I find it perfectly believable but I am disgusted that Johnny has had to wear this stigma for 6 years, even having the British courts perpetuate it when he’s never had a bad word said about him regarding violence. It’s a hard earned title, using a term like ‘cleaning lady’ is not only inaccurate it’s improper, and yes slightly offensive as it’s an Americanisation of the maids household duties. Which the housekeeper may take on, only if they choose to but it’s literally beneath them, they have staff for that

"Amber Heard is getting exposed which is a total opposite of what she thought would happen by playing victim of domestic violence." Rightfully so though. I mean just a few years ago we had a massive number of people taking to social media literally calling for an end to the presumption of innocence and insisting that any accusations made by women against men should not only be automatically believed, but that anyone so much as questioning their veracity should themselves be punished. Luckily Cuomo was shown beyond a shadow of a doubt to have sexually harassed and assaulted women and he was an important part of the political party of the people calling for the revocation of basic rights for men accused of wrongdoing by women and now they all pretend that what happened in the wake of Kavanaugh's nomination. I mean when you have an entire political party who will viciously attack anyone who even questions the accusation of a woman against a man and a long history of men who have been shown to have been falsely accused of sexual misconduct having to have fought tooth and nail to have their named cleared even in the slightest degree making false accusations against a male is fairly low risk.

Ben King is so clearly a complete gentleman and impeccable professional, his answer to AH’s question on the plane after damaging the Australian house is particularly telling. She asked him if he had ever been so angry at someone that he just “totally lost it,” obviously oblivious to his character and seeking validation for her behavior. He replied that no, he had not, unless you counted slapping a light switch when his parents denied him something at age 14, “but never with a person.” The layers of contemptuous disapproval in this polite reply were mostly beyond her, but enough must have gotten through that she shut up. His “spoiled teenaged child” remark was along the same lines. I cringe to think how much outrage he must have felt to say this, he’s such a formal, disciplined man. AH certainly made an impression.

I hope he doesn't have to go through this often.

  • @natlenan6743
    @natlenan6743 Před 2 lety +91

I went into it expecting to back Amber as a woman to woman. And as someone who survived narcissistic abuse myself.
My take away is Depp is an addict with maladaptive coping skills and Heard has a cluster B personality disorder. That is a high conflict couple. In the end Depp did experience narcissistic abuse which caused reactive abuse thus fueling Heards BPD victim complex. She truly believes she's abused because to her, anything but full agreement and catering to her IS abuse. Essentially anything but full adoration and giving in means you are not a "real" friend/spouse thus you DESERVE to be abused because you're abusing ME by not catering to my every emotion. For people with BPD these feelings equal life and death. And they will go to every end to "fix" that feeling in them. Which includes smear campaigns, revenge to perceived slights, and physical violence. They cannot differentiate between not getting their way and not feeling hurt. This is why relationships with the cluster B spectrum are volatile no matter how hard you try and make them happy. Undoubtedly someone will say "people with bpd get bpd because THEY were victims of abuse!"
Let's for the sake of argument say that's a scientific fact. That still does not give anyone the green light to abuse others. One of the reasons it's a disorder is because that is disordered thinking that needs rationalization. But that's why those feelings are life and death... Which causes extreme reactions.... And that's why people with that disorder need deep introspection and accountability.
In one audio recording her and Depp are in a car. Depp is attempting to consol her while stating he will not argue with her and he needs a break from the argument. He says "we can just cool down for a few hours. Go inside and I'll see you in a few hours". Heard then states she is going to DIE ("You can't walk away from! me I'll k*ll myself") because he won't argue with her, while literally scream crying in tears "just argue with me like a normal couple" in hysterics "you're killing meeeee". If that isn't 100% emotional abuse.... F.O.G. Fear Obligation and Guilt.
    Honestly.....
She's very dangerous. Because that leads to "if you walk away I'll k*ll myself and you". This couple should NOT be together. The stress causes him to drink. The stress causes her to want to unalive herself. Over nothing.
Did Depp say nasty things about her? Should they have not dated? Yes and yes. Did he hurt her feelings? Yes. But there is a difference between reactive abuse and narcissistic abuse which CAUSES the other party to defend themselves by stooping to the level of the psychopath. Anyone who's experienced this knows. Standing up to a cluster B person is extremely dangerous. Standing up to a Narcissist is by default asking them to a "who can ruin your life" competition where they will not stop until you're dead.
This is the reality of covert narcissism. Which, BPD is a cluster B personality disorder on the psychopathy spectrum and can be comorbid with NPD, APD and Histrionic disorder.
What we're seeing is a WOMAN in the spotlight for narcissistic abuse. And it's about time.
    She's a covert narcissist

Well that is dependent on the situation, I took some recordings of me an my child's mother arguing because nobody would believe how narcissistic she could be. She would lie to me about what authorities said to her, but would then lie to authorities about what I'd say to her & chain link texts insulting me etc. So that was my backup evidence of what I'd deal with.
If you're recording to set someone up and then play dumb to get them entrapped on the phone then yes that's is very wrong , but if you're recording to show what you deal with and make everyone aware how two faced or coercive the person is then it's different

@@borealisaustral892 as a person who has seen both patriarchal society and more egalitarian, studied it - I can vouch for the fact that in some societies the power structures are so lopsided that it effectively makes it very difficult for women as a group to even know or fight for their basic rights. Forget about dreaming of equality. That is not to say some mischievous women might not be wrong. I am talking more broadly. When society doesn't let women be independent in any way and legal rights aren't enforced but only on paper, when a woman is judged to be wrong for even seeing to get out of horrible physical and mental abuse , since she carries the ' responsibility' to keep the family together no matter what , even thinking of equality is impossible. It's something that can't even be imagined by those who have never experienced such a society. It's something that is a horrible abuse of human rights, but passes off as the dominant social structure is made of it. Hence it's acceptable in those places.
      Hence, my perspective.

The fact that he is testifying on Depp's behalf, an older and now unemployable actor, against a young starlet starring in a major blockbuster franchise, says VOLUMES. He needs to maintain his clientele, which means taking ANY side and speaking up hurts his business. THIS proves, in addition to his upright demeanor and candor, that he is credible. The world understands that, most women understand that (we have also been in contact with those crazy women, as friends or otherwise)
The biggest problem, is usually toxic masculinity.
Some men won't let other men be seen as "weak"
But mostly, I think the issue is that we refer to people's gender, instead of just being people, so instead of females against males and the other way around.
We should just address it like people being mean to other people...
