What is the name of the album that has a different 3rd song? at the end of the 3rd it has a hidden instrumental. I got the album way back in the day. Might of been a demo?

mike's rapping, chester's vocals, joe's scratching.. just perfect
The perfect combination 👌👍
The thing that i miss the most are joe´s scratchings in the new songs, despite they´re perfect too
Robs drumming
To say nothing of the actual rock! Lol.
Let's not forget about Dave's heavy bass guitar 🎸that gives us this heavy groovy jam and Brad Delson's rhytmic Metal guitar 🎸 that makes this cool heavy sound 🤘🤟😎😌
without those heavy guitars LP would just be a normal Hip Pop band 😆
This is one of the extremely few albums I can hear from start to finish without growing tired of any song. Absolute banger
Same here, I first listened to this album back in January 2001 when my brother got it as a birthday present. He doesn't understand the music the same way as I do, unfortunately, so he wasn't much into it but I connected to this album on different level. I know alot about music theory, I myself play bass in metal band, and I listen to different sorts of music. But Hybrid Theory is for me one of the best albums of all time and in my top 3, and will forever be in my heart. But for me it is depressing that 99% of the people I know don't understand shit about music. I did not pay too much attention to the lyrics back in 2001 when I first started listening as a kid, but now the atmosphere, simple yet genious compositions of the songs and lyrics make this album pure art, though only for people who understand and appreciate this masterpiece. All band members will be my heroes forever.
EXACTLY THE SAME !!!!!!!
Exactly brother

There is not a single album from any band that had so many timeless bangers in it. Best album ever.
1-5 Catch a drain 😉
Hybrid Theory and Billy Talent III are the only albums out there of which I like every single song and consider them a banger
Meteora is just as good as Hybrid Theory, both are A++.
One of the few 10 out of 10 albums on this planet. Everything second on this album is dope
This and meteora got me through 3 tours in Iraq. Also, Reanimation is underrated. Crossfade's debut, every single song on the album. Also underrated.
One of the reasons why 2000 was one of my favorite years. People who weren't there will never realize how fresh and new this was. This was exactly what we needed; it was like the Nevermind of the 2000s.
I remember being juiced when this album was being released I wish we could go back to the 2ks again those were the last great years
Agreed. I had this blasting on a portable boom box with D batteries in early 01. Went through them like nothing!!
Agreed and it really holds up well and seems fresh. Another band that doesn't get the respect it deserves. Like another one of my favs stone temple pilots. You don't have to like them but definitely recognize their place in the music landscape.
First row agora ballroom Cleveland oh epic rehab linkin park and the kottonmouth kings. What a show. Never heard them till then
2003 is my favourite year
I'm 62 and was in a massive horrible state of mind and heart. When I felt I couldn't take anymore, this album kept me from taking my life. I listen to it now and it's as powerful as it was then. RIP chester
I'm 62 as well and this album was a savior for me many times. Much loved and missed chester. RIP
Dang, I'm sorry to hear that. Any advice? 4 week of pain is already taking a mental toll.
@@Krondelo Yeah, stay active. Put your mind into a project or something you're passionate about. Don't wallow!!!
Take care
@@Krondelo Find someone to talk to. A therapist. Ultimately you give what you put into it, but I have ADHD and I can't sustainably commit to a passion or a project even when I am consumed by it. And if I could turn myself and my life into a passion that I could be fixated/dedicated to all by myself, then I would have done that years ago. I unfortunately can't even help myself. But having a therapist that I meet once a week for a set aside time frame, actually holds me to the project of myself. And what I get from simply mulling over thoughts out loud to my therapist, has helped a lot. Even when I hated it. I'm not there yet, but I'm on anti-depressants and finally looking back on the totality of my life thus far, and feeling better about it.
Best linkin park album.
Be careful with the depressed lyrics, they’ll go straight to your subconscious. We have to remind ourselves that we’re ‘Bad to the bone’. Put that on your playlist, too.
Good advice. Lyrics go to your subconscious. Most music is filthy, and that's why most people nowadays are filthy.
The lyrics are a reminder. Something you shouldn't run away from but learn from.

Im 41 now and i listen to this album FREQUENTLY. Im also a female black barber. Yes it seems like this genre wouldnt suit me but ohhhhhh let me correct you. EVERY SONG IS A TUNE UP FOR ME. THE ENTIRE ALBUM DESERVES TO BE ON REPEAT ALL DAY LONG!!!!!! SERIOUSLY GETS U THRU SOME OF THE SHIT LIFE THROWS UR WAY 🙏🏼❤️💯

And im a 30yr old black African man from Botswana, Southern Africa...everything you're saying resonates with me, especially that last line. Good music does'nt just sound good it feels good irrespective of ethnicity, borders or language. God bless 🙏❤💯
You are Amazing !!!
Why do black people feel the need to let everyone know that they're black when it comes to any other genre than rap?
You're putting yourself in a weird box.
Tons of people listen to rap, they don't feel the need to let everyone know their race. Strange behaviour.
Nothing more inspiring than someone who publicly rejects stereotypes and just does their thang. Huge love and respect.
What an album xx
I’m a 44 year old black man from Queens NYC.
This album helped me get out a lot of angst and pain in the early to mid 2000’s.
I was in a very bad place in life- my fathered chose his new wife over his son, many friends abandoned me, every single woman in my life betrayed me and I ended up homeless going from shelter to shelter.
I did smoke a little weed here and there and drank very little. I’m so thankful I didn’t fall further as so many around me were shooting heroine or smoking crack.
Today, I preach and teach The Bible. I wish I could have done something to help Chester Bennington with whatever plagued him to the point he ended his own life.
I pray for peace and love of The Most High to whomever is reading this and urge you to never give up.
Shalom.
Sooo awesome!! Love when stuff like this leads people to God! Bless you and thank you for your story🤗
so happy for you!!! hope you will continue to live a blessed life 😇
Praise the Lord!

I like your words, i've depression since i'm 12 and now i'm 34. Chesters Dead was for my self logical, sadly. I dindt find God, i'm Aknostic (dont know to write it right in english). God isnt the only answer for ppl like us, but if it helps, ive been happy for you, but i guess, my pain is too deep for the point, that the bible can help me. But if ppl find a way out of depression, nearly everything is legit (if other ppl didnt get pain for your way). My english is very poor, sry, i try to get better.
Us Linkin Park fans will always keep listening to this album for the rest of our lives. This is the only album I've fully listened to at least over 110 times over and over again.

When I was a teenager, Linkin Park's music helped me get through a really rough home and high school life. 10 years later, their music is still helping me get through the tough times. Their music reminds me that there are others who have felt the way that I do which is so comforting. There will never be another band quite like Linkin Park. RIP Chester.

OMG.. I'm only 17 when this album came out, I bought cassette tape on that time, with lyrics on the label I memorized all the songs, About 90% I can still sing along with all the songs 23 years ago. Time flies.. very nostalgic.
I was 10 so it really marked my young years 😏
I had a cassette player too. Sony walkman. and these hybrid theory and meteora cassettes. I played it endlessly while walking to college. so nostalgic listenting to it now. feels like yesterday
I'm 14 and at 12 years old I had this whole fucking album memorized lol
You bought this on cassette in 2001?
In Bosnia and Herzegowina, where I live, we listened on cassete also. I had walkman for discs that I stole from UNPROFOR but it was expensive to buy CDs and there was no choise for people like me. You could buy Michael Jackson, Elton John or something like that... It was funny times. But later.... Meteora album was on CD, and things changed fast. I rememer that i riped Meteora on my computer and listened it without CD. It was mind blow, in few years things changed drastically. I was just 12yrs back then, and I remember waiting for new album or song from Linkin Park was like eternity for me... after Meteora, i didnt listen to them much. And then I grow up and saw video on TV few from their last album and I laughed... it was some gentle song. My sister will throw up if she listened that. But I respect band and I listened what they recorded in 20yrs gap and I like it. Lot of respect for them. ❤

@@nrated6332 you too bro you and yours be blessed and safe out in this crazy world
EVERY SONG ... AN ABSOLUTELY EPIC BANGER !!!
I remember having this album all those years ago.
I remember when i was 12 my little brother introduce me this album in cassette tape and at 32 i still thanking him for doing that
Linkin Park is and will be my favorite band ever, i had the chance to attend a meet and greet with them on their last visit to Mexico, i shook hands with all of them including chester, and sang all their songs with all my energy. never thought that would probably be the last time i did it.
Hybrid theory. First cd I ever brought (age 8 ) lucky the cd guy at the shop was a mate of my dad's lol.
@@jordanwone3276 it was my third, eminem show and an offspring came first, then blink182 and sum 41. Almost 20 years later and I still don't actually have any more CDs...
Today marks the 4th anniversary of the death of Chester Bennington. You are missed and will never be forgotten, man.

this was the first album that got me into the world of Heavy Metal back in 2019 when i was 13. Nowadays listening to Old School Death Metal..
Thank you Linkin Park for being the gateway for me to the world of metal !
God bless you Chester, Hybrid Theory still resonates with me 20 years later and is more relevant now than ever, through addiction, relationships, and everything in between, I hope and pray you’re in a better place, all tears wiped away and at peace. To anyone struggling with addiction, know that you are loved, and that you have a life to live, a life full of love and peace. God bless Linkin Park and every LP soldier
I remember when I bought this album at the tender age of 10 at my local Barnes & Nobles. I listened all the way through the album when I got home and it blew my mind. Even now at 31 this album is still just as good as when I listened to it 21 years ago. RIP Chester, you and the band are part of the sound track of my life, for that I thank you guys.
31 here too, it was the strange girl from my high school class that was listening to LP. Avoided the band for a while, but meanwhile i was doing Static-X, Slipknot, Distrurbed, SOAD, you name it. But i will never dress up in a suit, i am maggot for life, not a fucnking dandy.
@@TheStanislavson Same, i got into death metal, brutal, prog whatever in high school because of LP introducing me to the genre back in middle school.
I wear a suit everyday, very professional looking and shit, and it only makes it funnier when a colleague asks "what are you listening to" and see the horror on their faces when they get their ears "caressed" by a blast beat at full volume lol.
@@justsam100 Okay, both sides can apply. I will be more tolerant to people in suits from now on, but you know the type I meant, the corpo tricksters and politics with they "dirty" money suit wearers. Now i have a nice job too, but i work in a factory and there is no dress code in my department, so i keep the back t-shirts and black jeans.
Wish you best of all during this year!
same here!
the only album ever i love from start to end!
in those days they overcharged for cds wow remember paying 20 d0ollers for 1 cd
I just can't count the times this album has saved my life. Thank you Linkin Park. And rest in peace Chester.
The entire album is 🔥. I am and always will miss Chester.
This album is a masterpiece from top to bottom. RIP Chester ❤
this album is like wine, every year it gets better
I'm 22 and having the worst time of my life. Chester's really helping me finding the strength to keep going on
I'm 62 and life is much better now than when I was 22, had lots of ups and downs as many of us have. Hang in there and keep listening to Linkin Park as I have. Sending you healing energy and peace
Feel some strength and energy from Spain, good people must go through despite some mental issues or the worst situation. Keep living, just keep living, better times will come. Peace and love to you and every good person around here.
I feel you, buddy, stay strong 🫡
Haha same position man started at 26 for me, longest year of my life it feels like and shit listening to this is like listening to my own thoughts just verbally screamed out just like I want to do all the time, it's surreal. Stay alive that's all you gotta do and you already know, just eat drink breathe pee and shit and find shelter wherever you can if you don't have a place you know, focus on essentials and leave the rest I'm rooting for you!
this is the jam 🤘but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🎹🎸🎧🎶🥁
One Step Closer
I cannot take this anymore
I'm saying everything I've said before
All these words they make no sense
I find bliss in ignorance
Less I hear the less you'll say
But you'll find that out anyway
Just like before
Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
'Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I find the answers aren't so clear
Wish I could find a way to disappear
All these thoughts they make no sense
I find bliss in ignorance
Nothing seems to go away
Over and over again
Just like before
Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
'Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
'Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to, break
Shut up when I'm talking to you
Shut up, shut up, shut up
Shut up when I'm talking to you
Shut up, shut up, shut up
Shut up, I'm about to break!
Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
'Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
'Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to, break
I just found my very first CD gifted to me, which was linkin park Hybrid theory, to this day one of the most memorables gifts, i remember playing it non-stop as a kid. Finding the CD brought back so many memories i had to listen to this!!
This whole album is a masterpiece. Perfect from beginning to the end
Every song is worthy
but in the end it doesn't even matter
From the top to the bottom.
Came back here exaclty 5 years after Chester death... I was 15 yo when it cames out, I was in high school and this was my jam through whole school. I cannot remmeber when did I listen to the whole album like today. Now I'm 36 yo and damn, its just like meeting an old time not seeing friend. Nostalgia hits hard, but the album still holds on imo, one great track after another! Rip Chester [*]
same.
jammed this one every single day as well
Best album ever hands down!!
Im 46 I grew Up with this band..for me they are the BEST nu metal band..Hybrid theory And Meteora are masterpieces
My mom was 11 when this album came out. She loved it so much, she wanted to pass her love of Linkin Park down to me. And she did, and I can't ever thank her enough.
Thanks Mom 😊
My Mom's in the process of being declared insane by the probate court..... her body has totally outlived her mind------ so I turn up the volume on this. Thanks for sharing your experience.

This is a perfect album. There are no bad songs on it. ❤
36 years old from Germany. This album is as fresh now as it was on its release
Linkin Park: The place to be when you're feeling down. Our pain feels so small compared to what Chester must have felt. Screaming this album from start to finish with him is my way of honouring his legacy and it reminds me to stay strong, Thank you Chester, you've helped us all so much getting through all these hard times. You will never be forgotten
The tears still fall everytime I sing these songs with him.
i’m a 40 year old man listening to this in earbuds while my 2 year old daughter is next to me watching Pepper Pig.
She just took the earbuds out of my ears and put them into her ears. She kept them there and listened for 10 minutes straight bobbing her head.
Great art is timeless.
Got the album as a bday gift in high school, loved it ever since. To this day I still humm the next song whenever I hear one from this album. I’ve literally remembered the order of the songs. And I’m still not done loving it. Don’t think I ever will be.
rip Chester; he will forever be missed by millions, and will forever remain in the hearts of a million more.

R.I.P Chester.
As a non-American citizen, I approve of this message. I'm 18 today but Linkin Park will always be one of the greatest rock / metal bands of all time and this particular track named "A Place For My Head" is part of my teenage years. Sick song tbh.
13 million views but only 200k likes. Smash that button for Chester! Wtf.
I just turned 30 and I remember this album like it was yesterday. It was the first album I ever bought and listened to repeatedly without ever skipping a single song. Definitely had a huge impact on me and I'll never forget how those songs made me feel as a confused, lonely and lost 14-year old.
This album practically lived in my cd player as a kid
I found my hybrid CD just yesterday ✨
I'm 14, and just discovered this album! I love it! Linkin has such a unique sound.
this hits hard since his passing, such a talented man who helped so many people
Definitely a different feeling listening to it now. In the end what really mattered is that we won’t forget him.
cant help crying sometimes and its alright
he helped so many people not committing suicide including me and in the end, he killed himself... 20.7.17 never forget....
guys i know thats sad, but i think its really boring the graveyard that is Linkin Park videos comments
Time to let go, I don't think Chester would have wanted us to go through more pain then we do already
With You
I woke up in a dream today
To the cold of the static and put my cold feet on the floor
Forgot all about yesterday
Remembering I'm pretending to be where I'm not anymore
A little taste of hypocrisy
And I'm left in the wake of the mistake, slow to react
Even though you're so close to me
You're still so distant and I can't bring you back
It's true
The way I feel
Was promised by your face
The sound of your voice
Painted on my memories
Even if you're not with me
I'm with you
You now I see
Keeping everything inside (with you)
You now I see
Even when I close my eyes
I hit you and you hit me back
We fall to the floor, the rest of the day stands still
Fine line between this and that
When things go wrong I pretend that the past isn't real
Now I'm trapped in this memory
And I'm left in the wake of the mistake, slow to react
So even though you're close to me
You're still so distant and I can't bring you back
It's true
The way I feel
Was promised by your face
The sound of your voice
Painted on my memories
Even if you're not with me
I'm with you
You now I see
Keeping everything inside (with you)
You now I see
Even when I close my eyes
I'm with you
You now I see
Keeping everything inside (with you)
You now I see
Even when I close my eyes
No, no matter how far we've come
I can't wait to see tomorrow
No matter how far we've come I
I can't wait to see tomorrow
With you
You now I see
Keeping everything inside (with you)
You now I see
Even when I close my eyes
With you
You now I see
Keeping everything inside (with you)
You now I see
Even when I close my eyes
Easily one of the most solid arbums ever put out. Perfect in every aspect. This comes from someone who is mainly into classic hard rock/metal, hardcore punk and thrash. RIP Chester Bennington, one of a kind.
I never listened to this album all the way through until now and I didn't know this was one of those albums you could just listen to all the way through without skipping. I regret not having this whole album growing up now.

Why does it feel like night today?
Somethin' in here's not right today
Why am I so uptight today?
Paranoia's all I got left
I don't know what stressed me first
Or how the pressure was fed
But I know just what it feels like
To have a voice in the back of my head
Like a face that I hold inside
A face that awakes when I close my eyes
A face watches every time I lie
A face that laughs every time I fall
(And watches everything)
So I know that when it's time to sink or swim
That the face inside is here in me
Right underneath my skin
It's like I'm paranoid lookin' over my back
It's like a whirlwind inside of my head
It's like I can't stop what I'm hearing within
It's like the face inside is right beneath my skin
I know I've got a face in me
Points out all my mistakes to me
You've got a face on the inside too
And your paranoia's probably worse
I don't know what set me off first
But I know what I can't stand
Everybody acts like the fact of the matter is
I can't add up to what you can
But everybody has a face that they hold inside
A face that awakes when I close my eyes
A face watches every time they lie
A face that laughs every time they fall
(And watches everything)
So you know that when it's time to sink or swim
That the face inside is watchin' you too
