As always, Gavin's videos are just superb. Thank you.
Great that you've gone back to the 15 min challanges, I've always liked them.
Just need to go out and find some bluebells now before they all due off.
It would be great to see you revisit this topic. Bluebells should be in bloom from mid April. As always, thanks for sharing your knowledge & experience. 👏👍
Thanks Gavin, for a wonderfully instructive video. I love the fast pace and useful content.
Fantastic video! I like the studio work you do but the 15 minute challenge is my favorite! Love your creativity!
Thanks Gavin for all your inspiring videos!
Love your videos. Keep up the great work and these instructional videos. You inspire me a lot.
always enjoy your videos...thank you
Thank you. The 15-minute challenge videos are by far my favorite. It is a way to see the possibilities. I will be on a cruise next week. One thing I am planning to do is create my own 15-minute challenge at sites. Why? So I can focus for brief periods and enjoy the cruise without constantly taking photos.
Good idea. I go away on trips and feel the photo opportunity takes over the ambience of being somewhere new and discovering it. :)
Great video. I love the way you included Ella in the video. I guess, I'm an animal lover too.
love everyone of your vids Gavin ...ur a top 10 class
Beautiful pictures! Thank you ever much >Gavin..., I try this photograph.
Nice video Gavin. The 2019 content aware sure makes filling those edges quick and easy.
Thanks Gavin
Good straightforward stuff, good video
Near Brussels there is the Hallerbos, covered in bluebells, but it's forbidden to get off the tracks and step on the flowers
Hey Gavin, You're the best!
What a wonderful bouncy dog! She would have been perfect for a good set of portraits.
I miss these photo challenges.
Oh, Ella! What an adorable dog. How cold you ignore her Gavin? ;) Love the color spread all over the floor of the forest. Thanks for this tutorial.
a shot with the dog trying to get it (what ever it was) would be good
Canon and Nikon have a different way how they keep focus I tried with my Nikon D810 by just switching it on manual after I took the reading and of course I was on a tripod and I was able to get everything in focus. I did this with trial and error. I also have the canon 5D2 with the 24-105 F4 my workhorse lens and when I took panos using a cable release I focused once and took the reading and took every shot sequentially w/out letting go completely after each shot knowing that the buffer is good on the 5D2. When I do this I try to freeze action and most of the time it worked for me.
I can't figure out why there are any dislikes. Great video again. I always look forward to April & May in Hampshire. Bluebells everywhere.

This can't be the real Gavin Hoey. Turning the clarity down?
Very nice pano Gavin and I liked the inclusion of the dog.
nice photos fella
Really think you should have incorporated a 'leaping dog in the bluebells' picture ! ;) ♥ Gavin Hoey Beautiful pictures Gavin :)
lol my hubby will wish I watched this before I went to our bluebell wood. I took 4 lenses with me, tripod and nd filter and had to be encouraged back out of the woods after 1.30 hours. Heidi Anne Morris ... I really enjoyed the video Gavin Hoey
Rosie Nixon good times x
Interesting video, thanks for sharing it.
It could be me : i recently went to take photos of bluebells in Belgium, using a tripod, the same zoom fitted on my 7D. I also tried a panorama but lightroom 6 failed to stitch it so I used photoshop.
PS : I wear similar shirts, I also have a goatee and short hair but I don't have dog and I speak English with a French accent !
Patrick Mayon hee hee ;)
Heidi Anne Morris I agree. The wonderful dog should have been included. It would have made a great picture.
great video Gavin , Eller leaping would have also made a great shot
down with the clarity? that's new :)
Hey Gavin and Adorama (and Mark Wallace). your videos have taught me so much. what are the chances of getting a Jedi tutorial similar to your Red Riding Hood tutorial? just with more lightsabers :) thanks!
Nice
I have a question, and I've been wanting to know for a long while. When Gavin is shooting his panorama, what focus mode is he in? only because when he is doing it, is the camera constantly trying to focus, or does he put it into manual before going around so the focus doesn't keep going in and out? hope someone can answer this for me, thanks!
Can we please have more videos with Ella? That would be great, thanks.
What was Ella trying to catch? We have a border collie too and he has the most adorable personality.
What's your thoughts on the new monitor?
First time I've seen you use LR!
Me too. For most of the videos it makes perfect sense to just use ps, since acr does the same as last, except history.
But as far as I know, like cc/6 is the only one of them who can stitch a panorama together and still keep it as a raw file so here it makes sense to stitch in Lr first, make raw adjustments, and then finish up in ps. Ps has as he says better cloning tools.
Even though the studio stuff is good, I much prefer things when Gavin goes 'out and about' :)
Why are they called Bluebells if they're purple?

You should take all your "panorama hand" images and make something clever and creative with them.
+1 for great, enjoyable Video
+1 for Ella as well :)
Worth noting you shouldn't ever stand on them or mark them in anyway as they are legally protected and damage is a criminal act so be mindful.
As somebody who has so many followers as a photographer you should act as a good example and NOT walk into the bluebells. Tbh, watching your video made cringe - it is hard to concentrate on you photographic advise when I am distracted by all the damage you do. And the ripple effect is that so many people who watched this video will think it is o.k. to behave in that way. As long as you get your picture - who cares! There are ways to get good shots without trampling the bluebells.
We say photographers destroy nature. I think this video shows just that. Yes, you took a few very nice photos but walking around bluebells fields with a dog unleashed destroyed a little bit of that part of nature. Imagine a few more people and dogs doing the same...
I have a question, and I've been wanting to know for a long while. Jared Singleton Hi Jared! Typically you'll want to have your lens set with an aperture that allows for enough depth of field (f/5.6 - f/11 or so), focus the lens on infinity and set it in manual mode so the focus isn't jumping around. Give it a try and hope you like the results!
