My Great Great Grandparents came to Boston USA from County Tyrone Ireland. Patrick Hughes, born in County Tyrone, Ireland, in 1830, immigrated to the United States in 1855. He met and married Jane O’Neil, and the couple sailed for California in 1856. Ended up in Oregon where they built their dream Home which is now a Museum. Hughes House at Cape Blanco is a beautiful Victorian home. A must see if you are able to visit or view online! 🙋🏼‍♀️

daniel courtney why don't you take a call into a few pubs in Tyrone, and tell people that. In fact why not call into a few pubs in a wee Co Tyrone town called Coalisland, and tell people that. You'll soon find out how Irish folk are then, and how difficult chewing your food will be afterwards 😋

For the past 17 years I have been intrigued with the name of John Brogan.. there are 4, (FOUR!!!) buried in the Historical Pioneer Cemetery in a small mountain community of Placerville, Idaho, U.S.A. The eldest is from Tyrone Cty. Ireland. I have pictures of the headstone's if there are any descendants/relatives curious and would want to see them...and is interested in telling his story.. I would love to hear them!! To my surprise, this spring I did my DNA with ancestry.com, and am proud to say I am 36% Irish..I never knew..
