel have + on inside and - on one of outside pins
You just connect fan to that two pins because they are connected together.
Hi, a very good explanation of the Dumborc TX for something that is not easy to decipher from the manual, in regards to controlling 2 motors my understanding of the manual is you connect 2 ESC's (and 2 motors) to channels 1 and 2 which will give you differential steering which is fine for a tracked vehicle but I would like the TX to not only control 2 motors but also control a separate servo to control the steering as well! I don't think this is something that the 6 channel Dumborc can do but hoping I'm wrong LOL what are your thoughts on this? thanks in advance.
You could use potentiometers for that

@@markpreston8273 You can connect servo to potentiometer and that would be a second steering wheel :)
or You can use a separate v-mixer for motors and split steering signal to v-mixer and servo.

Hi I want to ask you something that I am using dumborc transmitter and receiver and 2s lipo and hsp 320a esc in my car my throttle is 100 but I push it ,it does not catch speed immediately .do i need to change my esc?
Sorry but there is way to much things that would make this problem that's why I can't be more specific.
This could be a mechanical problem, problem with ESC, trimming on remote, soft start on ESC and much more so You will need to test each part one by one to find what's wrong.

If You use RC switches or lights with 3 wires than Yes, They use hi/lo positions for switching so that will work

You always need BEC, UBEC or ESC with BEC to power receiver or You will burn it

@@nowitsepic5330 receiver mostly work on max 7.2v volts so You can't connect battery directly but how much voltage ESC can support will depend on ESC because it will mostly send 5v to receiver no matter what battery You use

There is failsave but if You turn off remote fist car like to turn on steering or turn on motor and go forward so for My giant Mercedes project I have separate failsave just to prevent that gas freek out

Brake is only on ESC, First tell Me what channel ?? if You mean channel 1 (steering) than check if You have center in middle and second pot on full to have full range if Yes than You need to set ranges to full, go into program mode and move steering wheel and throttle in both directions to set maximum angles on channel 1 and 2 :)

Everything works great but I can't get the reverse on the trigger to work
You may need to re calibrate full angles in setup mode and than try

My receiver light on is red, why ? Please help. And ch 1 can't work
different color light mean different mode, check in manual chow to change mode in transmitter to normal
Worked fine for two weeks for me but now it won't even turn on except i switch the steering back to reverse then it stays on but as soon as i try to reverse the steering back to normal it just shuts off don't know what to do 😒
Check batteries, if receiver turn off than check connections, if transmitter turn may be faulty than call seller about it

As far as I know there is no factory settings, You can only change mode and calibrate ranges on channels

You would need to bind over and over so not worth to bother and just buy new transmitter
Having trouble. I plug everything in and as soon as i turn on the radio all power shuts off. I trouble shoot by removing servo and ot works plug servo in it shuts off. Help?

How do u put power to the receiver
Receiver can be powered from motor controller (ESC) build in BEC (build in power converter) or just separated BEC

I don't think You can activate or deactivate it here.
It's mostly on by default in all cheap radios and it's set to get all channels to middle position but here receiver like to send random signal to channels (You can see that when You turn off radio first and car start to turn wheels or run on full speed :D )

This doesn't do anything with receiver because ESC need to be able to work with 3S battery like DumboRC ESC can work with 2S and 3S battery but receiver still get 5v or 6v
Since you've had this for a while maybe you can help: a portion of these radios have an issue where they simply just lock up and keep sending the same signal (full throttle and right turn for example) for 1-3 seconds... causing run aways and such. ... it resets and you gain control again.
have you had this? if not is there any chance you could open yours and help those of us who have this issue.... it might be that a new revision of the control board has removed this bug OR this is a manufacturing defect due to some bad soldering or something..... detailed shots of both of these might help solve the issue for those of us looking for a solution(so far ive only found ppl talking about the issue no solution yet)
So I notice this problem when You turn on receiver but not radio, When You lost connection receiver love to send random signal on random channel, sadly that's software problem and I don't know if failsafe device will detect missing signal.

Yes You can bind it to transmitter.
Depending on transmitter it will automatic connect to nearest transmitter or You need to hold bind button and turn it on.
If i remember on transmitter You need to hold button to get in to bind procedure but I don't remember that so better check manual
The usb connection is just to power your transmitter if you don’t use a battery. The only thing about it is it bypass the on/off switch.
You could connect a power bank in case if batteries would discharge :)
How to reset channel 3 and channel 4 on dumborc hand
You need to get in programming mode (that will depend on version of radio that You have) but before You enter set both channels potentiometers to max. Remember to move steering wheel and throttle trigger to minimum and max to set full range of channel 1 and 2
I actually prefer the quality of this transmitter to the Austar x6s. Thanks for explaining the tank mode...I might actually get a tank now 😆

Yes I have the same problem with only one of mine, did you fix it and how.
bit late but always make sure the car is off before you turn the transmitter off, and that the transmitter is on before you turn the car on.

I think that secondary menu is program mode but manual is dumb about this :D

Turn potentiometer under steering trim to 100% and that should help :)

You have switch to reverse it, potentiometer to adjust center and in settings (check manual) You can limit ranges, but it's better to stay with default range

No, only if You make it waterproof. remember how cheap is this radio :)

@@rd7227 There is a spray that make electronic waterproof and that You open receiver, spray it as much You can and close it back or just check on CZcams how people do it because gyroscope can be covered and that should still work fine :)

any of theme but mostly it's ch2 because ESC have build in BEC but if You use gyro You can also use that connector

@@dion9265 winch can be controlled by ch4 because it's 3 position or pot on ch5, 2 speed gearbox I don't recommend but can be controlled by ch3 and lights by ch6 if You will not use Gyro.
I recommend to not use switchable gearbox and Your life will be more easy :)
