    I think that the F2 freestylers are a perfect example of this. There shooting, dribbling and ball control is Probably around pro level but maybe there off the ball movement and there tactical stuff isn’t at a pro level

I had my first trial with a professional club abroad last week and that's the first thing that stuck out with me that just about everyone, irregardless of position can do everything to a satisfactory professional standard. Obviously players will have their own strengths but there isn't a massive discrepancy at the professional level as you were saying. It's a big wake up call playing with a professional squad, it really makes you aware of your own weaknesses. Not that that's a bad thing though!

    Hey Matt, I am a 15 year old footballer on a mission to fulfil my potential of playing professional football which many people believe I can do. I’ve always been on the up but every time I seem to be in a good run of form I end up with an ankle injury. Ex; I will be playing really well and start to get attention from many when in games. I am a starting striker for my team and always have been since joining and my coaches know I can truly be a great footballer but every time I am at peak form, I sprain my ankle because of fractures in my growth plate and tibia when I first started playing at a high level. I have always gone by the wise words, “every set back is a set up for a comeback” and right now I’m still recovering from an ankle sprain that has prevented me from a tournament in Spain. But since I have my biggest and most important season coming up this summer, I’ve decided to use this time to recover and rehabilitate my ankle to the best I possibly can which might have been the problem looking back now. Do you have any advice that I can take in and use for my greatest comeback yet. Anyone else is free to answer I’m looking for everyone’s opinion ⚽️👊🏿

    i agree to some extent. but to counter your point what about pirlo, scholes and xavi who aren't athletic? they'd probably have a score of 30 or 40 for athleticism but are regarded as some of the best central midfielders of their generation. do you really need to be at an exceptional level in all aspects of the game? or do you just need to play to your strengths (i.e in their case their vision, passing, spacial awareness) and avoid your weaknesses... can an exceptional strength counterbalance a weakness?.....

    • @BecomeElite
      @BecomeElite  Před 6 lety

      Maxinho I think you are underestimating how unathletic these players are. They still are very athletic and would probably be the faster, more athletic guys on an amateur team, but when constantly compared to players that are exceptional in athleticism like Ronaldo or Bale they appear unathletic. They aren’t exceptionally athletic, but they are proficiently athletic and then specialize in ball work, vision, and passing. Just like how Theo Walcott or Danny Welbeck aren’t unskilled, they are just exceptionally fast and athletic. They have good ball skills, but when compared to pirlo, xabi, or scholes they would look unskilled and be like a 30 or 40 is technique. If they were on an amateur team they’d be the most skilled player on the team. Look at who they are being compared against.

      to be quite honest, instead of spending that much time on juggling, you should do sprints, go on runs, agility training and other things. don't just focus on juggling. but you should juggle as many times as you can (each time you're going to practice shooting, bassing, ball control, etc.) and then you will be able to juggle a lot more (it will be natural)

    • @danieljiha1323

      The road of juggling from 0 to 30 takes just as long as from 30 to 500. I used to juggle 5 times only 7 months ago now my top score is 323, and that is using both feet. Juggle for 20 minutes every day and results will come

    Matt, please help me here. My yard doesn't exactly accommodate soccer training and I keep shooting my ball over no matter what I do and the fields closest to me aren't in good walking distance, do you have any advice on how to fix this?

      Gideon MJ Simple! Either you live with it or you Move. Stop making excuses. Yes this is one. I'm in same situation as you but I NEVER had a thought about it until I read your comment.

    dude do you i should quit soccer? I keep spraining my left ankle over and over again and it pisses me aoff. I'm currently injured and I have a tournament next month. What do you think I should do?

      qqsdfghj You need to improve your balance because after you sprain your ankle it loses stability. If you don't improve your balance you'll keep spraining your ankle, I had the same problem.

      qqsdfghj The same happened to me: I sprain my right ankle 3 times and my left ankle 1 time. That is why my physio told me to use an ankle support or a bandage, so that it wouldnt happen again. Now I always use an ankle support on my left foot and a bandage on my right foot every time I play (training and games) and I havent been injured again. It might be a little uncomfortable at first, but it is worth it. If you don't know how to bandage your ankle just search a youtube video or ask your physio.
