The personality and insanity within the zoldyck family is one of the most interesting topics in HxH to me. The way Togashi handles it is also interesting. Like you said before, this is also where we see the most overt confusion over gender, morality, etc.

I feel like I'd be so out of my depth with a Tonpa analysis. His greatness cannot be contained in a mere CZcams video. He exists on a plane so far above us mere mortals that even attempting to capture a fragment of his appeal in words would be a disgrace to the character.
Tonpa is an SS+ Tier character that outranks even the chimera ants in emotional complexity and raw ability. The sodas he hands out are such a complex metaphor not even Togashi truly understands their impact upon the series. Tonpa is the lynchpin which holds together the entire hxh canon, and without him Gon would have never had enough energy to pass the hunter exam. That orange soda is the reason Gon survived his encounter with Hisoka because of that fat blue man. This man is more important to the series than Ging himself.
Because he's not a minor character he is a main character
Tonpa retired from the series early because the detours are more important than the destination. Keeping him around any longer would've devalued his legacy.
I’ve always seen Kalluto as the “middle” child though they’re the youngest (I believe). They always seemed lost, following as a puppy to seek potential. WELP THIS VIDEO HELPED A LOT-

I love that someone is finally talking about Kalluto! He’s such an underrated character in my opinion and as I’ve been recently catching up with the manga, I was actually really excited to see him make a reappearance. Personally, I see Kalluto as a boy but I’d be overjoyed if Togashi revealed Kalluto to be non-binary. That being said I am absolutely terrified for Kalluto’s safety on that boat knowing that both Hisoka and Kurapika have strong grudges toward the phantom troupe right now. But who knows? Maybe Kurapika will spare Kalluto since he knows he’s Killua’s brother and because Kalluto wasn’t involved with the Kurta clan massacre.
Ur also forgetting illumi is also on that ship... no one is touching Kalluto

The photo of the Zoldyck kids and their mom, makes me feel bad for Kalluto. The kids are just chillin, but Kalluto is reaching out and holding onto their mom's dress, like they long for meaningful connection or something? idk, whatever it is, it makes me feel bad for them.
I really enjoy Kalluto’s character and it’s such a shame we don’t get to seem more of them.

My headcanon is that Silva favors Killua is (at least in part) because it's easy for him to look at Killua and see himself. Classic controlling father stuff.
@@indigohalf Honestly, I think hair color is just how they decide which one's the special child to be groomed as a prodigy, like some kind of tradition. Since realistically speaking Illumi is the most skilled member of the children, both physically and tactically, AND is the most dedicated to the family business of them. But Illumi isn't considered for the running any more than fucking Milluki is.
@@md_played_by_md I don't know, they all seem to agree that Killua is more talented than Illumi but I agree that the degree to which they're convinced he's the right choice before he even learns nen is strange. I mean sure Illumi is not really a good choice for head because of his psyche but that's directly stemming from the fact that Killua was chosen and it's not like Killua is psychologically ready either, the entirety of the manga is there to prove that he isn't.
Well there is a theory that nanika was passed down through genetics from the dark continent so there is a chance that an ability comes along with the white hair gene.

Thank you so much for making this video! Kalluto is also my favourite Zoldyck, and not one many people talk about!! They are just...left in the shadows. Personally, I think their Nen Ability is one of the coolest!! I'd love to see more of their story expanded upon in the future there's so much potential for growth with them!!

Is Kalluto on the expedition to the Dark Continent with the rest of the Phantom Troupe? If so, they might run into trouble with Kurapika for being a part of that group.
My guest is non of the phantom troupe, kurapika, hisoka and even any of the kakin empire would reach the dark continent. I think they will all die inside the ship or on the new continent which the hunter assosisation plans to damp the kakin. So kalluto might die on the ship or on the new continent but diffently would not reach the dark continent.

This was a well put together analysis. I definitely scrolled past this in my recommended for a while thinking "what is there to say about kalluto for 8 minutes." But there was nothing extraneous here.
I think Togashi really likes to get in the minds of his characters. He just won't always let us in all the time which, yknow, isn't the best for characters like Kalluto who fall by the wayside

You say Kalluto Zoldyck and my whole body gets hot flash. Because of the current arc. Ya got 2 Zoldyck on a boat. An angry/clown who has killed to members of the spiders already. And a Boat that only guts has gotten off 2 years ago.
On another note I love these hxh related video. I really like how you dove into Kalluto a lot of people don't. Or they get stuck in the abusive household and never explore the character that have come from that abusive home. I like the tone you get when you talk about illumi and second oldest. I feel like the character that could be saved are kalluto, Killua and the baby sister. The oldest seem done for. Unless Togashi idk explain what hes doing with hisoka and illumi. Because you can't just say yeah were engage- to murder eachother. Then just go on a hiatus. I've always felt like illumi mizuki were lost cause. But apparently Togashi went nahhh.

Kalluto is fascinating to me. How did he join the Spiders, and what were his parents' reactions to this? Who taught him nen and when, and how come he's so talented with it at an even younger age than Killua but he's not considered a prodigy like him? These are just some of the questions I have about him. I also wonder about his relationship with his siblings... the look in his eyes is the one that most resembles Killua's out of all the Zoldyck kids. Makes me think the two of them are not so different.

The spider's would crumble if their leader died. Yes its said a few times that even if you take the head the spider's wouldn't die, but as yorknew showed that wasn't the case at all which was directly pointed out by one of its members.
When their leader gets caught a divide happens. Chrollo, the leader, believes taking him hostage had no meaning. As for the spiders they are split. Half want to follow the ransom demands and do everything possible to rescue the boss. The other half are willing to let the boss die and continue the fight.
In reality the spider's are not the organization Chrollo thought they were. Half the group are too dependent on their boss and would put him over the organization. If Chrollo died as I see it the spiders would dissolve, or those left standing would fail to lead the spiders past his death and crumble apart later. Chrollo is the driving force of the spiders and without him or the possibility of reuniting with him, they spiders would die.
I would like to see a video about could the spiders continue on without Chrollo and in what form.
I wouldn’t imagine him writing a “happy ending” but rather the ending that fits the story best

i would LOVE an analysis video from you of how togashi sorta writes and codes killua as gay without explicitedly saying anything. the lover's suicide line, the longing looks, blushing, and hypervigilance over gon, how his inner monologue some across as heavily romantic-laden soliloquies, his co-dependency and seeing gon as his light, and et cetera. while some of these can be argued that he acts like this because gon is his first friend; it can't explain all of how togashi writes some of killua's reactions in regards to gon (i reiterate the lover's suicide line once again with this).
like i'm not even a killugon shipper (i personally headcanon gon as aromantic! aroace even), but i genuinely, heavily believe that togashi is deliberately writing killua as having a crush on gon. his musical theme, ginpatsu no shounen, is a walts- a dance between two people, a leader and a follower, that has heavy similarities of romantic songs of the same waltzy-genre and feels heavily romantic-laden (also the song during the you are light scene, that's pretty romantic sounding). even hisoka points out that nanika's ability would kill killua and his "most beloved" and points out that it would be gon.
there's so much evidence to point out that togashi is deliberately writing killua as gay, but so many people want to vehemently deny this. i'm literally a straight (well, oriented aroace) man and i can see this.
I honestly didn't even know that the lovers suicide line was a thing or a potential takeaway from any dialogue (a quick google search gives me some clarification). It sounds like an interesting idea, but I'm not sure if it's one I'm personally looking to explore at least at the moment. Maybe I'd be more curious if I was more passionate about that romantic coding, but currently it sounds like something better suited for someone else to write about than me.
