- Join Mike, a passionate Tipperary man, as he leads us through his homeland proudly showing off the heart of Ireland.
Tipperary is full of history and is evident with sights such as the Rock of Cashel, Cahir Caslte and Swiss Cottage. The Celtic Culture can be found in every corner of the County.
My family’s from Tipperary, they migrated during the famine. We now live in Leeds and Manchester but I really want to come here one day. Other side of the family are from Derry/Belfast and became Catholic refugees during the violence after the partition of Northern Ireland in 1921. Need to get to Ireland soon my Nanna used to say once you were in Ireland you were half way to heaven! 🙏☘️ 🇮🇪

My direct ancestor lived there in Killhouse Castle. His son came to America in the 1700’s to Pennsylvania to land purchased from William Penn. This place is so beautiful. I am always proud of my Irish heritage.
I believe my ancestors were from Tipperary - they left during the famine and the evictions liks so many others and ended up as London Irish. It is my great hope to return to the South East and West regions of Eire from where our family name is said to originate. Fantastic vid ... cheers!

My families heritage is in Tipperary and we are going to visit this spring. I am very interested in the ancient holy grounds that Mike visited. What is it called? and how would we get there? I am also interested in Swiss Cottage, Cahir Castle and Rock of Cashel.
Hmmmmm... would that be the St Patrick Pilgrimage you are talking about? Or Ireland's Ancient East? goo.gl/OV46U5
Base yourself in Tipperary Town or The Glen of Aherlow and you will have great access to the whole county and the sites shown. Go to: www.aherlow.com to connect with Mike Moroney (in video) and find out more about the hidden gems he guides people to every summer. Enjoy
