I changed all my interior lights except these 2. Now I know I'm not doing it. Lmao. This video was super helpful though. But I'm good.
Great video I just finished mines tonight
Just did this to my 2019 grand Cherokee Altitude. Works perfectly and looks great. A million thanks!
Where did you purchase thr led lights from?
So I can’t just change the bulbs?
Great video! Would it not also be possible to heat up and "pluck off" the existing LED chip and solder on a new brighter one?
Surely you could remove the existing LED and solder a new one on the board. You'll need a smaller and thinner LED than the one I use. I'm not the most meticulous so this way was easier for me.
Hi, I followed the tutorial step by step, I managed to do the job, but the new LEDs always stay on, even with the machine off and closed. Has this happened to anyone? thanks
to solve the problem I connected the cables of the LEDs purchased to the 2 normal bulbs present in the body ... now everything is ok🙂
Whats the part number for those? Also, I wonder if they make blue to match the rest of the ambient lights. 🤔🤔
Here's the LED chips I used. There are multiple color option.

@@DerikBouffard do you think these dots can replace the center light in the overhead console too? I'd like to upgrade that one to one brighter
@@krisdwight78 sure it'll work for the middle one to. It might be more tricky to install the board upside down.
Hi 👋🏼 Brother, Excellent solution, I was just changing the light bulbs and I didn't know what to do with them, but in the back (on the ceiling) I have the same problem, do you know how to fix it? Thank you 🙏🏻
Glad this video helped you ! Sorry I can't test it, It depend what year is your Jeep. Mine is a 2014, so the light over the rear door are simple bulbs. If you have a chip board like the map light in the front, my guess is that you could open them and use the same principal as the map light. But I don't have any exerience on these light. I don't even know if you can open it. If you decide to try it let me know !
I was able to change out the ones in the back using the same video, they are easier to remove if your car has a sunroof. I will see if I can attach any pics here for you.
@@DerikBouffard my Jeep is 2021, I'll try it, I'll let you know how it ends 🤣🤣, thank you 🙏🏻
@@kinsmen1764 That would be great and very helpful, thank you 🙏🏻💪🏼🔥
@@JoseOttati01 Great have fun ! hahaha
Hi
Where do you get the led chips?
Also did you change the rear passengers ones as well?
Thanks
Ian
Right here for the led chips : www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-wired-bolts/little-dot-smd-led-accent-light/639/1924/
Yes, I changed all the other interior light for LED.
@@DerikBouffard did you video that as well ? did it require you take down the headliner to access the light pods ?
@@ashleyfaulstich9053 No I don't have a video about installing these LED. you don't have to remove de headliner, use a plastic prying tool and It'll take you around 20 min.
@@DerikBouffard was that the Bigest/Brightest LED chip board (30 lumens - Part Number: LD1-CW) you could have installed? Thank you for your replies!
@@ashleyfaulstich9053 If you want you can find a more powerfull chip, but it still has to be slim enough to fit. It could be a little bigger too, I prefered to keep it to this size because it was known to fit. Thank you !
how many volts is the led?
9-14.8 VDC, all the specs are here www.superbrightleds.com/little-dot-smd-led-accent-light-ld1-x
Thanks for the video.
This is unpractical design by Jeep. I guess the dealer will replace the whole unit if the led is defected.
True, I don't think they gonna bother disassembling the whole console for a single LED
Can you do it for me
Just change the bulbs
