Tried to order a G303 to no success, because of rattle. Looking for better alternatives. My EC2-A is definitely a favourite mouse so far though. Changed my grip quite a bit and am using a relaxed claw now, making it possibly the most comfortable thing i've ever held.

Just got the mouse today from amazon, the LOD issue seems to be fixed and the mouse works really well.
I have received mine now and no ''Hover'' issues here it's very stabil and good and for it's price 10/10
I just found your channel today, was looking for a good review of this mouse. I must say, I have never seen such a detailled mouse review in my life! You talk about every detail I personally wanted to know about before buying this mouse: Buttons, sounds, material quality, size, weight... You even put in gameplay clips to show how it performs. I do have to say your standards are quite high, as you seem to game on a more "pro level" as I do. And christ you have skills haha! But, I do like the fact that you have such high standards. It'll mean that if you're satisfied, the average person can be sure they're picking up a great mouse. You seem honest and not biased about the products you review and I like that. Keep up the good work and I wish you the best of luck with your channel. I liked and subscribed :)

I have a suggestion for a mouse i havent seen much being requested. I would love to see a review of the Ducky "secret"mouse. Omron switches, Pixart PMW3310DH sensor, rgb lighting, soft touch finish and a housing made of PBT looks very interesting. Love the channel

Nice video. A tip - when you do the jitter/angle snapping test, you should actually use the thinnest pencil available, so users can see the result better.

Good review as always. But you should test if the mouse spins on colored mousepads too, thats the common problem most of the sensors

+Time Traveling Toothpaste I quite like it... not the best, but definitely a top mouse for me.
I previously owned the Deathadder 2013 and was very happy with it. Unfortunately the mouse wheel button became half broken after two years of intense use. So I had to find a new mouse and came across the Flick G1 and it seemed perfect. Today I got it in the mail.
At first it felt almost perfect for me, the design and materials used are good, buttons are responsive and I had no issues with tracking when having it on the mousepad (qck). One thing immediately bothered me a lot though. The liftoff distance is high (minor issue) and when lifting it and replacing it, my mouse seems to jiggle a lot (big issue). Since I replace my mouse all the time, this was so frustrating. @07:23 Mine Jiggles more. I tested it on multiple systems and checked it with and without the driver which gave no difference.
I don’t know if they can fix it with firmware or if it was just my mouse, but I returned it and got the deathadder chroma again. I wished it didn’t had this issue.
Just wanted to share my experience with you guys.
Holy SH* that railgun shot! O_o Good video once again! EDIT: Coating looks similar to EC2-a, but is it? I get very sweaty hands at times and it'll get slippery. It's als slippery with incredibly dry hands, but somewhere in between it's very grippy. Weird, but more have noticed that. Same case here or? European price for flick: around 55 euros. That's about the same as you'd pay for Zowie ECx-a series EDIT2: It's actually 50 euros on their website. Even cheaper.

Hello Zy, very nice review. I haven't yet gotten the SS Rival, so I have some more time to decide and I am starting to like the Flick and the G402 more, since some of my friends have it and give me very nice reviews of it. They are very pleased with both mice, and I am afraid that the rubbery coat of the SS Rival will leave loads of fingerprints. The Flick will come at around 55 euros to Greece and the G402 costs around 60 euros because my dad can get a better deal for it, so I don't think there is a possibility for the SS Rival. If you have any recommendations or things to say, please reply, because I really consider you an expert at the mice department, so your opinion counts a lot. By the way, my old mouse has started being even worse, so gotta hurry for real hahah. Very nice review as always, Zy, keep it up.
+RandomCommenter123 Hey, thanks. I'd rather the Flick over the G402, but it has a similar rubber coat to the Rival I think... fingerprints haven't been an issue for me. This is one of those things where personal preference is going to take over, because both are good mice. It's up to you!
Okay Zy, the Fnatic Flick should also come cheaper (what a miracle lol) so I think this is my primary choice.

I just bought the Flick G1 so here we go. First of all the software wont work unless ran in administrator mode. When i got the mouse it functioned fine, i ran the software not in admin mode and upon closing it down, it completely rendered my mouse useless. The buttons worked but no sensor. I could not fix the problem with the software so i searched the internets and found a form post with firmware updater. Ran that and now the mouse functions perfect. The lifoff distance is high, but no jitter at all that i notice. It seems to perform excellent and i like the shape so far. Im a long long time Deathadder user, and my DA isnt quite going into retirement yet, but i will be using the Flick a ton to get a good feel for it.
TLDR run the software in admin, do the firmware update. Great mouse so far.
High LOD on 3310 is a no go. Can't believe they didn't add the possibility to change LOD through driver.

Rocket Jump Ninja: Got this mouse yesterday and i was excited to see how it performs now when it has been out for a while.
My copy tracks on 1 dvds but not on 2 dvds, so the lod seems lower then the copy in this video. Also the sensor jitter everybody talks about seems to be fixed. I tried hovering the mouse above the mousepad and the cursor doesn't move a bit. Behave like every other mouse that i owns!
The only problem for my copy is that the mouse wheel seems loose in certain steps. If i scroll one step the wheel is little loose, but if i scroll two steps the wheel is fine. Feels pretty weird if you ask me!
I believe higher in-game sensitivities mean bigger angle displacements for the crosshair for each count, so the lack of "smoothness" on the "sniper test" for 400 dpi when compared to the higher dpis shouldn't be due to anything inherent to the sensor at that dpi level, but something that'd be seen with any mouse at that in-game sensitivity!
there is a minimal angle displacement though, which I believe in quake live is what you get with sens 1 - sens 2 multiplies that minimum by some amount, maybe doubles it, lower than 1 values start discarding counts.

About the price, the Fnatic Flick is 549kr (swedish currency) which is about 55€, meanwhile the Zowie EC1-A is 649kr or 65€. Quite a bit cheaper
But is it worth it?

Comapred to the ec2-a, is it about the same size? (even it its ambidextrous) I´ll get my ec2-a today to your recommendation and was also considering to buy the flick but i was scared about the LOD Problem.

The shape of this mouse is amazing, the best i ever felt. And i have a big hand, 22 cm. I feel medium size mice are the best for me. It's a beatiful mouse, very slick just great. The sensor well is a 3310, it's great but i feel the implementation makes this sensor very snappy, i had to lower my dpi and even creating some deceleration changing my windows cursor movement to 5. Only after i felt it was like i want, lowering my recoil and not overtracking enemies. The lift of distance it's really an issue but in my case doesn't affect me too much, it's just strange some times the direction of my sight changes when im just walking, cause i am correcting the position of the mouse on my pad.

+QUiiiii Thanks! And really depends. The Cougar 450M has some advantages, being much easier to grip (better side shape) and wider at the top middle, but while they both use Omrons, I prefer the softer click of the Flick. Sensor performance, 450M has the better implementation of the 3310. Overall though, I'd use the Flick because personally, side buttons on both sides doesn't work for me.
As for claw grip, depends on your hand size, both mice would be good, depending if you're ok with the side buttons on the 450M.

i have both, rival 300 and the fnatic flick, and its the total opposite. fnatic has an ambidextrous shape, is a lot lighter, the balance is better, the cable is stiffer but not as annoying. its just totally different.

Nice review Zy! I had a quick question. Does the software for this mouse allow you to turn off the acceleration? What worries me is that one of the key specs on this mouse is "max acceleration". I'm not sure if it's on by default, unchangeable, or you can turn it off. Please advise. Thanks Zy!

i did review , and i got problem with software , took 10 days for understand to run both, FW and Software as admin, cable is too hard, but overall is great device! func made M2 and was already great at that time.

So from watching many of your reviews, I've noticed that you don't recommend many mice for fingertip grip due to the common huge slopes existed on the left buttons on many of them. I myself also have a mouse that presents this shape and makes it difficult to maintain the same index finger placement during intense click spams(pistols in fps). I myself have a 18.5cm hand, what do you think is a mouse that could resolve this type of issue.(of course one could always tape on some sort of high friction material onto the lmb but that's a bit annoying)

Also, that hover jitter is bizarre. I've never seen that kind of behavior before, but at least it doesn't affect much from the rocket jump tests.

Is the Lift off distance fixed yet? I am not sure whether I should buy this mouse, I am looking for a medium sized mouse with software, and I have the feeling this size would be perfect. if the LOD still isnt fixed I might look further or wait for the FM scream one

I think I have seen this on my Zowie FK2 as well! specially on harder mousepads, rarely happens on cloth. I can't figure out if / how to update the firmware on the zowie fk2 though.

3meir I have roughy the same size hand as rjn and I’ve been using this mouse for roughly a year now and it’s not big but it’s not small either. I would recommend a smaller mouse but this works fine.

+hi hoi Shape and balance. If the EC2-A had nicer materials (rubber), a better scroll and good side buttons, better main buttons too, it would be my all purpose mouse. But I only use it for FPS gaming, which is kind of the most important thing anyway.

They were so concerned about the review that they sent me a new one that had no sensor rattle and no jitter. The lift off distance is still pretty bad though.
That's bad. I lift the mouse a lot. Well, I am not getting any mouse anyway, I have to save some more money to help my family.
Which one would you rather recommend: this one or the Logitech G403 with the 3366 sensor?

+Wrathorn Thanks for the sub! Also the jitter only happens when you keep the mouse raised off the pad... once they fix the LOD with firmware it should be fine. It's a 3310 sensor, so it should be one of the best.
+Rocket Jump Ninja Thanks. Did they promise to fix it? I have Rival 300 and I have to say its horrible, mainly due to software. I needed another mouse to install it! (i couldn't move it at default) And everyday, the mouse disconnects inside of a game match or just browsing web and I have to unplug/replug it. I checked reddit and it seems many users experience the same thing . It's also too heavy and causes fatigue for me. The customer service is the worst. They just say they don't know how to fix it and will get back to me. THen they close the chat and the history is deleted. They have a horrible return policy too.
So I'm looking at this mouse or Finalmouse, but FM2016 is nowhere to be found at any store! Ebay wants your bank account for it lol.
Wrathorn Still waiting on word about the fix. And yeah Finalmouse would be online only. I got mine from Amazon.
So it's between FM and G1 for me. Too bad they only sell at 1 store each, one is literally not available til the end of time and there's no price competition. >.>;
+Rocket Jump Ninja The one thing I really wish you would review/test is Input lag. Some mice will have as much as 20ms input lag (click latency) and that's a GAMING league mouse. Why are people spending hundreds more dollars to reduce monitor input lag when their mouse has more than the monitor?--and the mouse is cheaper and easier to change. Thanks though, I have a feeling that the input lag is probably low because SS Rival is also very low at 1-4ms

Mate could you please do a review of Roccat KONE XTD Optical? It's optical, not 3310, but in my opinion the difference is mostly in the implementation, so it should be good. I currently use the old KONE[+], which has the same shape but older R2 laser sensor.

Could you do a review on MS WMO? It's an old non-gaming mouse, horrible build, terrible spinnouts and stiff cable, but I can't seem to find any mouse that compete with its insane precision for games like Quake! To me, there are few that come close to its perfection for FPS games. (Btw, I replaced the plastic feet with hyperglides)

Hi Zy. I'm waiting on my G1 to arrive from the UK to USA. In the meantime, you mentioned how the buttons on the G1 felt great. All switches are different to a certain extent. Considering that these are Omrons, were the LMB and RMB clicks tactile/crisp or were they on the light and hair trigger-like side?
+VESPA5 Hi, they're about the same as my DeathAdder Chroma... still slightly different, but they're not super light like the Castor and not tight like the EC2-A. Quite a good medium.

+Rocket Jump Ninja So my Flick G1 finally arrived. And I think your copy has a better lift off distance than mine does because if I even pick up the mouse slightly off the mat in-game, my aim is thrown off (the cursor still moves). The sensor reacts in an unpredictable fashion. Apparently, there are quite a few threads about this complaint on Reddit. I might try the "tape trick" but this is rather disappointing. If this mouse was made by gamers for gamers, the LOD would've been taken into consideration, right?
VESPA5 I think they're working on the Lift Off Distance issue... email support about it, pretty sure they said they had a fix. But yeah it's the 3310 sensor, same as you'll find in Zowie, so I wouldn't stress too much, it's just a software issue, meaning they'll be able to fix it.
Does the tape method work well in fixing the lod problems?

Same issue with roccat kone pure mouse after dpi change on the fly. Only driver reset can help. Dunno about sensors but pointer dance is the same after it glitched.
+Dayset Iam Just tried driver reset, I don't think that's the problem with this ... seems to just be a high lift off distance. Most mice do it, just not at that height.
+Rocket Jump Ninja thx for answer, any advices where to go with my kone pure problems? Would be simplier just get new mice? I know exact conditions when my specimen is glitched, X/Y axis is not working, liftoff distance became HUGE, driver shows ok, random cursor dance on steady mouse etc..

Every CS:GO pro uses 400 DPI. If higher = better wouldn't they raise it?

Hi, Rocket Jump Ninja, could you help me? My flick G1 needs a new mouse feet but Fnatic doesn't sell it and their support can't even tell which one is compatible on the market. Are you able to tell me which one might be ? I've bought the MS Explorer 3.0 from corepad but is about 1mm higher and maybe 2mm thinner of what i need. I'm thinking to buy the MS Explorer 4.0 which is the same ducky secret mouse uses, but i'm afraid of being wrong again. Could you help me some how ?

would you prefere the flick or the Cougar 450M? i cant decide which one to buy scince the ec2-a a slightly too small for me... :( is the top right corner of the mouse as round as the cougar or more like the sharp corner of the deathadder? (This is where my ringfinger rests)

+Matthias Braun I think the shape is better on the 450M but it has buttons on both sides, meaning I accidentally click the ones on the right. The materials and overall feel is better on the Flick though, so I'd prefer the Flick.
