- Think I found my new favourite FPS mouse! My aim has improved considerably, and others have said they've improved with it too.
Watch the reviews though and see if it's to your liking. This mouse won't suit everyone, but I think it'll help many with their aim.

love that you are playing quake to show mouse movement
Ikr
XenatR it's the only game he can play. He has to act like he's good at some trash game.
Mr. Sheeb trash? A game that pioneered the competetive fps scene with good balance, a high skill cap and nice visuals for the time is trash?
Mast3rofFlavor he is an idiot, probably a newbie who started CSGO and thinks he is the shit at it. little does he know that there are games that challange you almost as much as csgo lol
True, I barely even played quake and know that it is not easy.
Love your vids... You telling about mouses everything i need and your hand size as mine so you are helping me to choose :D
I made a satisfying purchase last weekend. It's perfect for me. I watched your videos about zowie ec2, and it helped a lot. Thank you for great videos.
Zowie shared this vid on facebook! Cong.
+Madara Yeah I saw! Thanks!
+Rocket Jump Ninja Good job dude. Someone needs to fucking pay you already haha. I wanted to ask if you noticed any smoothing issues with your Zowie EC2-A? I hear someone claim this. I get mine sometime next month. Did u have to wait an extremely long time for shipping to get yours? Amazon takes 4-6 weeks just to ship them right now.
Nathan Grant Being paid would be nice!
And no smoothing on EC2-A. And I got mine from the local shop. They're not meant to be available just yet, since the recall, so it'll take time to get them. My Amazon order (Finalmouse) got to Australia in 2 weeks, so I don't think it's a delayed shipping thing, it's just the mice aren't available yet (they did say March sometime).
Oh wow. Thats exciting :) oh thats so nice to hear. I cant wait to get mine. Whats nice is it will be the updated version as well. Sadly, for me, there are no local shops to get this mouse :'l. I will do my first mouse review on the EC2-A! Ive tested so many itll be nice to give my opinion of comparisons. One thing Id like to mention to people is that shape is definitely more important than the sensor. But they are both insanely important. I use the mice I do because of my grip ofc. I have large hands, and use small mice. To the average gamer, they would say wtf? If u seen why though, it makes so much sense. I would just like to throw my two cents in there ya know :). I think you do very good at covering what is important.
+Nathan Grant Yup, agreed... need a good sensor, but I'll take the right shape over the best sensor.
Can I just say your the best mice reviewer on CZcams? Amazing and informative review!
+hanteroes That's nice of you, thanks! Stay tuned, editing the Mionix Castor review now, should be up a bit later.
Thanks to you Zy I bought this mouse with the mouse pad Zowie G-SR, months ago.
So far it's performance is great, and I can definitely see that Zowie EC2-A has improved my aim in CS:GO.
I wish you all the best and hope that you will make more awesome reviews in 2017.
Your reviews are amazing and detailists without prolong. Your real tests are amazing. The camera in monitor and your hand are awesome.
I'm looking for reviews like yours for 3 days to help me choose a mouse. To me deathadder is too big too.
Thank you about your great job. I'm buying this mouse right now. My confusion is gone, haha.
Regards and good lucky!
Great reviews mate keep them coming!
Good review and that you were explaininh the diffrent dpi settings was super good! +1 sub!
+xDozzer awesome, thanks!
I have this same sensor in my Mionix Naos 7000, and I love it.
Hey Zy, this is quality, very impressed. Kicks the shit out of other review sites/reviewers, who mostly have nfi what they are talking about. Keep it up man
I swapped in the side part of the shell for my old gloss white EC2 (gloss finish is the most grippy for my hands), modified the side buttons so they bottom out sooner, and fixed my dodgy scroll wheel with electrical tape. Now I have the prefect FPS mouse. Great review. Those rail shots!
+Tarnell84 Those are some serious mods, amazing. And thanks!
Would you recommend this mouse over the fk series for claw grip?
I love this mouse and used it for 1 year before the side buttons did indeed start to break and stick in sometimes. Would still highly recommend, as I tend to abuse mice with my grip and break them quickly.
Mine is like 11yo and crazy but it looks and behaves like new. Extreme value. Actually, the CW models from zowie still use this excact shape and copy cats like Glorious and others use the EC2 shape on even wireless 150+$ mice
I got my zowie ec2b cs:go today. It feels so good. Thank you Zy. U helped me alot to narrow down the choice.
how's the scrollwheel?
@@awesomesauce1157 I know I'm late but whatever. EC1B user here, it's not bad but also not good. It's very clicky and kinda feels like cheap plastic thing.
A while ago I was doing some research on gaming mice and zowie ec2-a is the one I have bookmarked and the one I'm going to buy. It's great to see its working such wonders for you too! Can't wait to start gaming with that beast
+luxosaty yeah I really was surprised at how good it was, I was so reluctant to buy it at the high price it was, but glad I did!
Mine is like 11yo and crazy but it looks and behaves like new. Extreme value. Actually, the CW models from zowie still use this excact shape and copy cats like Glorious and others use the EC2 shape on even wireless 150+$ mice
I just got this mouse.. and omfg! I love it! Thank you for this review it did push me to buy it. Best money I have spent on a mouse ever.
EC2-A master race
TrojanSalesmen yo where did u order it from and to where?
i have got it too for myself and I play like 2-3x time better in Overwatch.. number 1 mouse
bro is it better than logitech 502 spectrum and rival 300?
Hassan Rox rival 300 sucks
Would you say the ec2-a maes you perform better than g303? Is it purely shape-based? Myself I liked the ec2-a but felt that the coating wasn't that good as I sweat easily.
I might get my hands on a ec2 evo shell though and swap internals.
+raimoa1 my improved play would have to be shape related, because the sensor and clicks are better in the G303. You're right about the coating, but that's why they should texture it. The materials are solid, the textures are too smooth.
hey there zy, just wanted to let you know your videos are amazing... lots of info and comparison... even tho i dont have a zowie ec2-a to test out for myself just watching all your vids helped me out a lot on which mouse i wanted to get... i decided to take a leap of faith and ordered the ec2-a... cant wait till it gets here
RIP, did you order it on Amazon? If so, it may take a long time to get there, up to 3 months actually, because of the high amount of orders
lol.. yessir but that's about enough time for me to save up and get the 1080 or 1070... time for an upgrade
Watching your reviews and top gaming list mice for fps, i bought zowie ec2a. I can say is the best mouse i ever had on my hands. After playing with deathadder chroma for a month and sensor feels better too
can you tell me if zowie ec2 a has the same issues with the ec1 a double clicking or smth with sensor and staff like that etc awesome video dude +1 sub
+Γιωργος Σκουταριδης thanks! And I've heard about the problems from the EC1 but haven't found them on the EC2-A, looks like they fixed it. Apparently they fixed the click delay too (was up at 15ms on earlier versions). So far, it's been great, love using it, definitely my favourite FPS mouse. Hopefully it doesn't break haha
Finally somenone with a review that covers the important aspects of a mouse.
So i am using the deathadder 2013 for almost 2 years now and used the 2010(?) deathadder before, but it broke. The main aspect why i got the deathadder is the sensor. It's the best i ever used and the most important thing to look for when you get a new mouse imo. Now i dont like the quality of it that much and the mousewheel is fucking up sometimes.
After watching the review i am tempted to buy the zowie ec2-a but i got a few questions:
1. Is the sensor worse or better than the one of the deathadder 2013? I am playing on a higher competitive level and this aspect is really important to me.
2. Is it smaller than the deathadder? I got rather small hands and the deathadder maybe feels a big too big, so i am looking for a smaller one.
3. Did any problems occur since u started using it?
Anyways thanks for the great review and i am hoping to see more of them in 2016. Hoping especially for a review of the finalmouse since it is also one i considered buying because it's made purely for competitive fps games but there aren't any good reviews for it.
+RezzeR I try! Ok answers...
1. Yes, better sensor, but only gives you native DPI stages of 400, 800, 1600 and 3200. I use it on 3200 because from testing, it's the best. But 1600 isn't too bad.
2. Yes the EC2-A is smaller than the DeathAdder, and the curves are less pronounced so it fits in the hand better.
3. I haven't had any problems, but I've heard the scroll wheel can get stuck in and break. It seems rare, but still worthy of a mention.
Also there is a new BenQ range coming out, with different clicks (Omron switches) and a 16 step scroll wheel (I think this model is 24).
I'll be checking out the FinalMouse range asap.
+Rocket Jump Ninja 3200 dpi, that's a good one :D
+Rocket Jump Ninja BenQ version got pulled by BenQ. To much double clickfaults.
david dave so BenQ are super serious about quality... interesting.
+Rocket Jump Ninja The Deathadder's Avago-3988/3989 operates at a much higher framerate, no?
Great Review mate, best I have come across so far...... please keep reviewing mice for future!
+Rich wilko Thanks! Good to hear. Mionix Castor review should be up a bit later. Plenty more to come in the future!
Thank you for making this video, I’ve been actually looking for a video that has a fast flick review kind of thing ya know. Anyways, now I know what gaming mouse I’m going to ask for Christmas, hope I get them. Nice video!
You're welcome but here's an updated review I made for the EC-A series: czcams.com/video/QHxUvNIVy1k/video.html
Alright I'll watch it
Ive had my rival 300 for almost 3 years now, and ive finally purchased Zowie EC2-A. Looking forward to it, especially since i play CSGO
kiiseuwa_daiaen unless you wanted to save ten dollars, you should have bought the ec2-b divina edition. It has a better sensor, MUCH better side buttons, and has glossy plastic, if that's what you like.
this mouse is fucking fantastic
Thanks to your reviews I bought zowie EC2-B and it is amazing
I come back to your old videos because I love these songs
5 years later, this is still my gaming mouse choice for fps, one of the best
If you don’t mind me asking what size are your hands? I have 19 x 10.5 hands and been thinking about purchasing this mouse
@@decstar I think you can't buy this mouse anymore, or there a new version with the same shape that's essentially the same called just EC-2, and if you use palm for your hand size I would recommend the EC-1 which is the bigger version, unless you rly like small mice, and if you use claw or fingertip, I use claw and had this mouse for some weeks but had to return it because it wasn't comfortable for me, I prefer ambidextrous mice, but that's mostly personal preference, it's always better to try the mouse in real life on a local store or lan party, but now with the quarantine that's harder
Henrique Reis you can still buy it, maybe not in your country
Yeah the EC1A was amazing I think after Benq bought zowie the qaulity control went to crap and that horrible 16 step scroll wheel instead of the original 24 and for whatever reason the newer models coating isnt as nice it has more slippery texture imo
i am still using my pre benq FK2 such a great shape for me
the days when zowie mice were often bundled with a camade bungee for free lol
Same, just need to mod it like Paracord and Hyperglides
Hello, i just received my Zowie EC2-A and love the shape and coating of the material compared to the DA13/Chroma. But i noticed that the right click on mine is very easy to press compared to the left click. Almost feels like a omron for the right click and a huano for the left click. Can you verify that the right/left click of Zowie mice have different actuation forces? I keep accidentally clicking my right click lol. I ordered it through zowiedirect.com thinking it would be the most updated model. -Thank you.
This is fairly common, I get it on a lot of mice. There's no way to predict it, just luck of the draw really. You can probably ask them for a replacement.
I'll try and get used to it, if not i'll RMA it. Thank you for the quick response and suggestion for the EC2-A (:
Rocket Jump Ninja Just ordered a Finalmouse Tournament Pro. I'll Let you know my thoughts on it even though your not too fond of them haha. I Love my EC2-A though.
Rocket Jump Ninja Picked up a Logitech G403 Prodigy today and love it!
Nice!
Thanks to this video, I got an EC1-A months ago. Later on, I bought the G403 Prodigy. Now guess which mouse I'm using again. Thank you Zy.
Hey man, great videos! I was just wondering what polling rate you keep your mice at? I'm having trouble deciding if I should use 800hz or 1000hz polling rate.
BEST MOUSE EVA, for CSGO. also a great review my friend keep it up
I finally received the mouse last month, but I am still crap at Battlefield. >
Another nice review! Regarding the feet, a pure speculative guess, i wouldn't be surprised if the material has a wax on it post production which takes a little time to wear off.
Hi! First of all, I love your videos, you do an amazing job here. I would like to know if I could please ask you for advice, considering I'm torn between the EC2-A and FK2. My hand size is exactly the same as yours and I mainly claw grip or finger tip. I play both MOBA and FPS. I'd love to know if you could recommend me one of the two, please. Many thanks in advance and keep up the great work!
should i switch from the g502??? ec2-a looks alot better
i got zowie ec2-a like 5 days ago and my skill grow up like 2-3x time better in Overwatch.. not kidding dude. one of best mouse
Just a PSA to any claw/fingertip grip users out there. I got this mouse a couple weeks ago and I'm about to return it because I just haven't been able to find a comfortable grip with it. I have 19cm hands. I think it's an absolutely incredible mouse but it seems to primarily be for palm grip. I love the look, the texture of the mouse, the lighting, but I feel like I'm always wrestling with it to get comfortable, mainly where my ring and pinky rest. When I'm playing a game I'm always aware of it and making slight adjustments, which is distracting. If the bulge on the right side and the one in the bottom left corner both came in a little bit I think this mouse would be perfect for me.
tl;dr: Overall this mouse is awesome, but just know that if you're a claw/fingertip player you may have trouble.
zawarudo have you tried the fk or za series?
I think the shape of the FK would be great for me but I mainly play MOBA. I got used to the clicks of the EC2-A and actually came to enjoy how solid they felt, but any more stiff than that would definitely fatigue my hand very quickly.
this is obv too late but did you try ec1-a? Its for large hands
I don't use palm grip so a larger mouse would not work for me.
So the size you need is inbetween the 2a and 1a? riiip.
First of all great review man. Now, should I buy this mouse since I play csgo, but I have a palm grip. What do you recommend?
Nice review! I saw your G303 and EC2-A review and I'm asking what mouse would you recommend me between these two. My hand size is 16cm and 8cm and I use a palm grip. Which mouse would you recommend?
Gonna try out any of the new BenQ Zowies?
Yes, will probably compare them.
Rocket Jump Ninja (Mouse Reviews and Gaming) Great! Really like your reviews :)
+SlyWolfz that's a fairly safe option even without the comparison. Let me know if you get one!
+WTFDalis glad to hear it, thanks :)
I am getting this, no more changing decisions :l
+DP2gaming Did you get it bro?
Yep. Its amazing. My aim improved significantly.
+DP2gaming Just got mine! Hopefully it works well for me as well.
+DP2gaming if only i can get mine tho! its going to be 1 fucking month!
+Gökhan Özdemir Yeah it's crazy on Amazon it says will ship in 1 to 2 months. I'm not going to purchase anything that says it will take that long to ship!
awesome videos man, great quality and very informative/ to-the-point. Get your hands on a final mouse 16' ergo, would love to hear your thoughts on it! keep up the good work +sub
+shane mccafferty Thanks! And yes, after the Fnatic Flick (tonight), I'll be testing the Finalmouse 16 ergo.
Just got my new Zowie EC2-A thanks to this video. This is hands down the best mouse I've ever owned. I've put aside my Razer mouse and I'll never look back. Thanks again RJN for such a good vid.
yes I finally got mine. It feels amazing for someone my hand size(18cm by 9cm
Mind if i ask a question? IS it possible to set macros on the side?
It's not. But you can bind them in-game.
Yeah you can only bind in game
Honza Rappresent But, lets say in League of Legends, i wanted to bind a letter such as 'q' to the front button on the side. LoL doesn't have a feature that binds it to mouse button.
This mouse is really for fps games man.
its my best mouse that's why I'm watching this video
good review! definetly underrated mouse :)
+Fherrera thanks! Yeah it is a bit. Hopefully the new BenQ additions help change that.
awesome reviews. i'm sure you have it stated somewhere, but what is your favourite mouse/ what do you use daily
damn you good
Is this mouse still a good option today? If not what are some that are like this?
Just got mine today, I'm a student so didn't want to pay extra for the EC2-B. If you have the extra £10 then it's worth getting the EC2B as it has a newer sensor, same shape and better side buttons. Shape seems really nice, almost perfect for my 17.5cm x 10 cm hands.
Forgot to say, the EC2B was listed as number 7 in the top mice for 2018 (released 2 months ago), the EC2A is just got a slightly worse sensor/side buttons.
s2 divina
@@bord5581 S2 for claw/fingertip EC2A/EC2B for palm
this is still a very very good mouse i play csgo and it is still the most used mouse for competition the sensor has very very little affect on the mouse i prefer the ec2a but its because i have used it for years. Just bought a new one as my old one began to stop shooting at random times.
I bought the G302 and love it BUT I'm having an issue. When I move my mouse SUPER fast to spin around (using low sens in Overwatch) sometimes my mouse shoots down and i'm looking at my feet. I can reproduce this easily. I read that some mice have low IPS and moving too fast can confuse the sensor. Have you had this experience? I'm considering buying the ZOWIE to avoid this issue. (steel series mousepad)
I have an EC2-eVo that I got second hand off of eBay for cheap. I love the thing and mostly play Overwatch and would like to play competitively. So now for a few questions, if you don't mind:
Should I get the newer version of the mouse (EC2-A)?
What mousepad should I use with it?
Thanks in advance, and amazing channel. Very informative.
watching this with my ec2-a XD
QL hitboxes ftw
+Sky Vins yeah they're weird since the Steam update.
Rocket Jump Ninja (Mouse Reviews and Gaming) they seem to move slower. i see many rails hitting people whose models are far past cover. probably something similar to the unlagged netcode many modern games have... it reaches back about 100ms, checks if your target was ever there, and if it is, it just allows you to hit.
+Sky Vins true, I was thinking the same. I mean, even with the rail being thin, there's no way I should have hit that shot through the floor ... but because I have a feel for this netcode, there wasn't a doubt in my mind that I'd hit. The surprise came later when I realized just how far off it had been.
Hi from Germany, great review here but I've got a question.
So at what hand-dimensions is a hand considered "big" in your oppinion? My hand is 20cm in length and 10cm in width. Would the EC2-A still be the favorite or maybe the EC1-A?
Have followed your mice videos for some time, I mean seriously you are doing the best mouse reviews on CZcams for sure. Here is my ultimate question to you, what mouse do you recommend in 2018? I can´t find a decent one.. (Havent tried this but tempting to buy it now) all kinda have stupid buttons on the sides I don´t use at all and just get in the way.. or have some rubber coatings that after months of use just peel off.. get glue on your hands (ASUS, RAZER mice) and stuff like that.. then again don´t fancy plastic too much.. ugh.. I feel I need to make my own mouse haha.
But srsly.. what do you recommend for a regular joe? I just like to enjoy casual gaming, I also make gaming content etc. Thanks man!

nice review bro. shame i'm left handed.
+mike durkiewicz must be a nightmare finding a mouse. Razer DeathAdder left handed version maybe? Roccat Kiro is good but heavy. Will be reviewing the Corsair Katar soon, that has no side buttons. Also might be reviewing the Zowie FK2 or ZA12 soon, those are ambidextrous too.
it was hard and I tried the Razer DA lefty :) the plastic sides are very slippy sadly. an updated version would be better, but that will never happen! currently rocking a Mionix Avior 7000. the switches and shell implementation are better than the FK/ZA series, but the shape could be better i guess. it'll do for now though.
+mike durkiewicz yeah Avior 7000 looks decent enough. I'll have a Castor next week, first Mionix mouse so should be interesting. Let me know what you think of the Avior 7000 when you get it!
the quality is great. i'm sure you will enjoy it!
+mike durkiewicz Zowie FK1 and 2 are both ambidextrious.
Thanks again for the video
why dont you make a video with razer ouroboros is it bad? btw i matched that zowie cable is not like razer ( it seems to me plastic) im very confused wich mouse i should buy i play moba games. Was goin to buy razer deathadder but zowie seems great now. That plastic cable still not bothering you right? btw our hands size are same maybe mines a little bit bigger 19-19.5. your advice would help me to chosee. great review's btw^^
As I am writing this you have 1337 subscribers. Coincidence? I think not.
+Leo Gedin definitely not a coincidence. Also it's 1356 now, they ruined it! Guess I better chase 31337 next.
Yes ofcourse. As I am writing this I am just going to go and buy an EC1-A. Nice review!Rocket Jump Ninja (Mouse Reviews and Gaming)
+Leo Gedin Thanks! Hope it feels as good as the EC2-A, if you have a large hand, it should!
Mine is about 18,5cm but i hybrid palm/claw-grip and I used to use a G400. I haven't bought the EC1-A yet... Should I get a EC2-A instead? I can't decide... It's maybe a little too slim for me I think Rocket Jump Ninja (Mouse Reviews and Gaming)
Just got me EC2-A today feels realy nice scroll wheel was harder then i thought.I have 18cm ~~ hand and it fits nice! So i think it would work for you :)
Razer is just overrated in terms of fps. Zowie is king
good review. have had this mouse for something around 1.5 years now. my complaints are just as you adressed the texture of it feels slippery but only for the first 15 minutes or so. also ive developed an bad habit, my grep style (palm) its crushing my pinky finger. looking for a bigger mouse, something taller and maybe wider? any recommendations? Also one more thing: ever experienced "slow mousepad"? tried with different types of mouspads and mices and all of them gets slow or "saggy" after just days. friction between mouse and pad? any1 had the same problem before?
Looking forward for this mouse since my Razer Taipan had a reconnecting issue and i kinda wanna game a little bit more better.
Man i finally bought this mice, and let me tell you guys , my hands are about 18.5cm size and im have been using the intellimouse 3.0 for 8 years, and trust me this mice is just small as hell, how can you say this is a medium size mouse, its impossible (the build feels like plastic)
This comment needs more thought put into it.
"I've been using a large mouse for 8 years, this mouse isn't as big, how can you say it's medium!? It's smaller than the large!"
Yeah... that's kind of what medium is.
Seriously though, if your hand is actually 18.5cm, you should keep using that mouse for the next month or so, see if your aim improves (after you stop complaining that it's not the Intellimouse 3.0).
I understand what you just said and its kinda true, but some how the new logitech g403 feels ok. The ec2-a feels way too small and i did ask to my brother (and no he is not a gammer) he said the same thing even doe he didnt touch on my oldschool ie 3.0
Yeah the EC2-A has a fairly thin grip width (where your fingers go), so it feels more like a small mouse there, but the rest of it is medium sized. A small to medium mouse would be the Logitech G303 or Pro. A small mouse would be the SteelSeries Kinzu. A medium to large mouse would be the SteelSeries Riavl 300, and a large mouse would be the Razer DeathAdder Chroma (probably the most like the Intellimouse 3.0).
Your aim should be better with the EC2-A though, give yourself time to adjust and see how good you can get with it.
is the deathadder elite smaller than the ec1-a!? i dont mind a smaller mice than the ie 3.0, but i dont feel confortable with a mice like the ec2-a is too small :S
DeathAdder is slightly larger than the EC1-A. EC2-A is smaller than the EC1-A.
Do you like this or the the fk2 better? I originally had a deathadder but it was much too big. Then I watched ur videos and got fk2 bc it fit my hand size, which is very similar to yours and it feels great overall but maybe a tad small sideways
Hey man, any idea if any of the BenQ zowies have the scroll wheel issue still? I can't find anywhere to get the original model of EC1-A (in UK). I've bought and returned 2 deathadder elites because they all have a clicking fault so I'm trying to stay away from Razer. Been using a steelseries 300 for now but I think the EC1-A would be perfect if it didn't break in 1 month. Unless you have any other recommendations for Deathadder alternative?
awesome review dude! You sold me on this zowie. What was the music for your vid tho?
Great mouse for gaming, although honestly not the best for general Windows use. Music is original, they're songs I've made over the years. Can't remember which I used in this one.
@@RocketJumpNinja it's zyism respect
i never pressed my palm to the mouse, even its a big rival300, when i
use kinzzu my pinky never touch the mouse and my hand size is 18.5cm
long to middle finger and 17cm to my index finger, 9.5cm width. is my
grip style is finger tip?
and what mouse should i use? EC2-A or FK2/FK1? i play csgo.
I'm currently using a Razer Naga Hex (and sometimes my Deathadder) and both of my mouses are set on 1.4k DPI which I find the most comfortable DPI for me. I played HotS (MOBA) on a professional level (and might do it again) so the following question is very important for me:
I've heard on this mouse you can only swap between 400 / 800 / 1600 /3200 DPI. On my razer mouses, I was able to set my DPI anywhere between 100-5600 DPI.
Will this be a problem? Or is the setting of like 800 or 1600 close enough to the 1.4k DPI on my Razer mouse?
A bit of a complicated question, but I really want to give this mouse a try, since I've heard a lot of positive reviews about it.
Hey hoping you can help me. Im looking for a replacement of my long-lived mx518 as it has just completely given out on me.. So just wondering, Is the ec2-a a similar size and shape to the mx518 or would the FK series be better fit for me? The problem is im neither a palm grip or claw grip, im somewhere inbetween (slighty risen hand off mouse but not major, but not far back like the fingertip grip).. My hands are the same size as yours (from another video), hopefully you can help :P
I was planning to buy EC2-A from nearby shop, I was wondering if there is some visible way to know if mine has omron or huano switches? Maybe different packaging, or slight variations in text on them? Or are they looking identical. (Btw I'm not talking about old white logo with 24 scroll wheel, I'm just interested in red logo ones).
Between tweeting Zowie, reading reviews & asking /r/mousereview I am at an almsot 50/50 split between the EC1-A & EC2-A. I have 18.75 x 9 cm hands & can't decide which one I should get. There are NO local stores that I can try them on unfortunately, so I am hoping that you can help me out. Which would you recommend? 18.75cm x 9 cm - palm grip - mainly FPS games
i liked the razer deathadder, right now i have a g203 but the sides are sort of awkward to hold (ive gotten used to it and adjusted)
the deathadder was a little too big though, would this be a good choice? (sort of worried about the side buttons though i use them for voice chat)
edit: btw i use claw grip around 18.5x 9.5 hand size
Hi Rocket Jump Ninja! Keep up the good work! Good to see that you're reviewing gaming keyboards as well. As for the Zowie EC2-A, are you going to review the re-released 2016 versions with Omron switches? It appears that this video is related to the one with the Huano switches (which are slightly stiffer to press than the Omron switches).
+vespa731 Hey, thanks! The Zowie mice with the Omron switches have been recalled (they had a double click issue), and now they've gone back to Huano switches.
+Rocket Jump Ninja Oh no. Really? I just saw that video you posted earlier on the recall. I gave up on my Mionix Castor (since the manufacturer seems to be difficult to contact in regards to issuing an RMA via their warranty) and ordered an EC2-A. Based on your experience, were the Huano switches too stiff or just right? I actually like how the switches on the DeathAdders (clicky) and the Logitech g303 feel. Hopefully, the Huanos on the EC2-A aren't too stiff for tap fire presses.
vespa731 They are stiff but I still like them. G303 buttons are the best you can get, DeathAdder's are good too. EC2-A's are just a bit stiffer than DeathAdder.
+Rocket Jump Ninja Thanks so much for your feedback! Yeah, my EC2-A just arrived. It's the new shell with the red logo but I was informed by BenQ that the switches are Huano. I actually like the switches. Very tactile. It's all about preference I guess. Similar to how some gamers prefer clicky Cherry MX Blues vs. Reds or vice versa. And yes, this mouse is incredibly precise (at least in my hands). Keep the videos coming. You rock!
vespa731 Thanks! And yes, you're right, personal preference... lots of people like the Huano switches, and lots of people don't. Just have to find what's right for you. Have fun!
Is this a similar size to a FK1? The FK1 feels just a tiny bit too small for me and was after something a bit bigger but have heard nothing but good things about this mouse.
Bro i love your reviews i just subcribed to support your work ,Please break my dilema .i am looking to buy best FPS(csgo, battlefield) mouse i am looking for razer deathadder elite or this on becouse of u saying its top ,please give your opinion ,keep up the great work THanks!
Very good video!
You said that holding in side buttons changes polling rate, would holding in a side button for gameplay change , or are there certain
Requirements fir it to change the polling rate?
I just went back to this mouse which is 5 years old but still going strong. Used a O Minus but just could never get used to it and feel comfortable. Claw grip and 18.5/9
Hi, have u ever used any Razer DA? if so, whats the differences you’ve noticed? And also, do you know if there is an updated version of this mouse? With grip on sides or something? Got the exact same hand size as you!
in my country, there is a Fuhlen G90 series which can be described as EC3-A clone, same shape but smaller than EC2-A. Currently my favourite.
I miss my ec2a while im watching this. it got stolen and it broke my heart. good and honest review tho. this mouse is really a great fps mouse.
just got my new ec2a today, OMG it feels so perfect. i have old rival and deathadder 2013 and kinzu that i can compare it to.
after watching your video i gave it a try.
must say wow... i love it.
+Awesome JJ Yeah it's a special mouse. Glad you like it, thanks for the update!
would you mind to do a video about how you find your right mouse sensitivity for quake?
i played cs since beta 9, last time before cs players with higher sens (3.4-4@400dpi) are dominating the game for some reason.. easier to control recoil maybe, but now with csgo its about low sens (1.6-2.5@400dpi) and better aiming.
I love playing quake from time to time, just wondering what kind of sens you would recommend for playing quake at a more advance level... thanks for your time :)
+Awesome JJ No need for a video, it's just finding a sensitivity that allows for a comfortable 180 degree flick. My settings are 3200 DPI 0.47 sensitivity, 28.5cm/360. Windows sensitivity 4/11, but Quake uses raw input.
Fk1 is better for claw grip? I mean I'm using the mouse keeping my palm down, no movement left to right like you.
Around 1800-2100dpi I use on my G502.
Is this mouse a good switch from the G303? I just want precise aim and able to flick well, and I have 15.5x8cm hands so this seems good but I don't know if I should just buy another G303.
hey mann! Waht you prefered Zowie EC2-A, Zowie EC2-B, G-403 ???Tnks
Zowie EC2-A, Logitech G Pro, or Finalmouse 2016 Classic Ergo? i cant decide
Even though it's been 2 years im still getting this
I love the background music of your videos it's simple and isn't annoying like so many of these techno songs blaring in the background of so many youtube videos.
+Daniel Piurkowsky I make it all myself, so thanks!
Except 2 songs actually, they were made by a friend.
+Rocket Jump Ninja you are a genie :D
Coolissim0 Unl1mited Just love getting creative :D
That is a characteristic of genius people
Genius might be a bit far, but I do ok!
Theres a capsule near the end of the usb of the mouse. The capsule opens and closes on any point of the mouse. Does anyone know what is the purpose of this capsule?
I've recently bought Logitech's G403 and I feel it is an OK mouse. The sensor is very accurate, but it does not feel that good on my hand. I was trying to decide between this one or the G403, and I finally decided to buy the G403 because of the complains I've read about the quality of the mouse wheel and side buttons, but I am now thinking if that would be a problem at all for me.
In you experience, which is most confortable for long gaming sessions?
Would you recommend this over the Logitech G303 for both gaming and general use or would the G303 be better overall considering they both seem to be around the same size and price.
I have a Deathadder 2009 that I have been using for over 5 years, and the left button is beginning to be unresponsive. I really like the shape of the mouse, and I'm and considering getting myself an EC2-A. However, i find it quite expensive (here in canada, it goes for 78$ on amazon.ca). should I buy it? I do not consider myself a strong FPS gamer, but I do play games such as League, Overwatch and csgo
would love to get an EC2 with rubber coating i have one of the new ones with the red logo and the coating doesnt work for sweaty hand, at least mine :(
I have a question, I hope you may answer it. Is there a way to disable the side buttons? Sometimes when I'm using the mouse for browsing I press the backward or forward buttons by accident.
Is there a mouse with a similarly comfortable shell, but also has programmable buttons and is good for fps and moba? I have S-M size hands (Roughly 6.6 - 6.7 in.)
I feel like there is already a video on this or something so don't get mad but, what mouse do you use?
I want to get one, but, i'm afraid because i read that a lot of EC2-As come with faulty scrolls and jitter in the sensor, the defect is just a minory or there is a problem with the model in general?
something about quake3's movement that i love. i used to watch my dad play back in 2000
+Brundun Fwazer Yeah id Software games are special like that. Not entirely sure what it is, but it's amazing.
@rocket jump ninja Should I purchase this mouse?
I have 16.5 cm hands and use a palm/claw grip and am using a crappy, small logitech mouse that is on the verge of breaking.
