Razer DeathAdder Elite VS Logitech G403 Prodigy

- Quick comparison between two great mice (and the wireless G403 as well). It really comes down to personal preference and shape... hand size is probably going to play a bigger part because the DeathAdder feels larger.
The good news is that they're so good, you can't go too wrong either way, so maybe check availability and price and let that influence your decision.

I feel sorry for anyone playing against you on that game...
your channel is super under-rated! my go to when looking for a new mouse!
Always good to hear, thanks! :)
Dude awesome video been waiting for this video like a week already :D
Great video, got my G403 under your recommendation a while back after quality concerns with my last Razer mouse, as well as dealing with the gigantic, brick-tier weight that is the Corsair M65 Pro RGB. With the G403, I don't think I've ever been happier with a mouse, thing just feels godly in the hand and just feels so natural. I typically send people to your channel whenever they ask me for mouse advice, since I play all the precision characters in Overwatch pretty well I get asked about it a good bit. So thanks for putting all these videos out my dude, you help out a lot of people.
After watching your G403 video I was wishing for this exact video! Thanks for reading my mind.
Great little video to guide people making their own choices :)
Dude i'm so sad... I bought a G302 2 weeks ago because my DA broke. Now the G403 released here in Brazil and it's like 10$ more than the G302 ;-;
Wow, I'm sad with you! Hope you can figure something out.
Kait0s! LOL Highlights g302 is better
try to sell it, you'll eventually save up later
AlanWMBT No it isn't... The G403 has a better sensor, it's RGB, customizable weight, better cable... And shape if u don't like the G302 one (which isn't my case)
Kait0s! LOL Highlights yeah the shape..... I love my g303's shape
I have the elite and love it! I was a claw gripper and now I have switched to fingertip and palm because of the elite and I know prefer it. the difference of using a gaming mouse and a regular $10 Amazon mouse is huge!
Yeah, i Palm and Fingertip too.
And its also a little hard to get a mouse that fits OK with both grip styles.
I switched to finger tip because logitech g pro but it doesnt fit me well. I want to use palm grip again is deathadder good for palm grip
Nice video, good job, man! I put a like on.
Razer Deathadder Elite vs Razer Mamba Tournament Edition comparison?
21 cm hands, just ordered the g403. I'm used to palm but I can basically get away with any grip. Wondering how this will work out.
Best mouse reviews on the internet... Thank you for sharing your videos...
I would like to see a comparison video between the Logitech G403 Prodigy Wireless and the Razer Mamba Wireless mice
For those of you who are deciding which one of these two you prefer, please read my comment.
After using the Razer Mamba (2012) for 4 years, now it has the double click problem. This frustrates me a lot because I strongly believe that I have not used the Mamba that heavily (not like 3 million click I guess). So, I decide to buy a new one today, Logitech G403, which is recommended by Zy on another video -- Top 40 mice of year 2016.
I always like the build quality and durability of Logitech mouse, but I find that the shape of Razer Mamba / Deathadder is more ergonomic, even for a small-handed person like me.
So, if you really have hard time deciding which one to buy. PLEASE make sure that you try both of them before buying. I did not do that and could not do that since the shop I bought Logitech G403 did not provide a sample to test. Now I am regretting a little because I really like a mouse that is more comfortable in my hand.
However, not everything is good about the Razer mouse also. Software is buggy. The button quality also does not live up to the price you pay.
In MY opinion, if you value the comfort of holding mouse more than the quality, choose Razer Deathadder. Otherwise, if you value the durability more, choose Logitech G403.
PS. Razer Mamba and Deathadder have similar shape.
I have been thinking? How about a video about "Best mouse and mousepad combo"?
Love your video's man, Can't wait to try out the Logitech G Pro it seems like the perfect mouse for me!!! Anyways keep up the good work if you ever need any help let me know.
Michael B how did you feel with the g pro?
You think reviewing a very classic mouse like the razer boomslang limited edition would be interesting? Would love to hear your thoughts on something really old-school.
Good stuff! Coming from a Rival 300, I've had a very long adjustment period to the G403 due to the tapered back you're talking about. The weight and the sensor have me nearly convinced though, but the Elite was on my short list to try out as well. I definitely enjoy the rearward hump on the Rival for comfort along with a narrow front end.
Is the DA Elite wider than the G403 up front on the sides? It's hard to tell with the comfort grooves.
would you ever do a big mouse pad video? hard type pads and so on?
2minute video compare to f*cking 18mins on the other. Greatest reviewer ever!
Your videos are awesome keep up the good work man oh and btw which country are you from
He is Canadian !!
cool video as always
so,if my hand is like yours ,i should go for the logitech?(i use palm grip)
I just bought G403...Damnnn this is the best shape ive ever met. Suits me PERFECTLY. Changed to it from G502 Proteus Spectrum. The latter is a veryyyy beautiful and powerful mouse , i loved it, but the shape didnt suit me. Its quite narrow and useful for Claw probably grip. I use Fingertrip. Im abbsolutely satisfied and pleased with my new mouse. Btw was choosing between Razer Deathadder , SteelSeries Rival 300/700, Logitech G900. Also bought new pad Logitech G240. Im absolutely in love with my new set up. (Playing CS GO)
what is your handsize?
@@zubairibnferdous1643 18.5cm but currently I use Logitech G305 wireless. Great mouse for competetive fps. Can't go wired again. If your budget allows I would suggest going for G Pro Wireless. But other than G Pro wireless I personally don't really see competitor to G305 wireless especially when it comes to pricing.
@@lex-fridman but which one has a better shape? g305 or g403?
@@zubairibnferdous1643 they are different and it comes to personal preference and hand size, g403 is taller and suits more for claw grip, g305 for fingertip. You cant really say without trying both what suits you. If you go for g305 you will be good any day because it is a great mouse and is symetric. G403 though is specific with shape and may suit you as well as not.
What about the Deathadder Elite vs the Zowie EC1-A?
Hi zy, are you going to review Logitech G102?
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO
@Rocket Jump Ninja
Hi, got a quick question for ya: so i got the g403 wired, and i cant really rest my fingers on it becouse it accidently clicks it, now the clicks feel too "easy to click in" its like i have to keep my fingers/hand stressed so it doesnt rest at all if it does it clicks sometimes.
You think i should exchange it for the DeathAdder Elite, are the clicks on the razer more "resistant" ?
10.5/19 cm hands.
Im using G403 from 2 years now and im getting scroll wheel problem recently where it randomly scrolls up when u scroll down and vice versa, many of the game which rely on scroll jump movement like csgo are almost unplayable to me
Best mouse review channel in youtube. Mouse specialist!
I have had a razer mamba elite for around a year now and have enjoyed it and now I have picked up a g403 because it was on sale and one question I have is how do your store mice when not in use
great comparison, can i ask one thing?
im thinking of getting the DA Elite mouse and im used to using claw grip on previous mice which were small, my hand dimensions are 18.5/9.5
would you recommend the DA Elite mouse for my hand size and still use claw grip?
or would you recommend the g403?
what do you recommend for a guy like me who has a 19 cm skinny hand ?
PS: something good for both TPS and FPS
Just got the G403, and I'm very happy with it so far!
are you still using
@@Emre-ff4cc Yes. And I still love it
@@papaquonis What are the dimensions of your hand ? and how do you grip the mouse ?
I have 17.5 by 9 cm hand and debating between the g403 and zowie fk2
what should I get?
I currently have a Logitech 300s, im looking at getting a new mouse and currently looking at these to mice but unsure which one...
Please do the ROCCAT mouse bungee, I'm interested in the g403 but I don't really know if it will fit in the thing, please have a look at it it seems very nice :)
I want a da e shape in my hands its like perfect for me what mouse would u suggest? Id try g703 wireless but my hands not comfortable with it..
Which of them should I get? I use palm grip and my hand size is 19.5 cm long and 10.5 cm wide.
which one is more prone to accidential clicks during landing the liftoffs?
the question is does that 3366 in the G403 track perfectly on the razer goliathus since it's colored? I've been using a DA and want to make the switch to the G403 but not if it has tracking issues on that pad (I know almost all top sensors these days don't have issues with colored pads but I just want to be sure)
Hello do you use logitech and razer sensor calibration I can't figure out if it works or is a gimmick what do you use?
Which one do you think is better? the deathadder or the g403, I use palm footprint
Have you got any size compparisons on the DM1 Pro S compared to the G Pro?
Hi Zy! Good quick comparison vid! I would just like to ask if the g403's shape can somewhat give support on the ring and pinky fingers? I have tried holding a deathadder and i find it comfortable but a bit big.. Just wondering if it has the similar feel with g403?
Hmm i've had a deathadder for the past 3-4 years but now the left click broke so i might get the Logitech G403 Prodigy
How would you say the size difference is? I find the deathadder just a tiny bit too big and am considering the G403 or the EC2a
Im using a palm grip all the way in FPS. In office and internet Iam using some kind of finger tips grip, but never a claw grip. Would you say the G403 is too small for 18.5cm/9,3 cm hands?
That's all i needed to know.
At 18cm palm size, i have trouble with the Deathadder. It's just too big, and the wider back cramps my hand after a while.
I don't have a defined grip style, it's neither palm or finger, but something in between, but definitely not claw, and i find wide back mice, and/or mice sloping heavy from the back to the forward aft, to be very uncomfortable.
The G403 seems to be a very happy medium.
Gotta try it out.
Have you compared the G403 Prodigy vs G403 Hero?
Hey was wondering if youre gonna review the saitek rat pro 8?
I got a Deathadder elite when it came out. Kind of wish I did more research and got the G403 wireless. My hands are rather wide, but I think I've just gotten used to smaller mice over the years. It feels like I have to grip the DA rather far back to get a comfortable fingertip grip, which feels odd.
Hey i cant find a mouse that fit my hand (20cm / 8.5 cm) any advise ?
I think Im gonna change my Zowie EC2-A. Its now my 3rd Zowie EC2-A (BenQ Version) and all 3 of them are really poor quality, scrollwheel bug on all 3 of them and the clicks were getting worse and worse. Some recommendations?
My hands are 19cm x 9cm g403 wireless is ok with this size of hand?
Is the razer deathadder elite lighter than chroma and 2013 version or they are all same in weight?
I just can't get over the DA shape. It's fucking perfect
@@novell80 the shape fit my hands i love it! (21cm x 11cm) hand size
G403 or Zowie EC1-A? 20x10 hands, palm/fingertip grip.
Both great mice. I feel like if some one was considering a Razer Deathadder or a Logitech G403 that the Zowie EC1a and EC2a should be on their radar as well. All those mice have a somewhat similar shape and are all 3 well respected brands with decent QA, and good product support.
Can you put the mouse your using atm in the description? great review as always.
He has been using the Zowie FK2 for a while, but I assume he is using the G403 now.
Thanks for the response
hey o/
i'm currently using a cooler master inferno for over 4 years now, and I want to buy a new mouse.
from what ive seen these 2 are the most compatible with me.
my hand is 19CM and 10CM.
personally, I really like the shape of the inferno.
I use palm grip.
what would you guys reccomend me?
The deathadder feels amazing for my hands with palm grip. Do you think the G403 would be a good replacement?
Maxerr MC damn what did logitech do to you
My hands are 17.5cm by 9.5cm, would the g403 be good for me? I have the deathadder chroma but it feels a bit too wide and i heard the g403 is a bit smaller. Or should i go for something smaller like the g303 or fk2
What mouse should I get, I have 16.5cm long 9 cm wide hands and have been looking at much since the start of the year. I prefer claw but am fine with palm. Also the Logitech Pro is not available in Australasia. any suggestions?
Destiny Waits Wtf why are your hands so small? Mine were 18cm long and 9cm wide when I was 12. Ok but I recommend the g pro or the g300 razer mice are all quite big so you are out of hope there. The g300s sensor is a bit outdated but it's really comfortable. The gpro is like on of those microsoft mice vut for gaming. Since gpro isn't available go for 300s but be wary I ain't a mouse expert so try for your own.
My hand is 19-19.5 cm and i have a claw grip.which is better for me?
i was using g400s and i want to buy a new mouse same as before, i was really good with g400s so amazing shots in CSGO what will you recommend me if similar mice for g400s? reply me pLS
Hey there, I'm looking for a nice quiet mouse that doesn't click so loud, right now I'm using the Logitech g303 and it's louder then my mechanical keyboard lol. Any you recommend? Thanks in advance m8
*Rocket Jump Ninja* This video was very helpful. I currently own the G502 and G403. I've been adding a few different mic to my collection and thought about the DeathAdder Elite, but noticed that they look very similar. After watching this video, I've decided not to pursue the Elite. Instead I may purchase the Naga next. Thank you.
My over 1 year old deathadder elites back lifts up as I click near the bump on the mouse and I use claw/fingertip
hi zy, i have large hands 20cm/10cm, wich mouse will be the best for me?(im using the g400s atm)
Well i used deathadder chroma for around 2 months but i returned it cuz my scroll wheel was pretty loose and was making noise while shaking mouse, since i play at low dpi i move my mouse very quickly and i can hear noise and feel it in hand. Now i got Deathadder elite and im really impressed with it scroll wheel is improved alot and i like shape of the mouse. Your review helped me to chose Deathadder elite over Steelseries 300 so you got a new sub :)
Well I went and got a Deathadder Elite despite having pretty small hands.. Having used an old, outdated Logitech G300 for 4 years it definitely took some getting used to so much bigger mouse. Been using the Deathadder Elite for 2 days now and I'm starting to get used to it. I didn't even think of G403 when I was deciding on a mouse. Got confused on all the Logitech mouses and pretty much forgot about them. But I'm happy with the DA Elite :)
I am staying around for the long hall Zy! See you when we make it! Make it where? Who knows, especially when there is no limit.
Nice, let's get some popcorn and see how far Zy goes!
Share a link to quake 3 is your version of the game
I'm stuck between the DA, the g403 or the SteelSeries Rival, my hands are 18.5 by 9.5. I'm still young so I want one that I'll grow into, I'll take any other suggestions as well. Thanks.
Gage Brown which did you get?
The DeathAdder Elite fits my hand really well, but I don't like that the software requires me to make an account. What mice are similar to the DeathAdder shape?
Will you be doing a Logitech G102 Prodigy review?
AFAIK it's a much cheaper G Pro with the new PMW3330 (which gives similar performance as the 3310 and 3366).
(Marketing Technique:)
it's a defective G Pro product that resale as G102, trust me, it holds within 2 months.
fell for it twice, third time go G Pro.
Tenderloin Salmon I'm using g102 since 6 months. No issues:)
I went from an abyssus to a deathadder elite LOL
can't even use the deathadder at all. ring finger cramps up with how wide it is and how i need to hold it every time i pick it up.
I have got logitech g403 , i am buying mousepad , what should i buy ( i am playing 1600 dpi , game 2.4 sensivity )
I was quite in doubt between the G403 and the DA Elite. Got the G502 but yeah. It's an excellent mouse, but its weight turned out to be a problem. And now I'm about to get the G403. I discovered your channel like 1 week ago and I'm in love already. My way to go when I'm searching for a new mouse, and will recommend your channel to anyone in trouble as well!
How is the mouse, you like it, how is the weight?
@@JLPJLP-ue9nd well, it's been a long time already, and I'm still with the same G403 I spoke earlier. For me was the best choice I ever made for a gaming mouse, and once it breaks, I'm surely going to buy another one of the same. It fits my hand very well, it's pretty light, the buttons are confortable and very durable. I highly recommend it to anyone that's searching for a gaming mouse.
hey zy i know its kind of out of the topic but do you know any mouse pad that could work good with the deathadder? hope you reply :c
Just want to say to any of your viewers. I've used a Razer Deathadder almost exclusively since the very first edition and every new edition since that all the way up until the 2013 edition that I still used until maybe 7/8 months ago.
Since then I've been on a similar but much smaller scale journey as you Zy, I've been through most of the top marketed mice over the past 2 years.
And I've found my perfect mouse in the G403, as someone who used the Deathadder for so long, as someone who felt like no mouse could compare with it in shape for my hand! I feel like the G403 shape is borderline perfect, the weight is amazing, the clicks aren't the most satisfying, but they work very well.
The only thing on this mouse that I would change? I would move the DPI button to the underside of the mouse and make the skates size more comparable to the Zowie EC series mice.
My hands are big too, and the mouse is still super comfortable. I did endup putting some Hotline Gamez Competition level (whatever that means) mouse skates on the mouse though, and they did feel better than stock.
I like having the DPI on top for other binds... I rarely use it for DPI (unless in testing).
Glad you like it though! Great mouse.
Rocket Jump Ninja In CSGO I used mouse scroll up/down for jump for easier Bhops. In COD I used mouse wheel up/down for weapon switch for faster switching and to exploit the reloading animation glitch.
I used it frequently and in a up/down fast flicking motion. It causes miss clicks every now and then of the DPI button or if I used it as a nade bind or something..
And for the sake of one extra button, compared to the functionality I get from using the mouse wheel in this way, to me it's not worth those misshaps.
Ah fair enough, guess it makes sense for different games.
i have 16x9cm hand. What mouse should i get for fps games.
I have a g502. 19x5cm hands. A palm/fingertip hybrid. (For anyone with a g502, basically a palm grip but shift it in a way that you can see the logo and lift your palm so that only the thumb part of the palm and fingertip touches the mouse but relax your fingers.) Anyways, should I get a gpro, g403 or DAE for csgo?1/1
Can somebody help me pleaseee..I have the razer deathadder elite but I wanna go wireless the cable is a problem for because it gets stuck to my monitor stand.I can't take my stand off the desk cause its permanent. So I have to go wireless and thinking about getting g703 or 403 (Assuming they are pretty similar).& 703 seems pretty good for my budget and my hand size is 18cm to 18.5.But my main question about 703 is that is the shape good for right handed user.I liked the shape of deathadder but it was too big and felt a bit uncomfortable. How similar are the shapes between a 703 and deathadder (Other than the pointy left and right buttons)?
I am currently using logitech g402 hyperion fury and I love it!!!
Hi! Can you pls tell me which mouse has stiffier scroll click? I unfortunetly can't test Elite anywhere. I work a lot on my PC and use scroll click very often. I prefer it to be easy to press with rather small resistance but i don't want it to be mushy and undefined. Case is similar with main buttons - bit crispy but easy to press - no FPS only buttons but again no mushy/flat feeling, I just want them to leave my workflow unaffected. I like both shapes but coming to Deathadders I was only able to test DA Chroma and from what i understand Elite buttons are slightly different. I play all game genres so i don't need FPS mouse. Which one do you think i should be getting?
I seem to be unable to find my next mouse I tried the hyperion fury and the g403 but both don't feel good in my hands so now I want to give the zowie fk2 a shot , I come from the original diamondback but it's time to replace it lol
Hi, I'm having trouble finding the perfect gaming mouse. Out of the deathadder, g403, fk2, g502 and g pro gaming mice, which one is best for me? My hand is 16 cm long. I play fortnite and overwatch.
Get the model o
G403 scroll issue is extremely annoying, there is a big gap between button so dust gets in very easily, after couple of months when i scroll wheel up page goes down a little bit, it happens randomly, very annoying... trying to return it or get a new one
I use pure Palm grip would this g403 be nice
So with the g403 wireless, would it be good for playing competitive cs go or should I got deathadder elite?
no way dude I was kinda thinking about going with the g403 and I'll go wired, I just need to get one of those wire holders so my cord isn't dragging along the desk xp
g403 , Corsair KATAR or HyperX pulse fps? Please help me 😑
haven't seen the whole thing yet but I know it's good!
After using G502 for almost a year, I finally just bought G403 wireless. And it's truly worth it for my CSGO gameplay either used plugged in or not.
But since I'm already used to many buttons on G502, I decided to use the G403 only on CSGO and outside my home.
Thanks Zy, your G403 review helped me a lot.
Anyway are you still using the G403 wireless until now? Any problems you got so far?
My G403 wireless weighs 97g without the extra weight which is the same as my G400 it replaced.
hello how are you, a question, how does this mouse work the logitech g403 for fingertip grip?
If you haven't bought the mouse yet, I'd say buy aftermarket grip or make your own for fingertip. The build quality is poor, so the rubbers are not the best.
RJN can you do the HIRALIY F300
is the g403 similar to the ec ?
Hey Zy, your videos help me finding right mouses for me. I just wanted to tell you something i noticed.
I feel like with your long experience and the fact that you can adapt very fast to any mouse/mousepad, can make you loose the track on sensor.
I personally am way less experienced and I play games like CS (Semi pro on rainbow six) and play with 400 dpi, 2.10 sens (fairly lower than you it seems). I can notice a huge difference between 3310 et logitech/razer DA sensors. With the 3310 i couldnt make very small adjustement like you amd I enjoy very much those last tech sensors.
Between the DA and the g403, I like much better thr DA sensor, it feels more snappy, more responsive and fast. I can make quick flick just based on feeling better with it. G403 is a great mouse aswell, but I choosed the elite juste for the sensor and the mouse feet + too thick cable on the logitech (19cm claw grip here).
I just wanted to let you know about the feeling of someone that can still feel the difference, I dont know if you could agree with me.
Thanks a lot for your videos. Good competitive lessons and as a peripherals addict, I really like to watch your reviews :)
Well, as you mentioned CS... The 3310 sensor is still good enough for a majority of the pro players. So while it might be true that you can notice a difference, it doesn't mean that it really matters in game. And I think that is what Zy is basically saying, too. These sensors are all "good enough" not to hinder your game or skill.
