      I went with the HP11 bulbs for the brake and turn signal and then the XPR for the tailgate backup. I thought it gave off plenty of lumens but wasn’t blinding bright. Also used AlfaOBD to configure the outside/body backup light bulb(7440) as the turn signal. It looks so much cleaner.

    You can take the panel off the side of the glove box and go through the side to get the bulb also. But definitely use the tape method. Worked for me. That way you can use both hands to press the bulb in from the bottom at the light switch and the right side of the dash where the panel is.

    Re the map lights, the smaller, lower ones (where you leave that end of the cover attached) is not an LED and there's a distinct difference now. Have you removed the lower bulbs on the map lights? I'm hesitant to try to remove that cover completely, it might break. ('18 Trailhawk). Thanks.

    There is a much easier way to replace the glovebox light. If you look inside of where the light plugs in, just above it you will see a small black tab. If you depress this tab with a pair of needle nose pliers the entire bulb unit and on/off depression switch will slide out of the glove box. Allows you to swap the light without the risk of dropping it. Simply pop it back into place when finished.

    • @PrinceAkeem612

      Yeah basically it's not clicking because the part you pulled it down from the (aluminum/ silver ) part at the top needs to be slide back into position. Line it back up with the black part . Try sliding the silver part left and right and you will see what I mean. It's not about going up or down, just force it left or right then put your plastic cover back on and you'll watch it click again. Good luck 👍🏽

    You missed a couple bulbs bud. What about the lights above both of the rear doors?

      Mine is a 2017, the ones above the rear doors are LEDs already. That's why I didn't show it.

    Don’t grab the bare map light with pliers, it will shatter. Cover it with sticky duct tape and leave a little tail on it..grab that with pliers and pull it out

    I ended up making a tool with my 3D printer to get that glove box light out, Your trick would have saved me a lot more time tho.

    Did your JGC come with the tow hooks in the front bumper?

    • @thisguyvlad17
      @thisguyvlad17  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes it did. The lower fascia is very easy to take off and the tow hooks are easy to with just 2 bolts each.

    ..... Thanks for the video 👍 but, I'm telling everyone right now....my Diode Dynamics map lights and footwell lights came today for my '18 Grand Cherokee (didn't order the glovebox light because i couldn't install that last week, in my '23 Challenger 🤦‍♂️). If your lights work in your Grand Cherokee, leave them alone! This is a MAJOR aggravation, same as on the Challenger!!! You cannot grab the map/dome lights with needlenose pliers or tape, or anything else!!! And if you try and bend the silver metal plate to get to the bulb easier, that is around the inside, it will mess up the on/off push ability of that light!!! Do yourself a favor if you're reading this, if your lights are working and you don't want/need anymore aggravation in your life (over something so small/stupid)..... leave well enough alone!!! 😖..... Actually, the footwell lights in this/'18 Grand Cherokee are super easy to change, the cover just pops off and you can grab the light and pull it right out!!! Oh, and on a '23 Challenger, the trunk light is easy to change!!! Anything else on these 2 vehicles....if the lights are working, i would let well enough alone!!! If it ain't broke, dont fix it!!!🤣😅🤣
